If a war happened between GDODAD,Arada, Reich against the enemy, which side would you join? This is pure Occ: to satisfy my curiosity.

The Underground City would stay neutral, which they would probably appreciate seeing as it is a fantasy-based nation.

That's... a hard question. One that I'd have to think about before I could answer.

To make it, I'd have to know:

Who would the enemy be?
What would the reasoning be?
What type of international reaction would there be?

I have very old ties to the GDODAD, being a retired member and still politicly neutral or semi-allied with the original nations, strongest with the Ex-COMA and Ex-Midnight nations.

Then again... My nation has changed radicaly. My emperor is a half-elf. My citizens have more civil rights than they know what to do with. The Reich and I have had... unpleasent dealings throughout my time here. Arda just seems to damn evil for it's own good, if you excuse the pun.

Four months ago? I'd be on board with the GDODAD, Arda and Reich without question. Now? I seriously don't know.

For some reason, that makes me nervous.

Nanakaland used to be a supporter of the GDODAD, so we'd probably support the GDODAD unless the war was against one of my allies and/or against Russian Forces (who invaded me in WWIV or WWV for supporting the GDODAD).

Unless you could somehow make it so that being allied with Arda (My most likely one of the three) I'd probably be neutral...or even against.

well the choice would be a hard one to make having several factors to deal with.

1) weahter or not I had a fleet up and ready for combat

2) the reasonning behind the attacking side

3) my relations with one or more or the nations on either side (currently none on either)

given those factors to list a few, if it came do to a no decision I'd just flip a coin

If it was SATO/Triumverate, I think that SATO/Triumverate forces would manage an-undecicive victory. Both sides would lose LOTS of troops. Many SATO nations would be crippled, and Menelmacar might even end up being nuked. (OOC: This is from a program a friend of mine made, it is a simulator, using the base code that the US forces used to create all of the Cold War simulations, we just reprogramed it to use space ships and the like. And no, you can't have it :P We got it after the US army declasified the OLD computer programs)

I'd take all my citizens on my Earth nation and put them in a Nuke/Godmod shelter. I'd then take my spacefleet and bombard both sides.

I'm not in SATO neither in the Triumvirate, but I'm almost sure that the enemies of GDOAD, the Reich and ARDA include all elvenkind.

Being an elven country, of course we'll fight them, probably to stand side by side with Menelmacar, our more steadfast and trustful ally.

OOC: Don't take this the wrong way G2, but these kind of polls soliciting "OOC" knowledge almost invarialby are used in the IC realm. I'm not saying you will, but others viewing this poll certainly might.

OOC: If it was Arda, the Reich, and GDODAD agianst SATO and Yut I say let them rip each other apart, Istar isn't locacted in the earth system and it would declare neutrality and once the major powers had wiped each other apart Istar would have an open field to claim total power over the rest of the universe!

I would probably be on the side of the GDODAD, Reich, and Arda because even if I don't get into GDODAD I would stilll want to fight on their side.

Well I'm already facing off the Reich, so I'd be on 'the enemy' side. Ie. against GDODAD and ARDA as well.

I would be on the GDODAD/Arda/Reich side (since Im in GDODAD allready :P)

Though, who would win? Well.. only the future can tell that.

I would gladley die in a battle beside Comrade Brethren Russian Forces, and, of course, by the Allied Socialist Defense Union. Even if I die in battle, I would die doing as much damage as possible before I would be killed, ensuring my nations survival.

I think an anonymous IC poll about who actually dares to take it's nation to a devastating war - something dictators have much less trouble with - would be better. You know my allegiance though :twisted:

OOC: Yeah, I've been away for a while. I lost interest somewhat, but always maintained my nation and lurked a bit on the General forum. I read through all 13 pages of the Mammoth pact :)

I would glady excercise revenge upon Russian Forces, the nation that invaded me for a reason that wasn't even true. A couple of nukes launched from a sattellite would neutralize his major cities. However, as sweet as revenge may be, I would be violating the rules of an alliance I founded if I were to invade Russian Forces simply for revenge. That is why I'd stay neutral if Russian Forces were involved.

Nod is back! He's one of the greatest RPers of all time (or as I remembered as of five months ago). Welcome back. Now I'd gladly fight on the side of the GDODAD. However, I'd have to run things like war through the Legion of Defence, an alliance I founded.

I was origionally founded in March.

Good question, but 'the enemy' is just too vague. What if 'the enemy' was an alliance the likes of which NS had never seen before? What if the enemy was a coalition of n00bs with rocks and sticks?

I have many friends in the three alliances in question, but I have many outside as well, so I'll have to side with the 'undecided' on this one.

But I would probably side with the underdogs, just to stick it to everyone on the winning side. ;)

This thread is getting Irrelevant, since we don't know the opponents and since there aren't any vigorous alliances left to oppose us. With some luck some players may found new alliances that can stand up to this alliance. But at the moment I can't see any. I hope some nations with good Roleplayers will try to found a new vital opposing alliance since an alliance like this always needs enemies to stay alive and well. It is also good to see old players like NOD and Danneland coming back and thus bringing the bets that were made on the Death of GDODAD to an end :wink:

A bloody stalemate, no doubt, likely ending in the obliteration of large parts of GDODAD and the Reich, and a couple similarly-sized alliances on the other side.

Hard to say, Tersanctus has made some strange bedfellows.

Pantera and AMF are allies, and Edmund likes to keep it that way.

But than again, Menelmacar is on the Leadership Council of the United Emirates, and Edmund would never betray the UE, or Drakonia. And IC Melkor and and Edmund dont seem too like each other too much.

So I guess, any stance would be against Arda, and unless Pantera and AMF were with Arda, Tersanctus would go all out...the Kungshaoist Templar have a bad history with genocidal traits....slaughtering Golan Tribesman and Christians when they burned down a Temple. :shock:

As an ACA member, Justitium would certainly oppose GDODAD, Triumvirate, or Reich, but we would never take the position of aggressor, and I think that would be the case with the entire Alliance and CACE (except those crazy pacifists).
