a pirates life for me
we the crew of the pirate space vessel warblade hereby warn all of nationstates that we have arrived and will plague your space for treasure and technology for as long as we have breath in our lungs, being that we have no centralized home, we can strike from parts of space previously unknown to you, good luck in our future attacks

A warning to the Whoreblade from the defence minister of Joccia
"Whilst we are aware that you have been decent enough to warn us that you may/may not attack us or our neighbours we are of the opinion that you are not very nice people, and almost certainly don't play cricket accpording to the rules. As such I am commanded to inform you that any acts of aggression, or indeed any other naughtiness on your part will be met by our defence volunteers who are well trained in the use of sharp pointy sticks!! We will show you no mercy until you apologise and promise to stop being space pirates and settle down with a proper job and a proper country!"
now now, no need for insult, we will be pirating for some time to come, first stop Xanthalian space, should be plenty of booty
are you serious? that ship isway too much

first stop Xanthalian space, should be plenty of booty
prepare to be assimilated.
Any acts of violence on any allies or any of our controlled terrorories will end up in a act of war..We may be small but we will lay no mercy untill we die it is the way we have been raised...NOTE-Heavy attacks on shiping may lead to war
Defense minister.\-Vladamir Marinov
how would you be going about a war on a single ship which hides from authorities?

We will now outfit all our spceships with MagaDeath Tachyon-Powered Fusion MultiBarrelCannons. Total cost of this project - zero. Reason - We have no spaceships. Good luck hunting non-existant ships.

annoying buzzing noise? hm, a great difference in this site, the older nations think i'm too big and the younger ones think i'm small, interesting

One ship is hardly a threat to the fleet of Terra Alliance. :P

Try something, I DARE YOU.
I've been cordially invited to have pirates invade me and then kick their asses! The WarBlade: You're on! The Xanthalian Armada could use a good fleet excercise, especially after its recent expansion.
not to kick anyones asses, but merely to try and catch us, we'll begin on say, your passenger ship lines, hijack a few of them say, and then well, we'll burn that bridge when we come to it,
Take all you can, Give nothing back!
The WarBlade: Watch your back. The instant you cause trouble your main ship will be attacked by a full assault fleet. Xanthalian detection technology can see through cloaks.
hardly sporting is it? we'll just have to outrun you, there's nary a ship alive as can match the warblade for speed,
OOC: it's the only bloody ship, so far
The WarBlade: Watch your back. The instant you cause trouble your main ship will be attacked by a full assault fleet. Xanthalian detection technology can see through cloaks.
Our pointy sticks will poke through any kind of cloak, even a thick woolen one!!! So you'd better watch out.

We've got a few rockets we could send. You can try to hijack them if you like, we're having enough trouble as it is trying to get the things to go in the right bloody direction. I mean, Mars is a big place right? It can't be that hard to hit.
General Tippermark
The WarBlade: Well, like I said; come at me if you want, but I'm not going to pull punches. I think you'll find that our defenses inside our own territory are more than enough to deal with a pirate nation's attacks. We once were partners with a pirate nation, so we know what you can do. We'll be ready.
if ye've got enough ships to cover yer entire space then,
Of course we don't have thatr many ships. We do have full sensor spread, instantaneous communication technology, and FTL drives that reach five million times the speed of light though. To be honest, our offensive abilities are substandard. Our defense though is excellent. Come on at me, I won't destroy your main ship; I promise. Just don't expect to get in more than one or two successful raids before the Armada opens up on you though.
well, while we've been having our little chat i've blithely crossed your space, not done anything mind you, just crossed it
You can't claim to have taken an action like that IC unless you've roleplayed doing it.
does every nation rp every shipping action that goes on by their ships?nar
They do when their ship is full of pirates and it's going through another nation's territory. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, it's just bad practice.
yar, but bad practice is more or less what a pirate's about isn't it?
I suppose. But never confuse IC with OOC. Anyway, I'm not going to comment anymore. If you want to RP then go ahead and do so. I'll post a response soon.

yar, but bad practice is more or less what a pirate's about isn't it?
Saying "Yar" at the beginning of every thread doesn't make you a pirate. or scary. most pirates never said Yar. it's just a steriotypical view.
yar, yar
IC: Captain Marcus sat on his comfortable command chair on The WarBlade, peering casually out of the view screen " Any sign of some good hunting?" he inquired only half interested in the response
" Yes sir, we have a small freighter coming in at mark 570, appears to be Xanthalian, now getting a makeout of the cargo, looks like a small weapons shipment to an outlying colony, should we proceed?" the sensor man responded, Marcus looked at the sensorman " You take yourself to seriously johnson, yes we shall proceed, set intercept, arm all weapons and prepare to drop the cloak!"

Camel class (light cargo transport): $50,000,000
The Camel class is designed to carry small to medium loads of cargo. Its interior is almost entirely cargo space, with only a small forward section holding the ship's systems. It is lightly armed to deter pirates.

OOC: Xanthalians do not send weapons shipments anywhere without an armed escort. We've had a hell of a time with pirates lately, in more ways than one.
IC: The Xanthalian Camel class cargo transport continues on through space at a leisurely FTL speed of 100 c. It is filled with a cargo of fish imported from Kecha and microchips. Both are on their way to the transport's destination of Than VI. The transport, unequipped to detect cloaked vessels, is oblivious to the danger posed by the pirate ship.
OOC: Kendaryn territory is not so well defended....
If you decide Xanthal is to dangerous, you can go there. Be prepared to face a combination of technology and magic if you do, though.

we the crew of the pirate space vessel warblade hereby warn all of nationstates that we have arrived and will plague your space for treasure and technology...Captain: Marcus Tenalius
With one ship, perhaps you had better avoid the coastal waters between Penzance and Ad Dakhla. You have obviously been drinking water from a spring inhabited by an evil genie, so we will take your hollow threat as the idle ravings of a simpleton with kif-induced delusions of grandeur.
Frederick Ibn Ruddygore, Commander of the Cornish Fleet
Capt. Marcus looked at the ship intently for a moment then turned to his weapons officer "Mr. Smith, how long would it take to disable the weapons emplacements on yonder prey with out ion cannons?" he asked assuming the grand voice which he always used with his crew, Smith looked upat the vessel and then back down at his screen " Best guess, 45 seconds, Captain." he replied, Marcus looked back at the small ship, putting along without a care in the world, " Very well mr smith, drop the cloak and disable the vessel as quick as can be!"
The decloaking ship is ignored by the pilot AI for the moment. It specializes in flight, not tactics.
The WarBlade begins firing with ion cannons on the gargo vessel, after a heavy barrage the ship begins to slow
The cargo vessel is completely disabled after only a few blasts, but not before the AI sends out a distress signal. The ship begins to lose its slipstream anchor and emerges back into normal space at 0.01 SL. The pirates will have to move quickly, reinforcements will be on the scene within minutes.
Pirates board the ship quickly killing any of the crew they deem unworthy there are only two survivors (Xathal's choice) they laod the cargo with a kind of brute efficiency and move off the ship, long range sensors pick up fast moving response attackers, The WarBlade opens fire with it's main cannons and destroys the erstwhile freighter, then disappears into hyperspace...
OOC: As shown in the specifications I posted, this ship has no human crew. By destroying the freighter you "killed" its only crewmember, the onboard artificial intelligence.
IC: The ships sent to investigate find only the rubble of the cargo ship. Analysis indicates that most of the cargo is missing, and an APB is sent out across Xanthalian space warning crews of ships and stations to be on the lookout. One more strike from the pirates would nail them down, then it was only a matter of time before they could be driven from Xanthalian space with the sheer power of the Armada.
OOC: sorry
IC: "fish and chips? are you serious? we hijacked fish and chips?" asked Capt Marcus incredulously,
" Microchips sir, could be good in the computer core, what say i have a look eh?" asked mr connors, the computer officer
" Very well mr. connors, have a look and see if there's anything good or worth sellin"
The Imperial Navy
09-02-2004, 17:39
After hearing the APB, all convoys are now escorted by 2 G'rnack heavy cruisers when they pass through Xanthalian space. The Emperor has assured that no Pirates will be bothering us today...
or so ye might think, probably correctly, but still...
The Xanthalian Armada dispatches fleets of specially-equipped slipfighters to scan in and around cargo lanes for the pirate ship. Armada starships are put on deployment alert to maximize response time. Last time it was only fish and computer microchips, but next time it might be something more valuable. They would be ready.
Capt. Marcus sat smugly in his chair, looking out at the space he had so rudely entered, he looked at the scan screen and saw all the little fighters out searching for him, he laughed malevolently
" Smitty! check around and see if there's any more that we could be appropriating, i feel a bit restless."
Armada command got an affirmative quickly. "This is slipfighter search group four-niner. We've got a contact, large cloaked vessel of unknown origin. Well armed. Engine signature matches that found at the scene of the cargo transport incident. Firing markers. Will keep in range if at all possible."
The slipfighter group closes in quickly on the pirate ship and each one of the three fires a sensor marker. One misses, but the others hit, and latch firmly onto the ship's hull. They cause no damage, but the pirate vessel is now lit up like a christmas tree for the sensors of the Xanthalian Armada and everyone else. Warships are dispatched. The pirates have less than a minute to act before the first Armada starships arrive.

With your permission Xanthal we can Hyperspace in an Interdictor cruiser. these have the ability to generate a gravity well, disabling the pirates Hyperspace engines. give us the word if needed.
Capt. Marcus looked at his weapons officer,
" Mr. smith, in your estimation could we take the closest group of ships coming towards us?" he asked gazing out at the slipfighters
" probably not sir, one maybe two yeah, but not that many." replied mr smith
" Very well then, set course and take us just outside of Xanthalian space, and we'll remove those damned... things"
OOC: I would surrender in your place. That way at least you'll survive to steal another day. Your people will be imprisoned for five years and then have their vessel returned and be released with an order not to return to Xanthalian space. You can fight if you want, but you can't face the fleet before you and we've basically cut off your ability to run. If you want to keep playing as this vessel and/or crew, surrender would be best. Unless, of course, you've got a trick up your sleeve. Just be careful, if you try anything and it doesn't work, the Armada isn't going to ask you again.
IC: Announcement to the international community on an open channel:
"In the intrest of maintaining interstellar law let it be known that we, the Xanthalian Armada, are engaging a pirate vessel in international space in sector 3114. Ships not wishing to get cought in the cross fire should avoid that sector and the sectors around it for the time being. This action is being taken after an attack by said vessel on a Xanthalian freighter."
The Xanthalian fleet outruns the pirate vessel to the border and deploys GMS gravity wells directly in the path of the oncoming ship, forcing it out of hyperspace. Four Dreadnaughts take up formation, blocking any possible exit back into hyperspace for their nemesis. Then the cavalry arrives.
Xanthalian ships present:
15 Sabre class
8 Dreadnaught class
3 Super Dreadnaught class
1 Eclipse class
The Eclipse class vessel targets its entire forward weapons array on the pirate vessel. "Attention unidentified vessel! Drop your cloak and offensive and defensive systems now, in the name of the Xanthalian Armada! Cooperate and you will be placed under arrest, resist and you will be destroyed! You have ten seconds to comply!"
Sabre class (light tactical): $100,000,000,000
The Sabre class is designed to pack a strong punch in a small package. The Sabre class has only a few torpedo tubes due to space constraints; but it has many phaser and disrupter banks. Its shields are of mediocre quality, so the Sabre class cannot withstand a sustained assault. It uses great speed and maneuverability coupled with its small size to dodge attacks while firing its powerful weapons. An unimpressive warship on its own, the Sabre class can do enormous damage when in fleets.

Despite its large size, the Dreadnaught is still highly maneuverable. It is protected by double shields and strong armor. A match for almost any opponent, the Dreadnaught class can even do significant damage to a capital ship or starbase on its own.

Eclipse class (ultra-heavy tactical): $10,000,000,000,000
The Eclipse class is based off of the Imperial Star Destroyer class of the same name. It is massive, bigger than most starbases, but still relatively mobile. It's assault weapon power is unmatched, and it can take on most super-capital ships easily. It's size means that it is vulnerable to large numbers of smaller warships, so it is always escorted by other Xanthalian vessels. Adequately supported it can defeat entire fleets of enemy warships. Used mostly as a weapon of intimidation by the Armada.

OOC: are you trying to sell those ships? and maybe i do, hold on i've got to pull something out of my ass here
IC:Capt. Marcus looked before him at the fleet assembling
" that's not good at all, mr jones, prepare the ship for an enlongated stretch in hyperspace, we'll exit into the other dimension and wait them out, even time passes faster there!"
OOC: right out of my ass
OOC: Well, assuming that somehow you find a way to get to hyperspace since we're blocking your ability to get there at the moment, that would work. The Xanthalians wouldn't bother waiting for you outside of their space. They'd leave, and you could slip away. If you ever came back though, they'd destroy hyperspace completely in the sector you were hiding. They have the ability, and they'll use if if someone pisses them off enough.
OOC:haven't pissed you off enough to screw around with trade that much have i?
IC: "Capt Marcus, they're jamming hyperspace!" shouted jones
"well, open a transdimensional portal and hop into the nearest one!" replied the captain

I have to go now. we'll continue this later. But for now, get out of my conduits. you can either face destruction from me, or destruction from the people you attacked. and never enter the conduits again.
or i'll do as i like because i'm a bloody pirate!
The Xanthalian fleet, left behind unable to enter the conduits, disperses. They knew who the pirates were now... If they ever came back they would never survive to tell the tale.
