Bresnia, MELDOVIA - After the stunning defeat of the Socialist People's Party in the Presidential elections two weeks ago, which was widely condemned by world observers, who stated that there was severe fraud in the elections which gave President Karadov's National Fascist Party a 93.5% win, while the Socialist People's Party came in with 5.5%, Karadov appears to have been ousted by his own security forces.
After a week of protests in the streets of the capital and within many provincial capitals by the Socialist People's Party and their supporters, it appears that President Karadov has been removed from power by his enemies.
According to sources within the Meldovian Government, the President's bodyguard unit, Force 22, seized him when he returned to his Presidential Palace in the centre of the capital. He has reportedly been moved to a secure location where the Socialist People's Party has taken custody of him.
Approximately fifty minutes ago, which would be about two hours after Force 22 reportedly seized the President, the protesters seized both the Ministry of Information, Education, and the Presidential Palace itself. The President is no where to be found.
Army units that had been selected to guard these buildings, under General Mlobadov Tarchev, has refused to order his soldiers fire on the citizens and has ordered his units to not get into confrontations with the people. However, according to citizens coming in from the nearby Breznia province's capital of Brezni, citizens have been fired on by the security forces guarding the Mayor's office and the main police station in the city.
State media has not reported any news since early yesterday morning. Patriotic songs and pro-Karadov slogans have been played on television, as well as programs in his favour.
There has also been reports coming from the Socialist People's Party that they plan to hold a new conference in four hours, at which they will announce something "surprising". We stand by for this supposed "surprising" news.
