Freeform RP - as long as you want will be a year, as short as you want will be a year.

Actually...its pretty much just thought that a year is a day. I dont think a population will usually grow by 20-35 million a year. So, the general idea was that a year is a day in Nationstates.

Pretty much the only people who think that are the numberwankers. As was said above, NS time is fluid in regards to RP.

I've always gone with an overall NS year=RL day, with time flow in active RPs determined by how the RP itself plays out.

Only an RL week until my nation's fourth centenial :D

(Well, since May 18th, about eight years have passed in Iansisle, and hundreds of years have passed in other countries. In other words, a year's how long you want it to be. ;))

Well, I guess it is as long as needed, eh? So, just ignore my first post. :)

Only twelve years have passed since Alexander's reign began (since November?) I'm sorry for my vague logic; I should have realized that they are as long as you want them to be.

It depends...

For example...
Sebytania is currently building an Antonov An-225 aircraft. The parts will be made in 6 months (=2 days) and it will be put together in 3 months (=1 day).

But a while ago, Sebytania had an ultimate science research of 30 years in 15 RL minutes...

Im talking scale...Im not a number wanker, so yeah. But as far as the game actually operates, in the sense of answering issues and the population rates. One day is pretty close on a year...even though most nations dont experience population jumps of 5 million per year.

From the day I started all the way to now, several hundred years have passed in my country.
