EUA Defense Ministry announce plans to enlarge army
It is quite clear that the current size of our army (4800 elite troops, 5000 militia) is inadequate. So we plan to expand the size of our land forces to 240,000 as soon as funding is provided by the Congress, hopefully soon.
OOC: 240,000 man army with a population of 6 million? There is no way you could maintain a force of that size.

[OOC] :idea: Unless he intends on running a military state where military service is mandatory. It sounds a little less extreme than Sparta, so it is possible.

Okay...
Just be warned that having an army that size could bring you economic hardship, not to mention there's no way you can arm all of them with weapons other than pistols and AK-47s.
