Tabirov, MELDOVIA - Years of neglect by the capitalist government and before that by the Soviet Union, areas of the northern mountainous community have been cut off from most modern advancements. Power is served only by power for six hours per day, telephone is a luxury, and there are only twelve computers within the Tabirov and Kakarov provinces. Of those twelve, seven are used by the government agencies in this region.

Since the Socialist People's Party (SPP) rose to power, they have made promises to improve living conditions for the 500,000 or so people who live in these two provinces.

Even though the country is currently experincing an economic slowdown, the government has set aside approximately 55,000,000 Dinars or about $42,750,000 USD. The state-run Socialist Construction Workers Union has also begun to move equipment and materials into the region and are scouting out locations in which to place new power stations, roads, a telephone exchange, and other such things.

A radio station and television station that will just serve this region has already been setup. The television station broadcasts during the six hours of power available to these provinces, however, the radio station broadcasts 24/7.

President Ryanov Bereria has received praised by the people of Meldovia and by his own Socialist People's Party in his efforts to improve the infrastructure and living standards for so many people. Though, while people like what he is doing, his new constitutional changes have effectively made him dictator of the country. He has used the popularity in which he rose into power to change certain things in order to make sure he stays in power when his popularity starts to "fade away" with time.
