After a long time in office, the beloved Michaswai Laskin has decided not to run for reelection. He will remain a voice of guidance and wisdom for Trinis. Here the candidates:
Michael Gillhart:A politician with experiance, Gillhart served in the Senate for two terms, where he initiated the Immigration Act, allowing more refugees in to the country, and the Eduaction Reform Act, which increased funding for education and school consueling programs. He campaigns to keep the current level of welfare,healthcare, and education, but wishes to lower the high income tax rate a bit.
Bishop Casimir Chechovich:A bishop in the Catholic Church, Chechovich wishes top bring about moral reform to Trinis, putting ethics and family on a higher level and banning abortion, and othersuch practices.
Charles Norris:A representative for six years, Norris wishes to decrease spending on social programs a bit, introudce more lax taxlaws, and make Trinis's small but healthy industries larger. He also wants to give a higher funding to the some areas that are slightly neglected by the rather liberal government.
