Iesus Christi; Wombat News
The proponents of civil liberties in Iesus Christi are furious after the local state-funded university removed a torture and execution course from their curriculum with immediate effect.
The decision to drop the course was due to allegations that the class teacher Rudi Ments refused to set fire to an heretic in front of some members of the class whilst on a field trip to the cathedral of the Blessed Adolf and, at a later date, refused to participate in a stoning at a party hosted by one of the students of the class.
A university spokesperson, Mathew Nutta, was quoted as saying that “this is not an attack on the students’ civil liberties. It is simply that the university can’t condone this sort of activity by a teacher of a course conducted by the university”.
Hermann Dogooder, president of the Iesus Christi Civil Liberties Union, was quoted as saying that the reputation of Iesus Christians as being free, easy-going and loving people has been put on the line by such an extremist attitude and that he would seek legal advice as to how to proceed against the university to reinstate the course and remove Mr Ments.
Joseph, who was tying cats’ tails together outside a local café, agreed with Hermann that the course should be reinstated as he was really scoring well. The foreign students’ admission centre was equally dismayed saying that full fee paying students from other Reich countries showed a particular interest in the university because of the course, and to remove the course from the curriculum was a disgrace and an insult to the generous and freedom-loving people of Iesus Christi.
Meanwhile, Rudi Ments was very relaxed about the whole affair saying that the time off gave him time to concentrate on his flower arranging, and that everyone should just “chill out and love one another, like the big man from the Bible says, man”.
