Now that President Alia Yia Atreus has put down her temporary Emergency Powers she has announced the restoration of the elections and has also announced that she will not run for reelection.
The over 214 Registered Political Parties of Taligari have picked their Candidates for President for their party, the full list would take up several pages so we will tell you about the three main Candidates from the three largest parties.
Krystal Lokea, 27: As the Candidate from the Balance Party, the largest Political Party in Taligari Krystal Lokea has pushed herself into the Most Likely To Win list due to the centerpiece of her campaign, "Strong Economy, Better Healthcare, and Wise Leadership". Krystal has political experience under her belt as the former Governor of the state of Shia during the second term of President Lady Yne Yaio but has spent the last four years on the covers of Fasion Magazines as a model, she has resently done a spread for Maxim and Resa (Taligari's version of Playboy).
Dr. Kelli Q. Dawson, 55: The candidate from the Pikachu Party, Dr, Kelli is a very devout member of the Templar Society of Pokemon Worship (her main deity is Jigglypuff, Goddess of Music). The good Doctor has been quoted saying that she will "Bring good moral judgement back to Taligari Government which now is in a quagmire of moral decay and corruption". Dr Kelli is the former mayor of both New Venice and of Poruga and if she isn't elected plans to devote herself to the Templar as a Nun of Jigglypuff.
Mika Y. Potus, 77: The main candidate from the Silicona Party, a party that is being investigated for Mafia ties and for tax evation. Because of the corruption within the Party many members are attemping to create a new version of the party but so far without success. Mika has made very few campaign pledges or promises except to reduce government spending and remove the restrictions agianst dealing with Totalitarian Governments (Governments with absolute power) as this will help with Taligari's economy which nearly imploded last year but is getting back on track and at the last Government Economics Committee was found to be "Good".
These three people have the best chance of winning the elections so stay tuned to see who will win in the final election.
