IN's brother (can't pronounce that incomprehensible German name)

Towards the edge of NASTY, near to the home of the CornixPes colony, is a group of islands know as the Sunnydull islands. They are small and dotted randomly across the border of the region. Few of them had been made a home for Humans in a long time, but CornixPes was quick to make a good use of one of them. The thrid biggest of them all.

It took 2 and a half years and 150 billion pounds to construct Fort Cornix. The walls are hundreds of meters high and several meters thick, supported with tough steel. The battlements are fitted with heavy mortars and all sorts of other powerful weapons. The inside of the Fort is also heavily fortified with brick, stone and metal. There are mines, barbed wire and electric fences surrounding the area inside and out. The network of buldings are hard to navigate in and are durable and hidden. Many of the walls of the inside buildings are shock proof and stable and all glass is bullet proof. There is only one entrance into Fort Cornix and it is highly re-enforced with steel and iron. The hinges are protected and spikes protrude outwards to stop people getting too close. On the inside of the entrance steel girders support it with intense strength.

There is a flag somewhere in the middle of this labrinth of men, machines and brick and those invited to the challenge must seek it.

Remember if at first you don't succeed - find out if the loser gets anything.

As the starting line up, CornixPes will be holding the Fort with:

7 million men all well trained and equipped with:
- M-16A1 Assualt rifles
- Desert Eagle pistols
- Kevlar body armour
- Standard helmets
- 4 grenades
- combat knives
- Panzerfaust 3 Anti-tank guns (optional)

1000 snipers placed strategically around the area equipped with PSG1 sniper rifles.

4000 T-90 Main Battle tanks

2000 F-15E fighter jets.

40 Merlin III bombers

1000 Heavy mortars

500 anti-air guns

5 SAM missile targeting systems

1000 Apache crossbow helicopters

-This is less than half of my army, I know I said to use our whole armies but I won't unless I realise that I'm severly outnumbered-

*In this battle we will count kills, but as it is only a training exercise we will bring back the dead at the end of the game*

*Yes, I will downsize my military if necessary*

Let the battle begin!

Fred and Craig sat eating egg sandwiches in their boat. Ahead of them was a small island, home to a giant structure.
"Look at the size of that thing!" Craig shouted with a mouth full of mayonaise.
"Jeese, is this a good idea?" Fred asked.
"Sure. It's supposed to be an awesome battle - and we'll have it all on tape!" Craig laughed and wiped his mouth. He pulled his fishing rod to his side and picked up his camera.
"Ok, I'll pull us in closer," Fred said. The boat moved dangerously close and then stopped abruptly. A bullet struck the side of the boat and buried deep into it.
"We're being shot!" Craig exclaimed and dropped the camera.

On the East wall a sniper looked down his scope and saw a fat man struggle to his friend's side as they desperately tried to turn the boat. His finger slipped over the trigger. Someone tapped him on the shoulder lightly.
"Leave it. There's plenty more where that came from."

Preparations for war

"Mwahhahhaha, prepare the attack!
Boris!, get here now, I have some interesting news for you."

"Yes comrade general." (Heavy Russian accent)

"You have been chosen to lead our troops into battle, this is the moment we are paying you for."

"It's not just for money, I love your nation, it is so.... oppressive." Grins

"Well, you are setting off in 2 hours, I hope you have got everything you need."

Boris pats the heavily modified AK 103 slung around his shoulder.

"I have everything I need."

Pulls out a laser bomb target designator

"see."

General grins

"I'll see you soon then?"

"Very soon"

General turns and walks away. Boris turns and looks at the troops assembled in front of him.

"Men, I will not give you a heroic speech, just this advice: Shoot him first. Now, be ready to move in two hours.
Steiner!"

"Yessir"

"Your airborne division ready. They will be the first in. You will prepare the landing zone for our main force and our allies. From your DZ go west and take the bay. You will have full air support, but I advise you to wear your flame retardand uniforms."

"Yessir" Salutes

"Dismissed"

The Landing

1,000,000 men and many vehicles were packed into the ships. They waited nervously for the signal that showed that their life was in danger.

1,000 parachutists were in the starlifters, armed to the teeth, ready for the drop. They suddenly saw many shapes rushing past them, then they heard them. It was some of the the aerial support.

The FA-22 fighters swooped low over the bay, whipping up the water as they went. The lead pilot spoke to his companions over the radio.

"Don't worry, our planes are stealthed and travelling extremely low and fast. You know our objective, hit the batery of AA guns protecting the shore. Once we do that, the other aircraft can join us. That means we can prepare a window so that troops can drop in."

There is a pause.

" Target approaching, get ready to drop in 5...4...3...2...1...NOW!"

20 laser guided munitions streak towards the suprised target.

" Pull up, go go go, back to base"

The planes roll and head back the way they came. a missile from the AA guns streaks up and catches a plane, the rear end explodes. The pilot ejects and floats back down towards the ground.

"Man down, man down!"

A huge roar erupts from the battery, Napalm bombs and normal warheads have lit up the target. As the planes fly off the battery continues to burn.

"Well that oughta do it."

Scene shifts back to the men in the planes

Kurt Steiner is addressing his troops,

" Men, I have recieved the all clear for a drop, F16 strike eagles and MiGs are on their way to take out any major resistance in the bay. You know our mission, secure the bay!, I dont think there will be much resistance, but, I will say good luck. Jump when the light goes green"

Steiner turns to general,

"I hope the FA-22's have done their job."

"So do I"

The light goes green.

"GO GO GO!"

They jump.

A thousand men hit the ground and immediatly get out thie weapons and set up mortars and M5's (anti tank). They form into thier pre-set groups and move to there objectives. Steiners group get the hardest task, taking out a tank outpost. He and 100 men move out.

" Right, Phil, take your company round to the left and try to block off that exit. I'll take mine this way."

"You- points to a group of ten soldiers, get those H4 mortars firing into the enemy. You- points to another group of ten, Set up your M5's under that shrub there, shoot any armour that comes out. The rest of you follow me!"

They rush towards the wall surrounding the camp. They listen and they can hear engines starting.

"OK men, this is the plan, get out your grenades and prepare to throw them over the wall, then getout your gun and shoot anyone that comes out. Throw your grenades when I say."

They fall silent, they hear mens voices and the rumbling of tanks. Then they hear a loud explosion as Phil's group take out the lead tank coming through the entrance, thereby blocking it.

"NOW"

The men throw the grenades.

Inside the camp there is utter confusion, men are running around trying to work out what was happening. A group try to rush out the unblocked entrance, they are mowed down. A tank driver swings his vehicle around and makes for the exit. As the tank shows itself, 10 high powered anti-tank missiles hit it, ripping it apart. The other entrance is blocked. Men try to clamber over and around the flaming tanks, but they are beaten back. Steiner pulls out a radio and speaks with the commander:

"We need to call an air strike at the tank camp, we have trapped some tanks in there."

" The F16's will be there shortly"

"Steiner out"

The tank drivers are very annoyed that they are trapped by their own defences. The men outside are screaming as they are hit by mortars, they try to hide under the tanks. In a few moments the F16's are seen, they fly low over the tanks and drop phosphorous tank buster bombs and napalm on the trapped men. Steiner addresses his troops again:

"Men, don't go in, the phosphorous will still be burning."

Overall, the paradrop was a success, there were few casualties on either side and the conflict involving Steiner was the largest. The bay was secured and in the alliances hands. The men and vehicles were being loaded off the ships. Artillery and Commanche strikes kept the Cornixpesians at bay. Hopefully the rest of the alliance would arrive soon.

IC: The troops of the FIN and GS loaded of their brand new navy onto the shore, unopposed. Cruise missiles started to bombard the city to the NorthWest. Boris is addressing the General via a radio link:

"Sir, when are the forces of Great Britopia going to arrive?"

"I don't know"

"We need them to help start the attack the city."

"I know, lets hope they arrive soon, you cannot just sit here, the defenders of the fort are bound to notice us."

There is a bigger picture on that site now, it shows outpost etc.
Only about 30 men and 5 tanks died, not much. Also, only 10 AA guns, at max. We will just accept my posts and ignore yours. Why dont you edit it? Get rid of it? Besides, we are not attacking any more until Britopia arrives. GS is here now though.

Why don't we say that I control the bay so we can have somewhere to launch an attack from?

The fort on the pic is only a rough OUTLINE. You decide how the inner bit looks...

Commander Guso looked again through his binoculars at the island that contained the unpenertrable Cornix Fortress. He stood on the AST Venturer. The stealthiest transport ship in all of the Alkos navy. After a few minutes of surveying the island he turned around to face the high officers under his command.

‘OK looks like we’re in this war game.... By the looks of things the party has started without us.’

He turns around and points towards the fort

‘Argh. Those AA-guns are gonna be a pain in the ass...’

Guso refers to the map of the island on the table in front of him. The high officers draw their attention to the map. Around them soldiers are running around on top deck, going about their normal duties. Guso places both his hands on the table with the map on and says,

‘Ok, soon we are to rendezvous with the AST Jato and then move in for the first assault..... By the looks of things, Intelligent Neighbors has already made their first move. We’re gonna need all the men on the ship ready for departure and the ST-11s fuelled and armed. Hopefully, the AST Jato has the reinforcements that I have been hoping for. But due to radio silence we won’t contact until they arrive.’

The men around the table remain all silent and staring either at the map or Guso. There is silence for about twenty seconds until on of the high officers announces.

‘Commander. I can get the ST-11s fully ready for combat in two hours sir.’

Guso replies immediately

‘Brilliant, get down to it, general, ASAP’

The general nods quickly and runs off. As this happens another one of the high officers speaks.

‘Commander. This is good that we’re contending in this assault. Some of the men are becoming restless. I believe some are looking forward to fighting. Sire.’

At this comment the usual coolness that surrounds Guso disappears and a flash of anger is shown on his face. Guso turns around and composes himself. After a short pause he says through gritted teeth,

‘Yes. I believe some of them are’

A tension and unease spread through the remaining officers. After a long pause that seemed to last for hours, Guso then continues and turns around to face his officers.

‘Ok! make sure that everything is prepped and ready for assault in six hours. Also get this ship to the rendezvous point now! I have no wish to spend more time than is needed next to this forsaken island. Get everyone below deck now, We’re going silent..... MOVE!’

All the high officers move and orders are shouted to the men around him. Guso waits until he is the last man on top deck, folds up his map and moves below deck. He steps through into his quarters and lies down on his bed, taking a brake and calming his mind.

‘war. nothing good comes of it...’

he whispers to himself as he stares, transfixed at the ceiling.

"Sir! We have recieved news that Alkos is coming, we need to let them know we are here."

"Good", replies Boris, "Send up a flare, they know what that stands for."

"Yessir" The soldier turn around and leaves. Boris Talks to himself.

"I hope the Britopian forces arrive soon, we need all the men we can get."

OOC:Alkos, what are the ST-11's?

Power and Industry

A large boat loomed in the distance as it peered over the horizon. The snow white hull read Power and Industry. The boat 100 meters in length was the presidential boat., it moored up and the bank next to intelligent neighbours force, denting the beach. A walk way fell from the side of the ship; a short fat man waddled down the ramp and made his way to the main command post of the offensive force.

He introduced him self as the president of Power and Industry and stated that CornixPes business community has insulted Power and Industry. he said that he wishes to humiliate CornixPes and pledged the full economic might of Power and Industry.

He offered them a gift of $20 billion to help break down the walls of FortCornix, use it to fund more troops and planes. But as Power and Industry does not have a military force ( as it would get in the way in his search for profit) he can not get involved, but will stayed moored up on the bank to watch the out come of the fight.

Denied Power and Industry, perhaps you should get a grasp of this game before you shove your No0bish butt in the way of everything. This is just a war simulation - and every member bar you have been INVITED to this simulation. We are all allies here, just battling so we can build up up our Rping skills. As it happens I volunteered to be the one people attack because I'm the strongest (having been around longer). IN can accept your money at his own free will but if he uses it for this game I will refuse to play, we have already decided on what's happening.

On further note, do you mind quoting this "Business Insult" I have supposedly issued to you? I have only ONCE ever spoken to you on this game and all I did was diplomatically defend myself against your accusations that I am a slave trader. I'll have you know IN and I are the founders of a fast growing anti slavery alliance. If you are refering to outside of the game (Which I still don't know what you are talking about, as I haven't insulted you there either) I can combat those accusations with your own little "fun poking" about my Nation name.

Military or dipolatically you won't win, so I suggest you make no further posts on this thread, but you are perfectly obliged to watch.

Joe Apatha, the president of CornixPes stood proudly on the Northen wall. His military generals were either side of him. In the far distance Joe could see the three other walls looming in the thick fog. Below and beyond him stood 7 million soldiers and 2 million drivers and pilots in prefectly disciplined lines. The ranks were perfectly organised in long straight rows, each man saluted with passion set on their faces. The floor could hardly be seen as all the ground appeared to be now was a sea of grey military uniforms. Joe took up his microphone and cleared his throat.

"My forces! My men! My Kin!" He roared. The soldiers each smiled with patriotic joy. "The hour of reckoning has come! We will stand, proud and sturdy until the end... and we will be victorious! We will battle - each and every one of us! Many will die, but we will die with honour not with regret. We shall show them no mercy and they will give none in return! We go to war... not just for ourselves, but for our kin at home - in the dear land of CornixPes! We will not fight for ourselves... we will not fight for each other! We fight for CornixPes! FOR CORNIXPES!"

The crowds roared and cheered so loudly it could have rocked the foundations of the mighty fort around them. Inside each man's heart their own foundations rocked with enthusiasm and hope - they knew they might not come out of this alive - but they would die trying.

"FOR CORNIXPES!" Joe repeated and raised his rifle. Every man who had a weapon raised it in united joy and those who had no weapons raised their fists. "Let these walls stand - hold them up with every ounce of strength you have! TO WAR!"

The men began to dismiss row by row and go to prepare. Joe knew that the first strike had already been hit. He looked to the horizon to see smoke rising from near the bay. He saw dots on the sea. They were coming. But he was not worried. His men would pull through... for death and for glory.

Boris was just sitting down to eat his croissant when he heard a mighty roar, it seemed that the defenders of the fort were psyching themselves up. He smiled, they were foolish. He finished his meal and strode outside. He walked up to the short, fat man on the boat next to the beach and saluted him. Hello Mr President, I think you had better put some ear muffs on, I'm afraid we are going to start firing.

Boris then walked over to where the artillery guns were placed.

"Hello men, I have a task for you. Move position until you can fire into the city and then begin shelling it. Use the Napalm shells. You will have full tank and 'copter support."

He turned and walked away. Behind him the guns started to roll forward. Boris shouted at a passing soldier.

"You! Go to your division and tell them to move onto a ship. Tell the captain I want him to circle the island and wait off shore of the beach on the other side of the city. Make sure you cannot be seen, bring a carrier with you."

Boris walkes back to the beach and strolls up to the naval commander.

"Please can you inform two of the carriers that they should start bombing raids upon the city, now."

Boris walks into his hut. He picks up a mobile phone that is on his desk. He calls the tank commander.

"Cover the artillery guns."

He dials Steiners number.

"Kurt, get over here, pronto."

Boris puts on the earmuffs and their is a sound of artillery going off. He smiled, the city would be reduced to rubble because of his lack of troops. Oh well, he would have another 6000 tanks and another million men tomorrow.
