To all Nationstates, it is a sad day today, amid the happiness of the liberation of Coreworlds from an evil dictator. Our great Jedi Master has fallen in battle against the dictator, and a nationwide funeral has been planned to pay our last repects to him. We invite all nations involved in the war, or even spectators to send delegates to pay their respects as well. The President will be telling the story -to a worldwide audience- of how his grandfather came to Earth, and this nation, and helped set up a Jedi Academy in the nation. Select other officials can, and will be speaking after the story ends.

[Speech by Chancellor Keiji of The United Socialist States of -Noir-]

We of the The United Socialist States of -Noir- express their deepest sympathies to the death of this great man. We have personnally seen the death of this great man during his final duel against CoreWorlds.

We offer 1,000,00 lbs of our high-quality weapons-grade uranium as a gift to the family of Master Masaki.

I, myself, will personally attend the funeral of this great man.

Not really. It was a civil war, so I got to make the rules (no ignoring Jedi or you're out). Besides people should know better that Jedi have one main weakness: overwhelming firepower. Even a Master would be hard-pressed to deflect bullets from several M-16s or even AK-47s.

The funeral is to consist of a story by the President, the story of Master Yosho's life after the Empire began to take control. After that, chosen delegates may speak on behalf of their nations about the Jedi. and last comes the funeral pyre, and the burial of the ashes. Finally, will be a state dinner with all the delegates of nations that attend.

Delegates:
From the United States of America, will be Secretary of State Colin Powell.
From the United States of the Fedral Union will be President Robert Bastidas.
From the United Socialist States of -Noir- will be Chancellor Keiji
From the Armed Republic of Corneliu will be President Jonathan Featherston
From the Community of Konohagekure Village will be Hokage Naruto Uzumaki
From the Empire of NeoTokyo II will be Emperor Akira Kamata

Not a memorial the way you normally think of it. Just a simple hologram of the Jedi and an eulogy etched on a stone next to it. Nothing fancy.

Meanwhile, the Premier of Bermuda, Alex Scott, has also indicated that he will attend the funeral.

Some time later, an X-wing and a transport called the Rock Dragon made their way off Yavin IV and jumped to hyperspace. A certain YT-1300 also lifted off from Coruscant and sped for Earth. It won't be long.

As the new delegates piled out of their spacecraft and into a waiting limo, hundreds of people have already started turning up at the Academy grounds, as the actual funeral has started. I decided to scrap the story, because I knew it would be too long. Instead, I'll make a speech. Not from a piece of paper, but from the heart. No better way than to keep the memory of Grandpa alive than a stirring speech from the heart.

"Are you all right?" Bryan asked.
"Yeah." I said. "I guess. I have to do this."
"Okay. Go for it!"

Rob : looked around confuseingly and nervously wondering if any thing bad will happen like an attempted assnation ...

It was a dark, gloomy evening with an air of melancholy. Hundred turned into thousands, citizens who have come out to pay their last respects to a man who fought and died to secure the freedom of the people of Coreworlds. Not just an ordinary man. A Jedi Master, someone who have had a long life of serving the Light.

I walked up to the podium. Silence covered the grounds like a blanket. The women wept, and the men were grim-faced. I swallowed tears threatening to well up, and composed myself.

"Greetings. We have all gathered here to pay our last respects to a person whom many have called Master. Who has time, and time again survived many dangers and tribulations to keep the peace in the world. My grandfather, Yosho Masaki gave his life, to defeat an evil man that is the reincarnation of many evil men."

Then my voice became clearer, and strong. "Many of us ask why he had to die so that others may live. Many of us wish that he could be with us today, or reincarnated or something. But, you know what? There is no higher sacrifice, no higher price to stop evil in it's tracks, and defeat it, no matter what!”

I momentarily looked at Master Skywalker, who gave a nod of encouragement.

“Master Yosho was not the first, nor will he be the last, to give himself up for the Light to shine. But we do miss him. I know that. We all miss him. So we do not, will not, and must not ever forget him and why he had to go. Were it not for him, none of us would be here, and that is the truth. Now I would like for all of you to give a moment of silence as our Master’s pyre lights.”

The pyre is lit with a fast-consuming fire. As it is lit, two pieces of music play:
The Anthem, in solemn format (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/EpochEnd.mid) and Taps (http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/midi/taps.mid).

At the same time, the Jedi stand up. Without a word, we line up in front of the burning pyre and in one collective movement, ignite all our lightsabers, and salute. The pyre is fully consumed.

The Corneliuan Military commanders that were presented presented arms when the pyre was lit.

President Featherston and Family continued to stand as the anthem and taps where played. The females of the family began to sob though they had never met him. President Featherston said a silent prayer for the fallen Jedi Master.

President Featherston walked to a podium and said "Though he gave his life to defend this beloved nation, he will always live on. He will love on in our memories, he will live on in those that knew him, and history will remember him for what he did here. His students will remember him for what they were taught by him. Though he may be gone in the physical world, he has become one with the Force. But he won't be gone in our thoughts. Everything that he stood for and taught, will live on for all eternity. I pray for his family and I pray for his students who will grieve over his loss. We also pray for this beloved nation that has lost a true hero. Though there were many heros in the soldiers that fought for liberation, Master Yosho is a true hero. He gave his life battling evil. He's a hero for taking on what is probably the most evil person on planet. He is a hero for giving no thought for his own mortality. He gave his life in defense of Truth, Liberty, and Justice. May God and the Force be with you all. Thank you." When he finished his speech, he started to weep as he moved away and sat down next to his wife.

After President Featherston's speech, the Jedi Knights chant the Code:

Featherston walks over to John.

"Well John. Looks like things are well in hand now. We have established our base on the coast and it'll be used by all branches of the service. Ambassador Estrada will be arriving within a week to take up his duties as ambassador to CoreWorlds. My family also wanted me to thank you for entertaining us while we visited such a splendid country. I hope John that one day, you and your family can visit Corneliu. We have several islands and they are well fortified against the elements. We would be honored if you came and visited. Unfortunately, we do have to leave soon. I promised to give some speeches at universities and high schools and I need to attend to that. Again my good friend, we are sorry for your loss but we pray that you have a better future."

With that, Featherston stuck out his hand!

Though we have now established a colony on the moon, though albit small because we are still building, we are still looking at expanding into space with colonies on other planets.

"A pleasure to meet you. I have heard of your exploits in freeing this nation." Leia said. "I was just about to ask if you would like an ambassador to set up an embassy in your nation. I've already picked them out, and they need only have my final approval to go."

"Okay. I'll introduce you to her." I walked over to Chief of State Solo with the President. "Ma'am, this is President Featherston, the leader of Corneliu."
"A pleasure to meet you. I have heard of your exploits in freeing this nation." Leia said. "I was just about to ask if you would like an ambassador to set up an embassy in your nation. I've already picked them out, and they need only have my final approval to go."

"It is an honor to meet you too ma'am. Allow me to introduce my Wife, Autumn. We have heard of some of your own exploits in regards to Emperor Palpatine. We will look foward to your ambassador. We will also appoint an ambassador to the New Republic if you like. Though our space navy is very small, we would like to establish better relations."

"Pleased to meet you too, Autumn." Leia smiled. "And your children are quite the diplomats. I see they are already fast friends with my own. Jacen and Jaina are the twins, and Anakin is the one that's a bit shorter and younger."

I would've liked to see the Millinium(Spelling is wrong I know) Falcon. As for our Ambassador, we thank you kindly for offering to transport her back to your capitol. We really don't have any hyperdrive equipped ships. All we have are 3 ships given to us by a friend. As for a good future together, that is our hope as well, Madam President."

"Come to think of it, where is Han?" Leia wondered. "Han?"
"Over here!" The General (never likes the title; a smugggler through and through) waved. It seems that he is currently engaged in a poker game against Admiral Paul Swenson. Leia just shook her head and laughed.
"My husband, ever the card player. He claims he won the Falcon in such a game, but I still don't know if that's true."

As the two leaders walked over to Han, I met up with the Solo kids.
"Hey. You guys are the Solo kids?"
"Yeah. I'm Jacen."
"I'm Jaina."
"and I'm Anakin. Sorry about your loss."
"Thank you. So you guys are training as well? I sense your strengths."
"Yeah." Jacen nodded. "Uncle Luke has an academy on Yavin 4. A bit larger than the one here, but only because the moon is a lot more crowded with life than here."
"Interesting. So, what do you guys like? I like to fly fighters sometimes, even though my older advisors say it's 'unbecoming a national leader'."
They laughed. Jaina spoke next. "Anakin and I are also pilots, although he's more into mechanical stuff. Jacen is very into wildlife, always trying to catch some small creature or other."
"And I also like to make jokes--"
"Bad ones." Anakin rolled his eyes.
"I don't think they are that bad. Anyway, what do you get when you cross a Stormie and a Hutt?"
I decided to humor him. "I don't know. What do you get?"
"A slug with really bad aiming! Ha ha ha!" Nope, no rim shot, just crickets chirping somewhere. "Uh, I think see your point, Anakin."
I grinned. Like Yusuke and Naruto sometimes, but a threesome. "Well, let me introduce you to some other people..."

"It is an honor to meet you General Solo. I am President John Featherston. This is my wife Autumn. And these are our three kids, 1st Lt John Featherston Jr., Michael Featherston, and our daughter Lauren. This is General Solo, President Leia Organa Solo, and there three children, Anakin, Jacen, and Jaina Solo." Featherston introduced.

"It is an honor to meet all of you" Autumn said.

"Yes it is an honor to meet you Sir," 1st Lt Featherston responded. "We have heard some of your exploits. They are very interesting."

Lauren, on the other hand was looking at Jacen Solo.

"Would you like to dance?" she asked him.

Jacen went beet red. "Well, I uh..."
"Aww, go for it!" Anakin laughed a bit.
"Alright. It's a pleasure." With that, the young Jedi guided Lauren to the floor.
"How about you and me?" Jaina asked Lt. John Jr.

"Oh, Han!" Leia beckoned with a finger.
"But, I still have to..."
"Now!" She pulled Han off the chair and pushed him to the floor. Han wasn't too shabby once he got off the game.

I went up to Toni. "May I have this dance?"
"You may, Mr. President." I walked with her up to the floor and danced with her to the smooth jazz music playing. (I love Jazz!)

Kids and adults found their favorite members of the opposite sex and the floor became full of people, young and old, dancing the night away.
C-3PO was in the area, doing what he did best, which is translating between a French diplomat and a German one. Artoo was the DJ's helper. All in all, it was an amazing night.

Suddenly, Chancellor Keiji walks into the room, followed by 4 armed -Noir- body guards.

Keiji: Sorry to interrupt the party, but I have received word that there has been some strange reports of several heat signatures moving around through the bushes and other foliage outside this building. My troops have checked and investigated the disturbance and have found nothing. I ask that your security forces be put on alert until I have received the all-clear from my tactical HQ.
One other thing, did i miss anything? Im sorry I have been absent for most of the funeral and the dinner, I had some state issues to attend to and unfortunately final exams. I was also wondering if the leader of Federal Unionis here? I need to ask him about his "Cold War" and "genetic research initiative," I remember him saying something about a digimon, whatever it is.

OOC: This is a state dinner! They are out there dancing with everyone else.

Lauren and Jacen are having a good time dancing. In a middle of a song, Lauren leans over and kisses Jacen on the cheek.

President Featherston wonders over to the bar and orders champaign for he and his wife.

First Lt. Featherston and Jaina are sitting at the table discussing piloting and seem to be having a wonderful together.

As Featherston looks around the room, he spots the Chanceller from
-noire- enter the room. Seconds later, he brought the champaign back to the table and gave a glass to his a wife.

"You know, Toni. How long have we known each other?" I asked her.
"Six years, and counting. Why?"
"Because I love you, that's why."
A bit of silence, then... "I love you, too."
"Toni, I've been thinking. Are-are you ready to take the next step?"
"What do you mean?"
I pulled out a small box and kneeled before her. "Katherine Antonia Bento, will you marry me?"
She gasped and opened the box. A beautiful diamond engagement ring was in it. "Why, I don't know what to say."
"Think about it for a while." I said.
"You know what? I don't have to." She then kissed me on the lips. "Yes, I will marry you!"
I was stunned. "You sure?"
"Yes. It's time to announce it!"
"Let's go."

We went back to the ball and went up to the stage.
I whispered to the singer. "I have an announcement to make."
The music stopped.
I spoke. "Ladies and gentlemen. Did you have a good time?"
A series of cheers rose from the crowd.
"Esteemed leaders, wonderful guests. I have announcement to make. Actually, Toni and I have the announcement to make. You see..."
"Just spit it out!" Toni hissed.
"Alright. Toni and I have just decided to take the next step in our lives. We are now engaged to be married!"
Stunned silence, then such a cheering, that you'd think there was a bomb that went off. The unknown people outside fled the area in fear.

"Congratulations!" Naruto shouted.
"Man! You really did it!" Yusuke added.
"Isn't this amazing!" Jaina asked her Mom.
"Yes! and so wonderful, too!"

After speaking, President Featherston sipped his champaign. Lauren is still next to Jacen, holding his hand. Autumn Featherston looks over at them and snickers. She looked at her husband after sipping the champaign. Nodding over at Lauren and Jacen, "Remember when you behaved like that?"

"Actually it was you who behaved like that. I think she is smittened by him."

"I believe your right John."

Due to a nuclar crisis the size of the cuban missle crisis the Leader of the Fedral union Has Ordered the nuclar suite case brought out and opend ...

"What an amazing party, eh Lauren?" Jacen asked.
"Yeah. and to top it all, we soon will have a wedding to attend to." Lauren giggled.
"Yep. Uh, one more thing. Shall we exchange numbers?" He scribbled his cell number on a sheet of paper.

Suddenly, the power went out and the ballroom was plunged into near-total darkness.
"What? What's going on! I'm blind!" Patrons were suddenly bumping into each other. Then...
Several shadows, darker than dark, used the blackness and confusion to rush for their targets. Muffled screams were heard, and then the Jedi in the area felt disturbances.

Something kick/punched me in the face, and I went sprawling into a table. In the dark, I felt for the one who did it, and instinctively blocked the next assault.
Toni felt someone grab her, and as she struggled, she was carried off by strong hands. A cloth was placed over her mouth and nose, and she slumped into unconsiousness. The same thing happened to the Featherston daughter (who screamed, "Dad!" before going out), my brother (although he was tougher; took two to subdue him), Kayko (Yusuke's girl) and several other young people (mostly girls, but also boys who attended too).
Attempts were made on Sakura (Naruto's friend), but her ninja training took over, and she dealt a lot of damage to the kidnapper.
A violet lightsaber sprang to life, as Jaina sensed an attacker. Her skills were quite impressive, and the kidnapper lost an arm as a result. The other Jedi had their lightsabers out, ready to fight back, but the kidnappers fled the area with their targets.

Meanwhile, an envelope was found on the sill of one of the broken windows, and it was opened carefully. It contained a note:

When the room plunged into darkness, President Featherston's Detail immediately went into action. They drew their guns and immediately formed a perimeter around Featherston.

"Lauren" John shouted.

At the shout, two secret service guards immediately lept into action. But because it was dark, couldn't quite get to where they were needed.

"Captain" Featherston Shouted, "Get a detail here stat. Make sure no one leads this area."

With that, a detachment of Marines, began to secure the outside of the building.

"Mr. President! We are now in the process of securing a perimeter around the building."

Featherston is getting nervous. Autumn, standing next to him heard her duaghter shout "DAD!"

"John, they have taken Lauren."

"I know but right now, we are in darkness and not much we can do. Captain, they have taken Lauren. I want you to find her and get her back if at all possible. DO NOT NEGOTIATE." He said into a small microphone.

"Understood sir."

1st Lt Featherston brought out his small side arm that he keeps on him at all times.

"People stay where you are. Sgt. See if you can find away to bring these lights backup."
