The entire Forum, the ancient center of the Aerion capital center of Astevane, had been decorated. The dominating fascist government known as the Prelacy, under the High Prelate, was allowing the Crown be once again returned but the King would only be ceremonial. Thousands of people packed the Central Forum, even the black uniformed party members of the dominating New Aerion Order. It was night time, so five spotlights shown in the air, and fireworks were going off all across the city. The Royal Guard, an actual elite regiment of the New Aerion Order Guardians, the fascist party's militant arm held the people back to form a long part through the people from one side of the forum at the Ar of Justice to the National Cathedral. The gigantic Arc was illuminated, the arch which the King would pass under in his procession. As the open aired carriage came under the arc, the crowds begin cheering. In front of the carriage rode three black robed priests of the Imperial Cult, the now out of power group that had been in power during the Divine Emperor's reign but were now only used as a propaganda tool by the Prelacy. Behind the King rode cavalary upon horses, the ceremonial cavalary of the Royal Guard. They were beautiful white uniforms, with silver helmets with white plums, and black boots. Behind them were more horses carrying officers of the New Aerion Order Guardians, and then came the black limousines. One limousine carried the High Prelate, and some of the Prelates of the Prelacy. The limousine behind that carried further Prelates. The two black limousines following that were reserved for the Chief Minister, and the Council of Ministers. The procession passed through the Forum, as the people cheered. It pulled through, stopping in front of the National Cathedral where there was a gigantic statue of the now departed Divine Emperor. No longer were any of the religions were officially acknowledged in Aerion other than the religion of the Divine Emperor, as the state religion.
The King stepped out of the carriage in front of the National Cathedral, and the limousine doors opened to allow the other dignitaries out. The priests of the Imperial Cult came first, leading the King up the steps, with the High Prelate behind the King, and the Prelates of the Prelacy. Behind them was the Chief Minister, and the Ministers if they themselves were not Prelates. They stepped into the National Cathedral, where hundreds of dignitaries already waited. All sitting in the various pews, the front pews awaiting the most high dignitaries. The Chief Elder of the Imperial Cult stood before the altar, and other elders stood to each side. The original crown had been found, which would be placed atop the head of the King. It was held by one of the elders upon a purple pillow. Two acolytes held the purple velvet mantle (robe) with ermine lining. Another elder held the Sceptre upon a purple pillow, and another the Orb. As the King was led up the aisle, all eyes were upon him. He stepped up the steps to the dais upon which was the altar. Kneeling before the altar, he lowered his head. The Chief Elder said a blessing in some strange tongue, holding his hand over the King as he passed it back and forth. The King stood, and the mantle was placed over his shoulders. He then sat in the throne, and the orb was placed in his left hand. Then the sceptre in his right. Finally the time came. The crowds grew silent, as the Chief Elder held the Crown of Aerion over the head of the King. He slowly lowered it, and placed it upon the King's head. All were silent for a few moments, and then the crowds outside cheered loudly as the King rose...walking down the aisle..
King Wasterin VII was crowned Cermeonial King of Aerion, but the Prelacy still had the power. In the name of the Divine Emperor they used for propaganda, and the New Aerion Order's fascist ideology.
