Pugaria needs your help!

13-01-2004, 06:42
To whom it may concern:

Pugaria made the mistake of trying to disarm a rogue nation that had lucrative trade deals with all the other nations in the region, and now my country is being torn apart by those nations. If your nation has a huge military and a desire to help the poor and opressed, please help liberate Pugaria! Pugaria is not a poor country, and you might end up with a few trade deals of your own if you help us.

The Peoples Republic of Kilean is somewhat interested by Pugaria's pleas for help, but we need more intelligence.

Just what nation/coalition of nations invaded you? What's the local political situation/terrain/weather/food? Basically, what is going on?

Kilean has a massive army, yet our navy and most of our sealift capacity is currently involved.

We second that. We would need more intel on the issue. Also, for what reason did you try to disarm the other nation?

Thank you for responding, I will provide you with a brief summary of past events.

I personally was not involved in the disarming. I am simply the leader of the resistance forces, trying to make things uncomfortable for the occupiers. Pugaria when it was free tried to disarm the nation of Pwang, a rogue state that was the first to bring WMDs into the region. I was not a member of the government at the time and know no classified details of the attempt. I believe the government tried to do it secretly at first, using spies or special forces to interfere with one or more of the Pwangan weapons programs. However, it failed horribly and the Pwangans naturally declared war on us.

But they weren't content to just nuke us and be done with it, oh no! Pugaria was the only other nation in the region with a "frightening" econ, and I think the greedy bastards wanted to annex an unspoiled Pugaria. Through lucrative trade deals, they managed to lure all but Pugaria's most trusted ally to their side. Fortunately, the Pwangans insisted on controlling their little "coalition" and Pwangan generals are mostly fanatics selected for their loyalty instead of intelligence. We easily crushed their invasion in less than a week.

But problems at home turned the tide. A ruthless dictator seized power in a military coup, and while he was no worse than the Pwangans it allowed the other nations to justify their invasion as a war to bring a war criminal to justice instead of just a greedy land grab. And Pwang had no problem with nuking our ally, so they too deserted us thanks to a little nuclear blackmail.

Now Pugaria has ceased to be a nation, with a multi-national force occupying the capital and both our rightful leader and tin-pot dictator missing or dead. All that stands between Pwang and total victory is me and a band of rag-tag volunteers armed with the Pugarian version of an AK47. However, the political situation between Pwang and their "allies" is very tense, and I think a nation with a powerful military and some diplomatic skills could easily turn the tide once again. And only Pwang can stand up to a liberated Pugaria, thanks to our powerful economy. How quickly things could change!

So now I ask again for other nations to help, any nation. You may even wish to settle permanently in the region, it'll be a nice place to live after the rogue Pwangans are put down.

Please do something soon! The enemy is even now deciding how to divide up Pugaria between them...

In a rare appearence in the interregional community, King Rudlow II of Pwang has issued the following statement:

"Don't listen to this blithering fool. For one thing, Pwang has no intention of dividing up Pugaria between the victors. I want to keep my PR image as an anti-imperialist intact! As you should well know, there is talk of P.L.Y.A. installing a democracy in Pugaria. Personally, I think the idea is ludicrous, since I hardly think the people of Pugaria will appreciate some corrupt idiot watching over them. If Pwang get's it's way, Pugaria will be restabilised and it's infrastructure rebuilt. Sadly, people like this insane Dewitt continue to delay this process. I ask you not to attack us, but to help us in the reconstruction effort in Pugaria. Now, I bet you're wondering why we want to do this when we attacked Pugaria in the first place. The answer is simple: we made a mistake. Or, more precisely, my brother Lemmiff did. In any case, attacking us will be the biggest mistake you ever made. Am I making any sense here? I think I'm not..." *takes a swig of whisky*

President Nixon yells in the face of everyone: "Okay, for one thing, Pugaria was being rulled by a tyrant at the time that Yullan invaded. Infact, he was planning on EXECUTING everyone in a city, and not only that, but sending people of a nearby city to WAR CAMPS! This city was neutral, belonging to the nation of Rlandia, which, strangley enough, is a pretty much neutral on everything. Yullan was an ally of King Erik I, who we belive was a great ruler, until he threatened to nuke us. And no, it was your own people who killed him! I reccomend that the General, myself, Duke Indrek, and the king speak it over and mabey we can establish some form of democracy." President Nixon then notices someone is smoking and says "Put that out young man!"

*General Al Dewitt turns red with rage*

"See! Those pirates even steal private mail! What more do you want?"

(TDK, that is so lame. you're bringing in nations who claim to have an army of a billion and space fleets and everything else.) President Nixon replies, "An attempt to compromise with the General has been sent. Oh, and to all other nations trying to interfere, MIND YOUR OWN BUISNESS!"

*General Dewitt smurks at the Yullanese idiots*

"You nations are sure taking your time liberating us, but those Yullans are so cowardly that they're not even waiting for you to show up to start panicing. The evil occupiers are down to two and the war for liberation hasn't even started!"

OOC: You know what, I'm roleplaying my character, who is somewhat of a zealot. Please stop insulting me just because I roleplay my character. I could probally not roleplay my character and have a guy with no flaws, but thats not fun. And I didn't even find this place via your link, I found it via the regular board. I read this board regularly. I could go around going "Next time, lets make sure KK dosen't know where the topic is" but do I? NO!
IC: Mr. General, I am leaving the nation because I want your nation to become a democracy. You said you wanted me to leave, so I did. Pwang and Levitan are leaving as well. So, I don't know why you continue to ask for help.
