Citizens are in an uproar in the Republic of Western Navascuez. A recent bill, the Flag Preservation Act, has been passed by Congress which allows for jail sentences for anyone caught burning or defiling the Navascan flag in any way. Protester Tim Connely says "This act is disgusting! We're supposed to be a free republic and we can't express our opinions by burning the flag? This is ridiculous, you can't restrict speech, symbolic or otherwise." However, Senator Samuel Parker has a different point of view. "I fought in the Independence War a few years back, and it made me realize just how important respect for one's country is. My friends sacrificed their lives for the values of this nation, and I'm not about to see it pissed away by some 'revolutionaries' intent on the destruction of this country."
