Al Khals

Various international news sources:
Al Jumhuriyah Al Khals Dimuqratiyah labelled Corrupt Dictatorship, President expels United Nations!
"Are they stupid?" Asked Prime Minister Habib Kilany of the ejected UN workers. "Can they not read a map? Do they not know where they are? This is the Democratic Republic of Al Khals! It is not hard to understand!"
This after the UN reported that in the opinion of its observers the Al Khali people were labouring under the corrupt rule of a President who's position could not be challenged, and a ruling party that remained such only by pledging unfaltering loyalty to that man (President Omar Qottar).
"It was an experience I can't get out of my head." Said (name), a UN worker from (nation). "We had just the night previously dispatched a report to the UN office in PAKARYAISTAN in which we called the government (of Al Khals) a corrupt dictatorship. We were near the centre of Tkrat, which is a very nationalist town. We knew people wouldn't like it, then we heard shouting from the lobby (of the Omar Qottar National Hotel) and a gunshot, I think."
A second UN worker, (nation) national (name) picks up the story, "A concierge came to our rooms, which were all on the same floor, and told us that the KSU was here and that we should pack our bags quickly."
The timing of the UN's expulsion from Al Khals has worried many, especially in light of yet unsubstantiated rumours that new facilities being laid out in several locations are in fact the beginings of a nuclear programme. These sites now look likely to be developed to whatever is their end without UN supervision. They are not the only causes of concern to be found -or not- in the apparently closing republic.
(For those who may wish to know who's who and what's what in Al Khals (such as what the acronym KSU stands for) Everything Al Khali! (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104458&highlight=) )
