(OOC: Seeing as the RF war thing ended as expected, I guess I can skip to this now.)

Across the country of Automagfreek, television and radio programs were interrupted. With great haste, the video and audio came up, and the face on the screen was Dreadfire's. He wore his ceremonial plate armor thatcovered his chest, shins, and forearms, and draped over his mighty back was a cape of pure crimson. He spoke, but not in anger....for on this day peace had finally found the Freeks.

Brothers, sisters, people of Automagfreek. It is my greatest honor to announce that the 7th Age of Automagfreek, The Age of Evolution, has ended. With Rayne gone, the Freeks have found the Light once again, and you all can live your daily lives without fear. Automagfreek is in a unique position right now. Most of our hated enemies are now friends, and those that were once friends are finding us again. Because of this my friends, the road to peace has been reached! In the 8th Age, we shall no longer drink of the Waters of War, but instead we will bathe in the Waters of Peace. no more shall blood stain our shores, no more will death claim the Freeks.

Take heart my friends, and enjoy the days to come. And may they be blessed with all the graces of the Gods, for the road ahead is smooth and straight. Enjoy this New Dawn, for you, the people of Automagfreek, deserve it.

The picture faded out slowly with Damien standing proudly before the camera. There was to be much celebration today, for yet another dawn had arisen in the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek.

Edmund/Kungshao watched the screen with an intent concentration. Clad in black, and arms crossed, he shook his head.

"Damien, you are right when you say that peace may finally reign in your land. But there comes a conflict that will leave none unscathed."He thought to himself.


"Are you ready? Will you be?.....I....will come too see you, Damien....But not now.....not right now...."He finished in his head flipping off the screen, and walking out of the room.

Grudges could only be held for so long. After all, despite the fact that world politics very much resembled high school antics, it wasn't, and grudges were a thing of teenagers who had nothing better to do than bad mouth.

And, one couldn't harbor any ill will towards a regional ally.

Of course, the First Speaker was busy with other members of the APTO's leading cadre. So her usually well thought out words of diplomacy were not to be heard. And Minister of State Clark was indisposed of at the moment of anouncement. His recent promotion removing him from the office of public affairs, and puting him at teh head of the MoST.

That left one person.

The new public affairs MoST speaker had this to say.


It is with happines we learn of this new devolpment in the Excesively Armed Empire of Automagfreek. Despite our recent, and seemingly long standing, attitude of disrespect and dislike towards the EAEEAMF, it seems that in new times, new attitudes are needed and desired. After a good time of disrespect, it has been decided that attitudes must change.

In these days, one cannot hold a grudge against any ally, be it regional or idealogical.

So, with this attitude, we welcome the EAEAMF not only to the Allied Powers, but to the new age of peace and prosperity. The First Speaker of the Domain offers her best wishes, and the people of Imitora stand behind the government with its new decision.

We offer a sincere congradulation to the EAEAMF, and welcome them to send a delegate to Domain, and possibly, establishe peaceful and respectfull relations between our two nations.

As Natalya completed a letter to a certain Konrad Althalon, one of her assistants brought her attention to a communique he had just recieved. She took it from him, read it, then crumpled it in one hand and threw it in the waste basket by her desk. She then let out a short snort.
"Traitor," she said to no one in particular, "one day you will regret this insult. The Dominion does not forget."
Natalya was obviously upset. She looked at her assistant.
"Do you have a cigarette?" she asked. He, looking obviously shocked, pulled out his pack of Tumors and handed them to her. Then, to the surprise of all present, she lit one, and took a long drag. Yes, Natalya was quite obviously upset. She rose from her seat and stood infront of the full-spectrum window which adorned her office. She took another long drag, tilted her head, combed her hair back with her free head, and let out a long sigh. "Bloody traitor."

Bump for the night

The secret society of United Communist States of Zvarinograd agents in Automagfreek, only known as the 'Code of Silence', saw the news long before it came to the world. Their homeland was extremely paranoid about every step the government of Automagfreek took, every word they speak, every breath they took. This is the burden of the secret society, since Damien came under the influence of Hell they watched Automagfreek for hours. Hours turned into days, days into weeks, weeks into months and years. Ultimately the society was so focused on Automagfreek that they had forgotten life in their homeland and who they really were behind all those disguises.

What had started as a ragtag group of agents became a massive coalition, having more agents in Automagfreek alone than most intelligence agencies have in the world. With every passing year, the United Communist States of Zvarinograd grew more and more paranoid about Automagfreek, even spending billions of dollars on multiple spy sattelites, ensuring that every square inch of the country was watched.

The question is, why?

Seeing this new age is beginning in the nation of Automagfreek, we are delighted to see that Damien has finally saw the light of peace, and the light of harmony. However, we would like to express our willingness to rebuild our relations with Automagfreek. It is decided that a cold relation between 2 former friendly nations will do no good, as the insults and the hostilities have ended a long time ago. It doesn't make sense for 2 sides still expressing hate when there's not really any reason for it. For that, we would like to propose to have our relations rise from the state of hate.

The Free Republic is more than pleased to hear of Automagfreek's recent transition to a peaceful nation from one of war. For quite some time now, the relations between our two nations had been severed. But now, with the age of peace taking its place, we are obligated to reopen our relations with the Excessively Armed Empire.

Not only do we wish to reopen relations and welcome you to the alliance known to all as APTO, but we also send forth a request of diplomatic presence. We are lodging a request if a New Genoese embassy may be built in ULE City or any other available, suitable location. In exchange for doing so, New Genoa will offer Automagfreek two locations to open an embassy: in the capital city of New Genoa or the soothing city of Southport.

The Imperial Telegraph Coordinator entered the office of Emperor Alexander, with a communiqué in his hand. News was stirring from the country across the great sea: Automagfreek. The telegraph coordinator bowed hastily and offered up the communiqué to the emperor.

"Your Most Imperial Majesty, there is word that peace had reached Automagfreek, due to the stunning victory against Russian Forces."

The emperor took the communiqué and read the message contained within it. It seems that Automagfreek was entering a new age. Magnus Valerius, too, was on the threshold of a new age; no longer was Magnus Valerius in the Age of Isolation, that "splendid isolation" that lasted for far over 100 years. No, Magnus Valerius was fast heading into a new age: The Age of Modernization. No longer cut off from the world, the technologically backwards country now can get foreign services, goods, and even technology.

The Emperor decided to send another message to Damien Dreadfire, in an offering of diplomatic relations.

To Damien Dreadfire, Supreme Dictator of Automagfreek,

It appears that a new age is dawning on your country, as well as mine - our isolation is broken from the world, and we are truly going to enter an age, an Age of Modernization.

I, Emperor of all Valerians, wish to offer a hand of peace and diplomacy, cooperation and harmony. I request from you permission to construct an embassy in your capital city. In peace, our countries, and many other countries around the earth, will grow strong, and cooperation is key. You may establish an embassy in our capital, Valerius Prime, if you desire as well. Bastien's mood lightened considerably when he heard of Damien's announcement, though the reports of flowery praise flooding AMF quickly soured it once again. Quickly he took pen in hand and personally wrote a message to his old friend.

Dreadfire,
All of my people are overjoyed at the recent return to peace in AMF and at the Sentinels victory over the communist forces of Russia. Nothing would have pleased me more than to have taken my Reavers into the heart of the enemy, and aided in your mighty victory. However, treachery at home required I keep my Reavers in Pantera. Though our swords remained sheathed, our souls soared with your pilots, sailed with your ships and bled with your Sentinels, and we never doubted your victory.

Damien, It has been far too long since we sat and had a glass of spirits, or warred upon our enemies alongside one another. In these days of peace it seems as if my life crawls by, agonizingly slow. How I yearn to smash through the battle lines of our foes and to put their nations to the torch together. Though I praise the new era of peace in AMF, I shall always hunger for the screams of my enemies, and the roars of Sentinel and Reaver blending to form the Song.

In closing, my fine friend, I urge you to remain alert. Many will attempt to endear themselves to you now that they think your battle thirst quenched. They will think to rise above themselves, the weak attempting to use the mighty for their own gain. Do not let these craven dogs fool you, my friend, for they are fit only to shine your boots.

Alekzander read over the paper with interest. The office in which he sat was a comfortable setting. A fire burned with a dim intensity against one wall, while on the other large paintings of Emperors long dead –and some recently so- were hanging in a long row.

His father had spoken of Damien Dreadfire often when he was alive. While it had been a mix of compliments and insults throughout the years, it sparked an interest in the young Emperor Traiden. He had already grown tired of the politics associated with being Emperor, and he began to compose his response in an extremely laborious effort. How did my father survive through this? So much bullshit all the time. He sighed for just a moment, eyeing the what he had written.

Dear Mr. Dreadfire,

It’s good to see that an era of peace has finally been ushered into your country. Perhaps this 8th age will…

He shook his head. What am I saying? What do I really mean? I could go on for days like this, talking about his achievements without actually saying anything. What’s the point of lining everything with gold? What’s the point of coming up with interesting ways to say things when in actuality all that needs to be said is, “I’m glad everything is all right in AMF. Hopefully it will stay that way.”

Alek eyed other responses. The only one that caught his eye was the response from Bastien. He knew Bastien said what he meant, and meant what he said. Alek almost wanted to be like Bastien. Almost.

He erased what he had previously written, and after a long pause, he jotted down his final response.
