…And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Den Helder, main Knootian Naval Base

It was past midnight as the navy ships began to move. Taskforce ‘Apocalypse’ left the old, traditional navy base in the Dutch Democratic Republic and headed for the open seas. The taskforce consisted of four groups, named after the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.
War and Famine consisted of surface vessels, heading out into the atlantic. The official story that went up and down the military ranks was, that these groups were on a training mission. Pestilence and Death however, were more insidious, consisting only of submarines carrying deadly payloads. Silently they made their way to their destinations. As long as the water wasn’t transparant, they would not be seen.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
