The future King slinked his way along the assembly line. Various assembly robots placed precise welds and fixings about his chasis, and sparks flew as imperfections were grount out of his body. Further down the line, his head was screwed into place. He was rolled through the cleaning stages, and finally reached the end of the line, where the finishing touch was added. An engraving laser on the end of a long robotic arm decended from the ceiling and etched at the rear of his head, near the base:

At the palace, the reigning King awaited his dethroning. He stood, dignified, in a balcony overlooking a mass of spectators. The ceremony was bittersweet. The end of a long, prosperous rule, and the beginning of a new. He looked over his citizens, taking in the true splender of his seat of power.
The crowd began to cheer wildly as a motorcade made its way to the base of the palace. The hovercars reached the entrace, and armed guards jumped out of four of the vehicles. A golden, coffin-like case emerged from the back of a hovertruck, and was ceremonially carried up the stairs leading to the palace entrace. After it made its way in, the palace doors were closed, and there was a solemn silence for a few moments.
The case appeared at the balcony, and the crowd began to murmur amongst themselves. Slowly, the officials on the balcony opened the case, and inside was an almost exact replicant of King Bender. The only thing differentiating the two were nine zeroes and a revised operating system. King Bender examined his replacement, and nodded. He turned to face the croud, and silenced them with a wave of his arm.
"Commemini tum progressio!" he shouted.
He placed his arms at his side, and awaited his fate. An assistant approached the rear of King Bender, pulled out a device, and embedded it in the base of his neck. King Bender slowly slumped over, and his eyes ceased to glow. A curcuit board was removed from his head, and placed inside the new King. King Bender v1.0 was removed from the balcony, and King Bender v2.0 was brought to life. He approached the edge of the balcony and addressed his citizens.
"Citizens of Benderland, all hail your new King!"

King Bender v2.0 sends an open invitation to all national leaders to attend a post-ceremony banquet to discuss changes in Benderland's policies and possible alliances among participating nations.
