A BILL
To increase border security of the Konanain State, from foreign invasion.

Whereas foreign military powers have recently increased the mass and number of their armies;
Whereas the Konanian National Defence Force is dedicated to the mission of defence of Konania and her Allies;
Whereas the history has proven that a versitile army is the key to a nation's defence;
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Konania that funds be committed for creation and continuation of the following projects:
Extension of the Canterras Mountain Defense Line to the Eilior Mountain Range
Research into defense projects as outlined by Interspace and Advanced Aerospace Corporation
Creation of a constant coastal watch
Expansion of the Shock Offensive division to the Konanian National Defense Force

Frederick Earley, second in command of the Canterras Line defenses walked the tunnels between each bunker regularly. The only lighting came from the electric lights which hung above his head. Also above his head, every 100 feet or so, was a ventilation tube cleverly disguised from peering satellites and aircraft above. It was notoriously quiet down here, and rarely did one see more than the odd cadet jogging the tunnels between the mess and the barracks.

So his surprise was to be expected when one armed soldier, came down the hallway, stopped in front of him, and saluted him sharply. He spoke:

"Lieutenant Earley, I have been ordered to deliver a message." He then recited as if from a record, "You are to return from here to the Akhen DI immediatly for new orders regarding the defense of the border formed by the Eilior Mountains. Your superior has been informed of the transfer." He extended his arm with a folded-stamped-and-sealed pink sheet of paper in hand. Earley took it, and the cadet continued to stare past him, as if he wasn't there--a stance at attention straight probably from his textbook.

Earley took off his glasses and peered at the sheet, raising an eybrow. The Eilior...

Within minutes, a satellite recieved information of Earley's departure and transfer. The nature of his mission was transmitted as UNKNOWN.
