After months of stalemate in the Ruskkie War (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=112047&highlight=), peace talks have started in the border town of Stormwell (Stommburg to Ruskkies).

The nation of SteamEarth wishes to withdraw its forces caught up in the conflict but demands that Ruskkia also withdraw its forces from SteamEarth territory. The nation of SteamEarth has also stated that it'll continue sending supplies to the rebel commie faction known as the Ruskkie Collective. (Thou the main reason why SteamEarth wishes to end the war could be that Ruskkia has recently tried to join GDODAD).

It has also been stated that hopefully the peace talks will put the matter of the border dispite, which is said to have started the war, to rest.

Delegates from other nations are asked to attend if possible to make sure that the talks are carried out in a diplomatic way.

We are currently awaiting the reply of Ruskkia as to wether or not they'll agree to attend.

OOC: Got to get round to writing up a complete history of the conflict.....

Duke Charles Le Thunder accepts your offer of 'peace talks' mainly to show that Ruskkia can be diplomatic rather than war-mongers.

Delegates, including yours turely, shall arrive by zepplin at the Stommburg airfield. A unit of Ruskkie Death Korp soldiers will serve as my bodyguards for the length of the peace talks.

I shall state my demands on arrival.

Please note it is still incomplete and is from a SteamEarth point of view, plus also it is in order of events which lead up to and happened during the conflict.

We hope peace will prevail between the two nations and conflict will end soon. However we are not impartial and have supported SteamEarth in the past and will continue to do so.
