[ZN, Zaea Centralis] Today the fate of 11 million people was sealed. In a series of monumental negotiations, the perpetual Disputed Territory (AKA the former Democratic Republic of Cup) will be incorporated into the People's Republic of Zeronia. The negotiations, which took place over several months, involved the Premier himself and several local leaders discussing for hours on end in several undisclosed locations in the Disputed Territory and Zeronia. Just this afternoon, the Premier and the eight local leaders signed the Assemblage Accord, which states that the Disputed Territory and its inhabitants will be considered sovereign Zeronian territory and full-fledged Zeronian citizens, respectively. The official turnover will happen sometime next year.

Such an accord will essentially nullify the aging Stale-Mate Peace Treaty, which has been in effect since its inception in 1843. But the agreement is not just a quick, clean sweep of the Disputed Territory. Under the accord, although the territory will be deemed sovereign Zeronian territory under the responsibility of the Zeronian government, local administration will be overseen by the eight leaders, and local culture and language will be preserved. The accord has been well received by the estimated 11 million people who inhabit the Disputed Territory. In a speech attended by 4 300 locals, the Premier stated that he will personally oversee the allocation of funds to help rebuild infrastructure and work on setting up more schools and hospitals in the war-torn region.

This is quite a feat for our Premier, who has had no formal education in politics or any experience in international diplomacy.

Although the Premier and Associate Premier were not available for comment, insiders tell us that they are ecstatic about this historical agreement. With diplomacy and patience, we can safely mark the end of over 150 years of disorder...
