We interrupt with an urgent update. We are live at the Great Hall where Damien is about to give a speach.

Damien was already standing at the podium as teh camera faded in. He had no paper nor prompter with him, and as the camera light came on, he spoke.

Almighty Freeks, friends, people of the world.

Today marks the end of the 7th Age of Automagfreek (The Age of Evolution, Rayne's Age) and the beginning of the 8th Age. Much has changed, and much more will be changed. I will not carry on with sweet words and half truths. Automagfreek is leaving GDODAD effective immediatly. While we certainly mean the GDODAD nor it's members harm in any way, we feel that we are slightly out of place in such a world. GDODAD nations have shown us kindness unlike any other, and for that I'm eternally gratefull and so are the Freeks. We hope to remain in contact with you all, and do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

In a world of right and wrong, we the peoples of Automagfreek now stand alone, caught in the middle. For better or worse this is the path that has been chosen, and we are destined to walk it until such time that road splits. There is too much going on in this world, and I'm afraid that Automagfreek will be lost in time if we stay on our current path. We are the whisper in the wind and the shadow on the wall my friends, nothing more.

Damien drew a deep breath and spoke the words that refused to leave his head.

I am the beast I never knew, I am the whore in the darkness, I am the scared child cowering in the corner, I am the disposable hero.....

He paused, then spoke his last words to the camera.

*Following the anouncement of AMF leaving the GDODAD, Prince Rufus Mew announces that the Friendship Treaty with the GDODAD had been voided. Since all of Krowemoh will be leaving Earth in less then a week, he will not accept applications to renew the Treaty from the GDODAD. However, the Peace Treaty with AMF still stands, Prince Rufus Mew made that much clear.*

We will join no such alliance mere hours after pulling out of one of the largest on the planet. Our actions were neither for you nor the "independant nations of the world", but for ourselves. I find it amusing how scorn can instantly turn to praise, how hatred can turn to friendship. Hypocrites, every last one of you!

The Freeks of AMF will not join any alliance nor resume political status with anybody, for we know where we truely stand. We will no longer play the disposable hero for the Light, never again. We are not a tool to be used for other's agendas. We will not be used or abused anymore.

"Though we have had no ties with AMF or DGODAD, we are very pleased to see that such a great nation such as AMF will stand up for its self and declare independents when it feels the need to.

"We would also like to make as offer of peace, prosparity, and friendship between our two nations, as a token of our gratitude for your move.

"It appears as if our psychologist's report was quite inaccurate. The leader of AMF is quite unstable, and efforts to bolster our League were wasted. In fact, our olive-branch request may now seem to the eyes of the world as an attempt to "use" AMF. I do not like this at all."

The Director of Esamopian Command (OOC: Sort of like an FBI/CIA combination) was quite composed, his face plane, and neatly dressed in formal clothing, although this hardly gave anyone a hint, as his voice was rarely raised and his form was always calm, even in moments or terrible vexation.

"Yes, sir. It appears that he is more unstable and quick to taking offense than we thought. It seems as if Sandra O'Connor... and her million blood-liter (OOC: Esamopian currency, equivalent to $1.33 USD) report has failed us. I apologize sir, this project was under my direction. I am prepared to resign."

The Deputy Director in charge of Psychology Evaluations was noticeably annoyed about this failure, he barely stood straight and his head was lowered in deference to his superior (but in his shame of defeat as well.) He was prepared for anything.

"No... I do not think it will be necessary, we relied too much on her report. Bring Sandra in."

"Yes, sir."

Sandra entered the room, knowing that her career was over and knowing further that her very life was in jeopardy. Faliure is not taken kindly in Esamopia, and the Director of Esamopian Command was one of the toughest bosses.

"Sandra, you are fired. I should have you executed for this, but we can hardly do this without incurring further embarassment. You are hereby demoted to Psychologist, Seventh Class, and will shortly be assigned to a random High School for your new occupation as "Assistant School Psychologist." Your government priviliges are hereby revoked... which means that you are now tresspassing in my office. See to it that you are out of my site, IMMEDIATELY."

Allow me to make a statement.

Damien is very conflicted right now for many reasons. I tend to be more open minded about things, but he does have a point. Before the days of GDODAD, AMF was praised and loved by many. Then one day that changed, and love turned to hate and scorn. Now, Damien decides to leave GDODAD, now here comes the love and praise again. Now, this does indeed sound strange to me as well.

I'm not bashing any of you, but I think that there have been wounds inflicted that may not heal for a long time. I think our nation needs some R&R right now.

As the transmission began, he clapped and chuckled. "Wow, Damien. I never saw that coming! Gee, that totally came out of left field now didn't it? All you goddamn halfwaits are the same. So pitifully predictable that it makes me wretch."

He slid back in his seat, and folded his arms behind his head, revealing intricate, colorful tattooes up and around his arms and shoulders. A glint of light could be seen from the reflection of what appeared to be a stud in his lip. "Tell me, Damien. What rational part of your brain thinks its a good idea to charge into our halls, slander our alliance, and offer a hand of friendship--after a mysterious change of heart-- when you knew ultimately that you'd do something like this? We knew the second you showed up in Ali'Staan that You were gonna leave the GDODAD. Why do you think Lord Alkanphel didn't take you seriously?"

He snorted again, and spit in contempt. "Tell me then, Mr. Dreadfire, does this severing includes your 'hand of friendship' to us? If it does, than your honor has been stained beyond repair."

He paused. The iron scowl in his face faded as he processed his last sentance. He bit his lip. "You know what... I don't think your honor is in much danger of getting worse, so I guess this is just a drop in the bucket."

It is a shame that you should leave GDODAD just as we seriously consider joining it, but we have little or no bearing on the course of your nation. As always, Mr. Dreadfire, you are only doing what you see is best for your nation, your people, and yourself, and we see no problems with you doing so. You have had a good run with GDODAD, that is sure, and it certainly wouldn't have gotten to where it is now without the effort of dedicated nations like yours. I must admit, even my head is spinning. But I will say this though, Damien is a very proud man, and he would die to maintain his dignity and honor. He did not speak to me about this before, so even I'm not sure what's up. But if Damien made that call it must be for a good reason, he has not lead us astray yet as a people.

Like Hartman said, I don't think now is a good time to start bombarding him with requests and whatnot. I'll log all requests made, and hopefully we'll get back to you. I think Damien is trying not to step on GDODAD toes right now, he does not want to lose any more friends. I know he is a bit pig headed when it comes to reopening relations, but it does seem like opportunism wether you all see it or not. Just my observation.

We of Sketch finds this turn of events to be quite......interesting. With the nation of AMF formally withdrawn from GDODAD, it is no longer necessary to maintain cordial relations with the organization. However, since AMF is out of the picture, it appears that we can no longer depend on the stabilizing effect of Damien's guiding hand on their direction. While Sketch respects the independent decision of AMF to withdraw from GDODAD, we cannot hope but wonder - why now? It is apparent that Damien seeks to guide his peoples down a new path. Seriously now, I think all your whining is beginning to sound like nails on a chalkboard. Do you think he does these things lightly? Do you think Damien left the GDODAD in a wonton manner? If you do then you don't know Damien as well as you may think; certainly not well enough. Just accept this for what it is: there was a shift in power (from Rayne to Damien) and so political actions taken by Rayne may not be honored by Damien. OOC: Groping for attention? HELL NO. I'm perfectly satisfied with the twists and turns my nation is taking, and so do my fans.
