Quin Izumi stood in front of the massive banner. He calmed himself, and began to address the people of Abu-Dhabi Khristatata.
"My fellow Khristians! A heinous blow has been delt to us by forces unkown. Millions of people fell from the glory of the stars to death in an airless void that some say is death itself. Troubadors and doppledangers from that evil Satan are infecting our people and causing them to rebel, already more than eighty-five colonies have j oined the revolt. Our heavenly navy has abandonded us. We are a people without help and without hope. All we can do now is fight, fight like our ancestors did against the Russians and the Ottomans before then.
"The blood of a Khristian is intertwined with war; we are emissarries of death. Let those who follow me wear the Phoenix valiantly upon his breast, for it is said: 'He who takes up arms with his brother, and not against him, shall be like the Phoenix, as cunning as a hawk, and as mighty as an eagle.' Therefore, fight we must! Let the armies surge forth! May the blood of the rebels pave the way to the future of all Khristiankind!"

I don't think people realize how devestating this is. In a week of fighting and disastors, 30 million of my people have been killed. Every ship in orbit of the Earth has been put in danger of this war. When the colony hit Earth, it changed the world climate, slightly. It also caused massive Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Volcanic Erruptions. Millions more should be dead, but people seem disinterested....

Same thing happens to me. I've got an RP going on that could change the course of Eurydian history forever. I may not be super powerful... but I think people would be interested in what happens. Just know that there are those that do take an interest... they just don't have much of an opinion I guess.

Aboard the SCVN-2812 FRSN Saratoga:
The bridge was dark red and the ship was at battlestations as the fighting had erupted in orbit, and several massive explosions registered. Chimera Station was out of the way of any trouble, as it was situated in space in a non-moving orbit. The only time Earth came close to the Chimera Station was during the summer months when the Northern Hemisphere was tilted toward the sun. However the transports were not lucky. Twenty of the massive MacAuther class Transports sat in orbit of Earth unprotected. They had been there for the sole purpose of carrying naval personnel from Earth over toward Mars to crew the new ships of the Federal Navy.
The explosive situation in the orbit of Earth had left the transports in danger of being hit by stray fire. The SCVN-2812 Saratoga and the SCVN-2810 Bunkerhill had been dispatched from their protection of the Chimera Staryards leaving it up to the SCVN-2811 William F. Halsey and SCVN-2813 Empress Sirithil. Commodore Justin Blair had been tasked with the protection of the transport, and with 14,000 people to protect he was prepared to use the Saratoga as a shield while the transports left orbit. Reading over his orders again he couldnt believe a single thing that was going on.
General Headquaters, Federal Republic Stellar Navy:
Fleet Admiral Alexi Ronmen,to Commodore Blair aboard the Saratoga:
Your vessel is to make haste to Earth orbit, and provide fire support, and surpressive fire for MacAuthur class transports loading up and moving out of Earth orbit. We've registered heavy fighting in the oribt of earth and crews are no longer safe. The convoy is in danger of stray fire and the lives of 14,000 naval personnel are at risk now. Your Carrier must ensure the safety of as many vessels as possible, however you may only fire in self defense, do not, repeat do not take an active stance in any of the fighting unless ordered to do so by Fleet, or General Military Command. The Bunkerhill is moving with you and Commodore Perry will be under your command for this operation. You will be relieved by the 1st and 2nd Fleets which have departed Mars. Protect as many transports on their escape from Earth orbit as possible. Good luck and god speed.
Back on earth in the capital of New York City, an already brutal winter was made even worse as the temperature had dropped another few degrees cause of the impact. Scientist in the capital were already trying to analyze the effects of the colony drop on the planet. Reports werent good for nations near ADK, and while it wasnt really good for anywhere on the planet President de los Santos believed the Federal Republic to be lucky. Preparation was key, nuclear bombproof bunkers around the nation contained thousands of pounds of dried foods and other nonperishable foods for the event of nuclear holocaust on the planet. The food stores could be used to help rebuild the nation after such an event and now they would be used incase of mass crop failures in NYNJ.
However preparation did not mean calm, and an already paraniod military which was on pins and needles saw its alert condition upgraded to possible nuclear warfare.Paranoia however was short lived as calls were placed to commanders and an explination given as to the status change. No one expected nuclear war, however it was expected more colony drops would occur. If not by accident then on purpose. At the Strategic Air Command Center the order had been issued and 25% of all bombers were put in the air, they would try their best to shoot down another colony in the atmosphere if nessecary. Many were praying it wouldnt be though.

High over Abu-Dhabi, the massive Federation Space Station ground to a halt in its orbit.
No more colonies would hit the surface. No more unplanned enviromental changes would occur.
The massive black shadow the fifty kilometer station would cast on the ground would be enough to let everyone below it know that.

"Get those crews to those damned ships!" Yelled Grand Captain Paul Atreks. "We've got to get these Omegas and Omicrons launched before the rebel bastards get here!"
He had landed a strong force on the Quin Izumi Space Station and was hijacking ship museums for battle. Some two hundred ships were within the station, and 25 modern ships were the only ones that remained loyal to Quin Izumi. That's half a battle regiment... he thought. Goddamnit! They command nine and a half battle regiments!

Aboard the FRSN Yorktown:
“The Navy wants us to do what now?” Admiral Towne looked in disbelief as the course was plotted away from the Chimera Staryards. “Does Fleet Command have any idea that putting the navy in the middle of a war zone is a bad idea?” . Towne didn’t look the least bit pleased as he stared at the chart ahead of him. His hand moved up and pointed toward the lone Empress Sirithil which was closer to the action than any other of the warships in the fleet, save for the MacArthur class transports which were loading up and attempting to make a break for open space without getting caught in the crossfire. “We already have one ship capable of providing support, why do we need to move the entire fleet and even the new additions?” Admiral Novali looked around and smiled a bit at Admiral Fortune. Fortune moved in the middle of the group of four other Admirals.
“Look Lance, we’ve been asked to do something through the diplomatic channels. It’s something we had planned on doing in case of an extreme result; however, we’ve got enough ships to do it now. The ADK civil war is a danger to the entire world, as well as the moon. We’ve got to try and put an end to this before it spreads and engulfs the planet.” Fortune pointed at the Cruiser Squadrons listing a worn look on his face, he looked as if he were going to retire any day now. “Cruiser Squadrons 21-60 have been outfitted with Indiastan missiles. They’re part of the original design.” Fortune allowed for that bit of information to sink in with the Admirals who needed some time to consult their statistics sheets. “You kidding me right?” Admiral Shake had just been inducted into the small circle looked around at everyone else who had stone cold looks on their faces for the moment. Silence, except for the noise of the Carrier, everything else was silent.
“You’re not kidding. Oh hell…” The youngest of the Admirals shook his head and wished at the moment he could go back to being the simple Carrier Captain. However it appeared as if the choice had been already made for all of them. This was just a formality to explain the plan. Such was how the military worked. Admiral Shake could only hope that Fleet Command, and President de los Santos knew what the hell they were doing. Novali looked over toward Fletcher who was quiet the whole time, and Fletcher just gave an uncaring shrug. To him ADK was getting what it deserved in order to save the rest of the planet. Novali looked around once more and said lowly, “The meetings over, the Cruiser Squadron Commanders for 21-60 know their orders, as do their captains. However that’s it. The rest of the fleet is only to know that our ships are moving out and nothing more. Understood?” Nods were all the response that was given from the four Admirals as they moved over toward the door..
Vicinity of Chimera Staryards:
The combined Federal Republic Stellar Navy began to move slowly departing from their positions, they had gathered up in formations of warships with their respective fleets. However the order came to move and they were now moving underway. The Empress Sirithil had been called back from its assignment and was going to join up with the moving warships. Four hundred and forty warships in all, the ships moved in a loose formation back toward Earth. The John F Kennedy class Fleet Carriers dropping the Hammerhead fighters they carried, they were prepared for a massive engagement. The destination of the fleet would put them in far orbit of ADK. A message coming up from the Yorktown as it moved through space
This is Fleet Admiral Felix Novali of the Federal Republic of New York and New Jersey, to all forces engaged in fighting this pointless civil war. It has been decided that actions taken in your civil war have presented themselves to be an immediate threat to the rest of the world. If you do not stop your fighting, then we will be forced to intervene on behalf of the rest of the planet to put this conflict to rest as quickly as possible.Do not, repeat do not make us open fire on either side. This is your only warning.”
The 200 Hyperion class Cruisers of Cruiser Squadrons 21-60 moved ahead of the rest of the navy slowly. They would be the first ships to go in and for good reason. They carried weapons that didnt normally come with use warships. Fusion missiles, supplied by an outside source. They would be put to use rather shortly as both sides had proven themselves to be highly barbaric in nature during this conflict.

Aboard the FRSN Yorktown:
"Any response from either side?"Fleet Admiral Felix Novali, looked down at the communication officer who could only shake his head. Novali walked over toward the status board and looked up, the ships were in position. However he needed a confirmation of that. He didnt wait long before he got his answer though as his Fleet aid came up beside of him and whispered to the Admiral who only shook his head and turned his back on the aid. "Anvil." A single word, was all it took from Admiral Novali and the fleet aid an a Marine Corps Lieutenant moved down over toward the communication officer and leaned forward abit. The Admiral's knew the signal to commence operation, and when the word was sent, little time was wasted...
Aboard the FRSN Bunkerhill:
Admiral Shake still had some reservations about it. In truth no Admiral wanted to do this. This was wiping out an entire nation from orbit. Even then the wiping out from orbit was an iffy, they had little target information and their targeting information as it was,was wide spread and meant to cause as much damage as possible. Before that could happen though, among the rear wave of 240 warships, other orders were read. Cruiser Squadrons 21-60(200 ships total) had their own set of orders which they were prepared to carry out. However this set of orders was much different. The rear line fleet was to target any orbital defenses which were to launch against the Hyperions, or stop the Hyperion Assault. They would also be the rear guard to protect the fleet from any potentional assault. Which meant while the 3rd Fleet faced Earth, the 1st and 2nd Fleets were facing port and starboard so that no ships would be able to outflank the naval group, the Nomad Moon Defense Fleet which was unoffically the 4th Fleet had its aft to Earth, its bow facing the stars, everything was set.
"Weps, target as many orbital weapons platforms that we can confirm belong to the ADK as possible. Prepare to fire on confirmation that the Yorktown has begun its volly of weapon fire." Shake looked up at the bridge clock as seconds ticked away, it was only a 30 seconds till midnight Eastern Standard Time hit. The bridge was silent, nothing was said, everyone figured out something was about to happen, but few realized the complete magnitude of the operation at hand. Admiral Shake began to whistle "What a Wonderful World" which caused people on the bridge to look at Shake who only counted down to himself from 10. At seven Admiral Shake began to sing aloud.
Aboard the FRSN Lexington:
"All hands on the 2nd Fleet, prepare for fleet action. We will take no chances that any counter attack will not happen immediately after we launch. Weps, all Phalanx II missiles, and the 50 Mw Guns are to target any incoming missiles, lets try and limit our casualities by not doing anything foolish now folks." Admiral Lance Towne looked up toward the clock as the five second mark to midnight hit. Unlike Shake he needed a song to keep his nerves in check Towne was going over request forms and signing his name off on forms. Of course this had the side effect of being a morale booster. Towne normally signed off on requests for vacations before major battles, it gave the crews something to fight for.
"LIDAR Contact!Outgoing weapons fire! The Yorktown has commenced its volley Admiral." It had only been a single second after midnight when it started. Moving over toward the bridge viewport Admiral Towne watched as the heavy guns which had turreted to face the planet began to fire upon the satellites and weapons platforms which protected the ADK nation in space. Fire came from around the entire fleet, except the Nomad Moon Defense Fleet which didnt fire having their aft guns mostly blocked by the 1st Fleet. The 2nd and 3rd Fleet was only using half of its own weaponry as they kept a porition of their guns faced elsewhere for security reasons. Simultanious to the Yorktown's firing was the launch of missiles from the lead Hyperions...
Cruiser Squadron 21, FRSN Morning Glory:
Captain George Becker knew his orders at the helm of a brand new Cruiser, he was more than glad to exercise them as well. He started at the bridge clock as midnight hit, then a second after. "Clear tubes one and two." The weapons officer looked at the weapons board and flicked the switches of the missile to fire position, they automatically reset themselves a short time later as the first two fusion missiles departed from their racks. In line with the other 200 ships of the Hyperion Cruiser Force the fusion missiles, each about 1 kiloton in strength moved toward the planet below. The first volly was to target defense sites around the nation, anything which constituted a threat or had the possiblitiy of shooting down a missile was targeted, and repeatedly targeted to ensure the probability of target destruction to be high.
The Weps Officer looked over toward the Captain and checked the Missile Board as both lights lit up again after a minute. "Volly two ready Captain." "Fire!" A second volly unleashed another 400 missiles departed from the fleet, this volly was targeting the ADK power grid, power plants, substations, and even power lines which wouldnt be at all protected were targeted for destruction. The vollies would get increasingly more destructive and as the third volley launched toward the planet, each missile was targeting a specific military base now, the fourth volly launched at around 12:10 in the morning and was hitting the ultimate target, the capital of ADK and several other large industrial cities. The goal of the attack was not to reduce the entire nation to ash, but it was to remove the ADK earth based nation of any ability to continue to wage war. The colonies themselves would be delt with, but for the moment, this is what needed to be taken care of. A total of 1,600 fusion missiles each with the destructive power of 1 kiloton were launched at the nation of ADK. By 12:12 the guns were silent once more and Fleet Admiral Novali began to wait for the first reports from the surface.
Back in NYNJ:
The military was on war footing, air raid sirens went off across the nation and the country was under cerfew for the first time in decades. The air force was ready for any retaliatory strike, and the Terra based navy was getting ready to get underway. The Civil Strategic Missile Defense Corps was put on alert and PAC-3 and Nike MIM-14 Hercules Batteries were prepared for action. The SAC fueled the STO(Surface to Orbit)-1 Sky Haven Missiles for launch at any orbital targets which showed up. Even the massive Stonehenge Rail Guns at Long Island and Puerto Rico were brought online, not for testing but for national defense, it was the first time ever they would be used. President de los Santos was taking no chance, that ADK might go for MAD.
The emergency broadcast system was in full effect across the nation, and President de los Santos had addressed those who were still awake at 12:00AM as to what was going on in orbit and across the nation. If a person had a bomb shelter, they and their families and friends were huddled inside. In the city that never sleeps, the streets were empty save those few souls who watched the news ticker down at 42nd street, or the giant TV as President de los Santos spoke from what appeared to be the capital building. However in truth it was really a backdrop, President de los Santos had made sure the Shadow Government was ready at the underground city of New Dawn. The country would continue as it was even if the surface was destroyed, or at least it would try to.

The L3 Point was on the opposite side of the Earth that the NYNJ fleets were on at this point.
A truce had been signed, temporarily and hastily. A lone ship opened a jump-point and then reappeared near the NYNJ fleet and exploded just as it began to exit the singularity.
"Cure thy children's warring madness, bend our pride to thy control; shame our wanton, selfish gladness, rich in things and poor in soul."
The jump-point collapsed. The interdimensional forces began to rip the very fabric of space as a massive explosion ripped through the surronding area, which, in theory, should destroy any vessels of satellites within it's path.
"Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, lest we loose thy kingdom's goal, lest we miss thy kingdom's goal."
*************
PDS Lasers laced out from their turrets and began to destroy the missiles as they entered the skies above ADK. People fled to the bunkers and to the countryside as second strike weaponry was prepared for a counterattack. The world would be stained red with blood for all eternity because of this.
"Save us from weak resignation to the evils we deplore; let the search for thy salvation be our glory forevermore."
16 missiles launched from their silos carrying a highly advanced form of ebola that was air-born. Biological warfare was primitive, but there were few options left for the half-elf Khristians.

S.P.S.S. Anglachel, LOE, ADK Station
Anglachel reeled. The pain was enormous. How it hurt, it hurt, it HURT!
The energy blast caused the drive to flare dark blue around the station, and inside, drive systems blew out, inertial compensators died, and power conduits exploded.
Anglachel felt her human crew dying, and there was nothing she could do. The AGONY of it all.
Using what drive was left, sealing hull breachs, Anglachel struggled to keep herself from falling into the planet, into the now burning atmosphere, as the drive slowly pushed the massive bulk from the planet below.
S.P.S. Capella, First Task Force, Battle Fleet, Earth Orbit
Farragut watched in horror as the Anglachel struggled against gravity over ADK. The shear power of the blast was as blatent as its stupidity.
Hundreds of nations had to have lost assets in the blast. All would be gunning for ADK now. Anglachel had only survived by virtue of her size. And now, on the Capella, Farragut, Fleet Admiral, CINCFSPSN, had a decision to make.
And he made it. That attack was an Act of War on the Federation.
"Fleet Orders. Set Condition Red: General Quarters. All ships are now under ROE Foxtrot, concerning ADK assets. The Fleet will proceed to engage the ADK Fleet at L3."
And with those orders, 240 ships of Battle Fleet blazed to life, sensors online, EI ready for combat, drive fields burning in the eternal night of space.
Through out the Fleet, and even thoughout the Federation, for the news was swift to travel, there was but one word on the tongues of the people. "Bastards."
ADK would die.

The evacuation of Earth began anew. 300 million people had been evacuated from Earth during the ADK-GDODAD War. Now 800 million more must be transported.
In groups of 20 the colonies jumped. ADK had long prepared for situations like this, and drills had been executed before. Life would begin anew amongst the stars. There were other planets, systems and dimensions that could be conquered.
Soon the only ADK possesions in orbit would be the asteriod fortresses Pezun, Solomon, and A Boa Qu.

Cruiser Squadrons 21-60:
The ship popping out from hyperspace caught the forward Cruiser Groups by surprise, the ships however were spread out to prevent themselves from firing on each other, or from firing in such a tight cluster to be able to wipe the missles out. The explosion however managed to destroy the nearest 75 ships to the blast and damaged from moderate to heavily another 90 ships. The Morning Glory, under the command of George Becker was one of the ships crippled by the blast. Cracks in her hull vented oxygen gas, and internal deck fires spewed out into space from dozens of warships before the airless night extinguished them. Reports, SOS calls, and orders for evacuations flooded the radio channels and the pandimonium had sent a slight feeling of panic throughout the rest of the fleet.
Of the two hundred Hyperions in the Cruiser Squadrons thirty five remained untouched by the explosive blast. and they began to clear the missile tubes they had in ernest toward the planet below. The exchange of missiles was all kept monitored back at the Huntington Strategic Air Command Center in Long Island New York and when the 16 missiles launched from their silos and didnt come from orbit, the GUDA Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense System came online. Interceptors fired from the defensive platforms as missiles moved from the atmosphere attempting to get the missiles before they entered lower orbit.
It was cruel but no one at the SAC knew those missiles carried the ebola virus and thus none of them cared if the 16 were shot down over ADK itself.
FRSN John F Kennedy:
"What the hell...where did that come from?!" Admiral Fletcher called out from the bridge as the hulls of dozens of warships burned in the distance. "Send a signal to the fleet, raise anchor and get us underway. Pull back the ships in the fleet. If we see another jumpgate open up, all vessels are to pour fire into it." The ships of the Federal Navy began to move, however as they moved ISSAPC after ISSAPC was launched, they would collect as many lifeboats as possible from the ships. The dynamics of this battle had completely changed.
Deep under Mt. Cyan, a myrad SOS calls were quite easily linked to the massive explosion in Earth orbit that had taken out multiple satelites, and not a few civilian shuttles. Perhaps it was fortionate that the International Space Station wasn't nearby at the time, that would certainly have caused an incident.
But linked, the results of the attack caused one hell of a red flag in the Wazzu defense network. It didn't take long to gather the Executive Board via secure link. Nor did it take long for a decision to be made.

"Milady, Elrandir Atta has sent word they have found a marginally-habitable planet... survivable without assistance, arid, a bit cooler than Earth, low enough resource content not to be worth mining, high gravity, about 30% water coverage on the surface. It seems to match your specifications." Serendis grinned rather wickedly. "You know what that means." She fed a data crystal into the holoprojector, showing telemetry from one of the research cruiser's probes. It showed the view from an onboard camera as the tiny robotic drone soared over vast expanses of tundra plains, shallow, salty oceans, and isolated stands of scrabbly coniferous-looking forest.
Sirithil smiled. "Excellent! Yes, I know exactly what it means. It will be an excellent place to deposit the Khristians. I am glad such a number of our ships are mustered from the near-war with the Thelasi. I want them deployed; you are to find and hunt down the ADK colonies. Do not make contact. You are to disable them; attack and blow out their drives and destroy their communications, but do not eliminate the colonies themselves. Leave them to their own devices... we will send freighters, and we will 'rescue' the hapless colonists... and we will bring them here." She pointed at the holo. "Does this place have a name yet?"
"No, milady."
"Then we shall name it Purgatory."
Serendis smiled, turning to go.

Battle Fleet speared outward, blazing towards the L3 point, towards the ADK colonies attempting to outrun light itself.
Onboard S.P.S. Capella Farragut gave a single order. "Fire."
From capital missile tubes, missiles lanced out. Nearly half contained naught but penetration ECM, and they blazed outward, seeking to blind the ADK point defense firecontrol. And where they succeeded, their brother missiles slipped through.
These missiles did not have the colonies as their targets, though they were the aim. As they reached suitable distance, the missiles disentegrated, and tiny machine flew on towards their marks, swarms of them, thousands of them.
Quantum locators.
And when they struck a target, they blazed to life, calling into the depths of space, broadcasting their position for the Federation to see.
Then Battle Fleet turned its vengeful eyes upon the Kristatatan Fleet. Broadsides swung round, and the ships unleashed their very own special form of Hell. Capital missiles, requiring no more than 5000 kilometers of closeness sped towards the enemy, blazing in the night sky.
They too were accompanied by jamming missiles, battering at the enemy's defensive fire control. And for everyone of these missiles that reached five thousand kilometers of the target, 15 deadly beams of focused X-rays spilled forth in a porcupine of destruction. And where these beams touched, armor and shields would bend, hulls would deflect, but engines and weapons would be wiped away, crewmen mutilated by the energies, and atmosphere spilled.
The ships of Battle Fleet charged in on their missiles' heels.
"Captain, Nav."
"Go ahead Nav."
"5 minutes to the zone."
"Comm, did we get a return on our offer?"
"Yes Ma'am, the Yorkers know were comming to help."
"Good, contact central and let them know were ready for the shuttles. Nav, put us between the damaged ships and the ground. Tac, full defensive measures, your on direct order from Commodore Wellings. Med, get ready, we're about to have a lot of patients. Lets get to in people!"

“At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee; on then, Christian soldiers, on to
victory! Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise; brothers lift your voices, loud
your anthem’s raise”
They moved en echelon. First wave, second, third, and fourth. Above, below, behind, in
the front. They fired mercilessly.
“Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on
before.”
The main Khristian vessels were dodging and destroying the second volley of missiles
that had been fired by the Federation ships.
“Like a mighty army moves the church of God; brothers, we are treading where the
saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in
charity.”
Six Aleph class multi-beam cruisers moved in to continue the assault on the
Federation vessels as the drones peeled off to reload. They brought hundreds of pulse
lasers and laser cannons to bear on the Federation vessels. They targeted weapons and
engines, and soon the battle cruisers would move in and prepare to board the vessels,
metal shouldn’t go to waste in times like these.
“Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane, but the church of Jesus
constant will remain. Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail; We have Christ’s
own promise, and that cannot fail.”
On all available frequencies, Khristian battle jargon fell silent for a moment, and in the
moment sprang forth the battle cry….
“ Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross; lift high his royal banner, it
must not suffer loss.”
“WE STAND ON THE BRIDGE AND NONE MAY PASS!!”
The hearts of the Khristians were filled with pride as they remembered the valiant efforts
made by their ancestors against Arda and the Melkorian forces.
They would fight, fight for the future, God, glory, and honor. They were legends in their
own time.
“From victory unto victory his army shall he lead, till every foe is vanquished, and
Christ is Lord indeed.”

The plasma torpedos came in, and Battle Fleet responded as one, finely meshed ship EIs working in tandem.
Autocannons spit fire, ripping apart the plasma charges, as did lasers, piercing the containment fields, the energy pulse prior to launch a dead give away.
But as always, some got through... to impact against the drive fields. But there were not nearly enough as the fleet whirled into the criss crossing laser fields of the enemy.
The lasers began battering the drives of the outer destroyers, but they had power to spare, and acceleration remained the same.
And then Battle Fleet went to full combat mode. Massive Grasers, carefully disguised in public tech readouts as lasers, fired, rending all they came into contact with.
Particle cannons blazed masses of energy outwards, seeking death and ruin. Kinetic missiles fired, tearing outwards towards their targets at nearly four percent of lightspeed.
Capital missiles, armed with mixed loads, nuclear and x-ray armed, jammers and false targets, screamed from the launch tubes.
EM catapults roared inside vancant hanger decks, clearing away squadron after squadron of fighters.
Fighters went after the drones, seeking to kill them before they could reload, autocannon and missiles seeking the small elusive, though unarmed targets.
It would be a slaughter.
It would have been a slaugter..........but then they all woke up and realized it was a dream.

OOC: First three posts in this thread are as follows:
It was business as usual in the massive city of Izumoati. Izumoati, City of the Dark Gates... Massive launch facilities, ever busy; factories, military facilities... It was a city the size of Turkey.
On the banks of the Sea of Manmara sat the beautiful Izumi Palace. hundreds of stories tall, miles long, home to hundreds of thousands... It was a city within the city. Museums, offices, schools, art galleries... It was the center of the Khristian government. It was the home of Quin Izumi, Grand Admiral and Grand Duke.
Quin walked slowly down the massive arched hall, his feet echoing throughout the entire wing of that palace, the marble statues of leaders gone by were left rattling in his wake. His black cape fluttered, and the obsidian Phoenix, emblazoned on his uniform on top of his heart, was like the infinite depths of space in the noonday sun. Dressed in red, black, and silver he walked, his platnium hair flowing behind him like a sea of bayonets shining in the sun.
He stopped before two great wooden doors. He took a breath, taking in the wonderful smell of cedar. He loved his job, his nation, and his people. He slowly opened the door, to find the council there, waiting for him. He walked into the room, which was... more modern than the great hall which he had just walked through. He took his seat and tapped a few buttons on the consule in front of him before he began to speak.
"How goes the day, my friends?" His voice was cordial, yet subtly decisive.
No one said anything for almost a minute. There was a look of sorrow on the other four men's faces. One coughed, while the rest fought back tears.
Quin picked up the pitcher of vodka, and poured himself a glass. Then he took the teapot of strawbberry cordial and poured into his vodka. He looked at the other men and smirked.
"What the hell's wrong with you people?" He let go of all diplomatic tendencies, perferring now to be frank and earnest with his fellow councilmen.
"It's umm... Colony YK426 sir... They're loosing power. And on YK231 there was a short rolling blackout. Several other colonies are reporting the same. We're afraid the colonies are dying sir."
Quin sat in shock. Almost 1.3 billion people lived in the colonies... If one of them lost power, it would lose it's orbit and crash to the earth in a churning maelstrom of death and be the end of billions. He sighed.
"Begin evacuation and overhaul."
He got up and walked out, his cape fluttering as he dissappeared down the hall.
Let it Be
*************************************************************
Hundreds of cylinders, spinning and turning with the rhythm of time, lit and bright in the coldness of space. Around them lay death, but they were hope in the ever-present remembrance of the doom to come. Yet, one was scarred with a menacing look, it twisted and turned slightly, its lights figured. It was colony YK246.
The colony gave another lurch as cars and people were flung into the surrounding landscape. Cars embedded themselves into houses, hundreds of people were dead, and yet, this was only the miniscule beginnings of the birthing pains of the new age. Colonial workers rushed to their stations, keeping ever-vigilant watch over their consoles. Like hawks their eyes peered into the mess of plastic and electrons, yet they doubted, as humans do.
“Curse my humanity.” One of the men in Control Room 26-7B muttered. “Eru, God, give me determination and spirit.” All around the room the 36 other men were praying prayers similar. One mistake and you had a can full of 20 million people flying into a ball full of 20 trillion. “Let’s not f--- this one up.” Someone said, almost too loud.
In 52 different control rooms, in 52 different parts of the colony, it was almost the same shade of fear, some more, some less. So was the way with Khristians, cursed with the imperfections of humanity, and the expanded life of an elf.
The colony gave another lurch and in the suburban areas, houses began collapsing. Gravity fluxuated from 1.5g, to 0, to 3g. People were knocked from their stations, reactors ran critical.
Then with an explosion on Hell itself could match, the colony ripped open and was sent spiraling out of control by a deed even Satan himself was not proud of. Millions of people vaporized in an instant, millions more dying from explosive decompression. Some fail saves worked, but many didn’t. In the remaining areas of the colony, stabilizing the great station was the important thing.
Wearily the pilots and taskmasters made their moves. Engines roared to life as the colony surged into Cislunar orbit it’s fated and accursed target being the majestic Earth herself. An engine exploded and all hope was lost. Within 7 minutes, millions were dead, and unless this bent knife was kept from reaching the Cradle of Civilization, billions would be dead.
Many in the colonies could tell what happened, but the shock was so unbearable that none acted; even the Khristian military gave no budge. Quin Izumi himself had not heard of this heinous deed of Beelzebub.
The Khristian Grand Fleet finally swung into action, diving towards the emmisarry of doom on it's voyage. Making quick calculations and dodging the tens of thousands of ships within Earth orbit, their weapons systems went to wark plotting the neccessary trajectory within seconds for plasma bombs. Hundreds of launchers unleashed their weapons as they made all haste to vaporize the falling station. Corvettes and fighters annhiliated smaller, yet lethal peices of debris. Some neutral ships had taken damage from the floating debris and the doomsday device the was YK246.
The plasma bombs hit taking out a large chunk of the station, yet still it moved. Another volley, and another. The debris began to enter the atmosphere and closer ships began slicing it up with pulse cannons. More than 75% of the remaining structure burned up in the atmosphere, but the rest did not. It made its way into the Pacific Ocean, with a sight so terrible that words cannot describe it.
The sea rolled back for miles, the Earth shook, and the ghust of air caused by the carcass of YK246 went rolling around the world thrice over. There world was lucky it's reactors did not explode.
Immediately an outcry went up from the Khristian Colonies. People rushed to Earth, but the military transports charged excessive fees, and few people went planetside. Many resorted to violence. Killings, lootings, rapings, and many more deplorable acts. All were done in hope to get to Earth. Military personnel mutinied and deserted, taking up arms and attempting to seize colonies. The powderkeg had exploded, but the rest of the warehouse had not.
It blew up in the colony YK102...
Private Antotny Trikoliv looked up at the top of the colony, it was on fire. It burned with a hatred long imprisoned, hatred for forigners and hatred of opression. He looked down the street at the angry mob approaching his way. He readied his sub-machine gun. His battalion opened fire, hundreds of sub-machine guns firing dozens of bullets into the unsuspecting crowd. But there was something they didn't see... Four captured helicoptors launched missiles mercelessy into the soldiers. All was lost for the government in the colony.
Rebellion quickly spread out through Sector 2 of the colonies. Military ships and installiations were seized. By the end of the week, rebellion was in full order. And little military personnel remained to fight it.
The lesson? Thou Shalt Not Engage In Frivolous Retcons.

Aboard the FRSN Carrier Yorktown:
"Admiral Fletcher! The SPS Fleet has begun to open fire on the nearby ADK Warships." The LIDAR officer called up as his screen lit up like a bunch of christmas lights with th exchange of weapons fire. Then the drones came onto the screen. "We've got incoming bandints heading for the SPS fleet. They're coming from an ADK Oribtal Base, classifying her as Sierra Contact 1." Admiral Fletcher proceeded across the bridge and grabbed his low light binoculars off the table raising them up and gazing over toward the direction of where Sierra 1s location was reported.
"Would you look at that...Comm Ops. Send a message to he fleet. Pull anchor get us underway. Carriers are to emergency launch their fighters. I want the night filled with the bright lights of Hammerhead engines burning away." It took about five minutes before wave after wave of fighters began to launch from the 14 Fleet Carriers, only a few dozen from each, space was infinite however the likely hood of friendly fire was still an ever present danger. Alittle over five hundred Hammerheads filled the night, only a poriton of the fleets total fighter strength. The navy at least its remnants were moving at full speed toward A Baoa Qu to deal with the base which made itself known.
Aboard the Morning Glory:
"Captain Becker, we've got incoming vessels, they belong to Wazzu..they say they're here to help." Captain Becker was being attended to by a medic for a rather nasty gash above his right eyebrow, he looked as if he had just went a round with the Heavy Weight Champion of the world and lost. Becker stood up from the chair and walked over toward the LIDAR officer hobbling slowly as he moved. The Morning Glory had taken over command of the rescue effort from the Fleet as it moved away to deal with what appeared to be all out warfare.
The remaining 35 Hyperion Heavy Cruisers moved to protect the crippled warships while attempting to recover as many lifepods and lifeboats as possible. They werent medical ships though and the hundred of people out in space were more than they could handle at the moment. The arrival of the hospital ships was a good thing. Captain Becker sighed with relief and leaned forward keying open the radio transmitter and sending the following message, "We'ed give you guys a warmer welcome, but we've got serious problems. Any help you can provide will be nice. We'll handle the ships that look as if they're about to go up. No need putting yourselves at any further risk." The message was in as unoffical tone as possible.

The Khristian vessels turned back to make another attack, althoug there were fewer ships now than there had been the first time. The vessels dove, massdrivers, missile launchers, pulse cannons, lasers, all weapons blazing.
Attack bombers weaved in and out launching plasma bombs into the Federation vessels. Like flies on a pile of sugar they dove, attacked, took off, and repeated. Their losses were certainly great, but they reaped large rewards.
As the NYNJ vessels closed in on A Boa Qu, the massive asteroid's weapon systems came on line. Thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of pulse lasers came on line. They went to work slicing NYNJ ships and fighters up into metallic bread, God needs to eat too.
The drones focused their attack on the Federation vessels, repeating the basic tactics, but changing it minutely so that the FSP vessels didn't get the hang of shooting up drones.

Elmero Robelli hit his cimputer and looked at the message.
[code:1:0183abab88]Izumoati has been nuked. War is at hand. You now lead ADK on Earth[/code:1:0183abab88]
"Well fuckityfuckfuckfuck! My God I'm head of a sub-district in the middle of nofuckingwhere!"
In truth, Robelli was 492nd on the list of succession.
Robelli walked outside his tent and called for a village meeting.
The village was small, only about 300 people. Nomads. All had black or blonde hair, blue or green eyes; most had pointy ears.
Robelli moved his hand through his dirty black hair. "Well people, we're in the midst of a war. I'm the leader of our country here on Earth.... Let's pack up and head out among this sub-district and gather everyone together and prepare for a counter-attack."

A massive sand wave poured off an object as the object moved upwards. Dozens more began coming up from the desert dunes. The Khristian gravfleet moved with the news, most remaining military units would be heading to rendezvous points.
It was only a matter of time.

FRSN Carrier Yorktown:
The entire crew on the bridge sheilded their eyes as the initial firing of the the pulse cannons from A Baoa Qu came in. However the fear the ships armor would be punched was immediately relieved as the armor plating repulsed blast after blast. However Fletcher didnt want to tempt his luck one bit. Moving across the bridge a bright flash caught his eye and then disappeared...the fighters! The fighters between the ships were easily picked off by the pulse cannons, but even this was easily remedied. However not before several dozen fighters were destroyed. Some died, some ejected their pods floating in space, however the indiscriminate fire meant that even these pods were hit as well.
"This is Fleet Command, aboard the Lexington to all fighters, pull back to a safe distance, the navy will handle this one pilots. Kidd class Destroyers, protect any escape pods. Those cannons wont hurt you, hold position and use your vessels as shields. All Cohort III class vessels, move in and engage, you are cleared to free fire your torpedos over."
The SDDN(A)-5014 Decatur-
Captain Noah Ungar heard the orders and nodded his head looking over toward his tactical officer. The Cohort IIIs remained the most advanced ships in the fleet, and not because of the weapons, but because of the energy shielding. The light pulse cannons did virtually nothing to the warships which speeded ahead toward the direction of the asteriod base. One after another the Shielded Cruisers which were redesignated Advanced Destroyers in the Federal Navy began to launch one photon tropedo after another. Space was suddenly filled as the 200 bright bolts of energy raced toward A Baoa Qu.
Admiral Fletcher smiled, he would really have to thank the Sunset Military for retiring the Cohort IIIs and putting them up for sale. Such a sale meant the Federal Navy had no problem whatsoever at the moment with dealing with such problems as posed by the asteriod base. Once in range the SDDN(A)s began to slow down, the forward facing phaser arrays coming to life filling space with the bright orange beams which lanced out toward the ADK base in intervals pulling shots at different parts of the massive asteriod base not really concentrating its fire anyway. They would pick the base apart piece by piece rather than try to outright destroy it.

As the gravships from ADK cleared the atmosphere, the two remaining massive orbital bases fired. Thousands upon thousands of heavy missiles and powerful energy weapons spoke as one, seeking naught but the destruction of the newest ADK surprise.
As for Battle Fleet itself, it was handling itself remarkably well, EI beginning to adapt and understand the shift in drone behavior, weapons well adapted for picking off small manned craft worked equally well on them. Flashes bespeckled the night as warhead continued to detonate among the ADK fleet and small craft, wiping the night with flame.
Battle Fleet was suffering little damage though. It seemed, with some many targets, that they should be overwhelmed, but as was often the case, greater numbers meant lower quality. And it showed, in the lack of damage occuring.
Broadsides roared back defiance at the pitiful fools manning the ADK Fleet, and the crap with which their government had provided them.

"Yes. It´s... wonderful, so to speak."
"Indeed. I heard the corps will move in."
"No wonder. It´s a brilliant opportunity. Especially now, with I4 finished. It´s only a small jump."
The two Cerio IntP employees were right.
With ADK earth being basically, well, a defenceless target, the chance to move in and grab ressources was not high.
It´s was unique.
And it was a chance the corporations would take.
Soon, a couple of them, nineteen, to be correct, begun preparations...
Materials and mercenary forces were brough to I4, plans were made, the training begun...
And soon, soon they would be ready. Ready to grab everything they could get.

Captain Farad was dissapointed with the order. With all the fighting going on nearby, he had expected to have been ordered to lead his cruiser squadron into battle, but alas, fate was not so kind. Instead, he was to babysit four Avioki civvies as they cleared up refuse from ADK. Mostly they were securing cryo-pods that had been set adrift, but they were also salvaging any destroyed ships and technology that they could. Farad thought them to be little more then carrion birds, circling the battle field waiting to feed on the dead. But he also figured that they had their uses, or that Command thought so at least, so he best do what he was told. The Mishima was ready, and his squad-mates, the Venice and Sacramento were ready too. The Avioki's were supposedly already picking up debris, and had requested an escort. In exchange for any captives from the disgarded cryo-pods, Fleet Command was only too happy to help...

The Khristian vessels wove and dived from the incoming FSP broadsides. Several ships took hits and a few were destroyed, but the thick armor belts kept them quite protected. Since their missiles were depleted, and weapon energy recovering....
Nanite charges were loaded into the missile tubes of the Mikkado class dreadnaughts. They fired the missiles in Khristian Stagger fashion.
The missiles sped towards the FSP fleet and exploded as close as they could next to the FSP vessels sending nanites everywhere.
***********************************
The massive asteroid station opened up with plasma weaponry as the NYNJ ships drew closer. The station suffered damage from enemy weapons, true, but is shouldn't be too serious.
*******************************************
Izumoati had almost fully recovered from NYNJ bombardment. Back-up power was online, weapon caches had been opened, troops were being enlisted, reserves we're being called up. Airplanes were flying, normal ships were sailing, workers were rebuilding.
Second strike weapons were active, ground defenses were active, millitary units were heading towards rendezvous points, and teams were searching for cyrotubes in the massive deserts of ADK.
**********************************************
The defense frigates in the gravfleet fired their PDL's and began to take out Federation missiles, and normal vessels fired their own PDLs. They sped along, making for Izumoati. 12 smaller vessels were destroyed by the bombardment, but everything would be replaced in due time.
******************************************
Deep in the Atlantic Ocean, two SSBNs lurked. They had just received orders for counterstrike against NYNJ. They moved up to launching depth, and opened their launch doors. 50 missiles, each carrying 8 1 megaton thermonuclear devices, sped up towards the surface. Not exactly ICBMs, but more of a MRBM, they went up high into the atmosphere, but not into space. They're targets were Jersey city and New York City, amongst any other large cities in NYNJ.
***************************************
Two old LO-7 Bloodbath superbombers took off from their platforms and ADK and sped at speeds of around Mach 7 towards NYNJ. They carried 46 Nuclear-tipped cruise missiles each, 92 total....
Many surprises await those who would assail ADK with WMD.

As Battle Fleet bored inward, weapons still firing as fast as they could, missiles and energy weapons carving into the Khristian vessels, the nanite missiles erupted into the face.
Farragut watch impassively as the view blanked for a moment, as the drive fields flared bright blue, redirecting the energy of the pulversation of the nanites on the drive field.
He pressed a button connecting him to the Command Centers of the two operational battle stations. "Prepare Death Blossom. Destroy the Khristian Gravships."
"Acknowledged."
"Understood."
As Battle Fleet roared ever closer, the two massive battle stations began to launch small, nearly invisible radar targets, 500 at a time, which joined them in orbit of the planet.
At the same time, massive grasers speared out from the battle stations, targeted on the Gravships. Their active defenses would not stop these. On each ship, one beam was allotted per fifty meters, and the energy to core a small asteroid roared out at the pitifully small metal constructions valiantly trying to escape them.

"In the name of everything that is Holy, we ask that you all consider your actions and make a cease fire! If not then everyone on Earth is certainly doomed. End this foolishness. The people of ADK called for help and then the New Yorkers nuked them. The fall of Colony YK246 was a tragic accident, but this act of treachery defies our vocabulary. You vile people! All of you! Damn you Terrans and your self-destructive ways! When shall you learn that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind? To us it does not matter who has committed this mass destruction. We want it to stop before any more lives are lost.
"Communications have been disrupted, along with trade. Millions of neutrals have died, and I fear many more are to die if we do not come to the peace table.
"I am not asking of this to aid our former fellows in ADK, but to aid the Solar System. This horrendous, heinous war has brought misery to billions of people and it is only the second day of the war. Can you not see beyond your steel penises? Why must the vision of all Terrans be limited to the present and not the future?

Decoys that had been held back in the stations, suddenly fired as the massive ground bases prepared to open fire. Filling the sky with jamming and false signals, they intercepted many of the beams. But five broke through against the first station, and simply pushed through the drive field as if it wasn't there.
Gaping wounds appeared in the battlesteel as the Station was covered in a complete blue light.
The same thing occured on the other station, expcept it was six beams there.
The Station EI had no idea how many the beams killed, but one thing was clear. The stakes in the conflict had just gone up.
And the EI would have their revenge. The missile pods fired. Thousand upon thousands of kinetic missiles, 20 to a pod, 20,000 pods, blew in scorching streaks past the atmosphere, headed towards the ADK fleet, and the massive asteroid base that NYNJ assaulted.
Then the fighters launched from the restabilizated space stations. A thousand blazing drive fields cut into the atmosphere, salvoing smaller kinetic missiles at every military facility they could locate.
More decoys launched.

OOC: Too lazy to log out...
IC:
Many Khristian vessels were hit. Those that could jumped as dozens exploded in a brilliant display of Death.
Death... This was truly what the world below them should be called Death... Death consumed everything eventually, even the powerful Sirithil and her empire of Menelmacar would one day fall...
But Death knocked at the foor of ADK, once again, hopefully it would be called somewhere else.
Several Khristian vessels made a short range FTL jumpaway from the battle field and began deploying gravdrones, graviton emitting discs used to crush enemy vessels in an artifical field.
All was not lost.
They formed a sphere around the Federation vessels about 25,000 km from the center point and then began emitting....
There was always an escape for every enemy, there had to be, all the Khriostians had to do was find it.
Escaping the pull of the Earth with utter ease, six MM/LTADs - a new variant on the old multi-purpose MISATS - formed a single propulsive MI field, hurtling into an LOS position relative to the combat between the ADK and FSP forces.
Silently, they monitor the situation; and through them, observing tactics, strategies, methodologies, and attempting to discern the underlying thinking behind them, was Tatya.
She watched, quietly learning; the deaths and, sometimes, humiliations that occurred before her a kind of school room, a learning field, a place to understand... and learn she did. Silently.
A blaze of brilliant white light announces the arrival of a warship of fairly large proportions; secondary flashes, followed by jet-black profiles, announce the arrival of yet more; some thirty flashes in all, followed by the dull blue energy-wash produced by EM-launched fightercraft bursting into the Void from the wombs of their carriers.
And as the mighty warship leading the group alters its course, gracefully executing a decellerative propulsion-arc, the blazing blue-and-white profile of the Three Star Sigil glares into life on its underbelly for several moments.
The MI fields of the warships, unified into one massive electro-magnetic signature, force forwards, elongating out towards the engagement area - and fired down the field is a clear message:
Allied Power of FSP and Associated Power of ADK warships: your continued engagement poses a continuous and dangerous threat to civilian and military shipping and assets in this area. You are requested to cease all hostilities and relocate to open stellar space. - We will deal with the current debris fields appropriately following your agreement to this request. If you are unable to comply, please forward the reasons for this ASAP, and we politely request that any such delay in compliance is brief. IDSS Syrnë Ahcarynca, leading unit of the 1 Stellar Battlegroup, out.
Hidden by the high-gauss communication, a single drone shot from the underbelly of one of the warships, heading in towards the FSP ships; it did not reach them. Instead, it appeared to slow down, grazing the edge of the gravitational influence of the grav-drones; the outer shell buckles, splitting open, and in a last gasp of life, the drone fired a radio signal - the signal was interfered with as passed through the g-drone ZOC, but it hit its target nontheless: a receptor cluster on an FSP ship. The encrypted transmission, impossible to decode without the correct keycode within several thousand years (discounting mere accident and siding with probability), is marked "EYES ONLY". The communique is brief:
Friends,
The Empire offers its support, should it be needed. We do, however, warn of potential extra-theatre involvement.
Signed: Empress Rialla ux-Rihad II
* * *
From orbit, a tightbeam laser delivers an encrypted message to ADK:
The Empire of the Eternal Dawn extends warm greetings. - Should ADK wish it, the Empire would be most glad to send military consultancy officers to ADK, in order to provide covert aid in your fight against FSP. Their atrocities shall not go unpunished.
Signed: Empress Rialla ux-Rihad II
[OOC: NOTE: Neither should be aware of the message sent to the other, although in FSPs case, awareness may exist that a message was sent to ADK. It's unlikely, although potentially possible. Tightbeam communications are tough to intercept, but tightbeam lasers lose coherancy with distance - upon 'impact' at ground-level, the beam can be up to a kilometre wide. An intercept is therefore possible - but decryption is pretty unlikely. NOTE: This is, potentially, a first-draft. If any changes are required, let me know via IRC or TG. I'll make the changes. :)]

Farragut watched both on the plotting display and the main screen as the wave of flame from Death Blossom marched through the ADK fleet.
He smiled grimly, and then, his smile vanished as the enemy ships did. Fucking hyperspace. The plot began to become bespeckled with small signatures as the ADK ships blinked in and out of their exotic dimension. What are those?
Then Farragut found out as the massive gravity field snapped into existence around his fleet. "ALL STOP! CEASE FIRE!"
The plot died, and the view vanished. Except they did not, not really. The massive gravity field had killed the faster than light gravtic sensors, preventing them from tracking the Khristian vessels. The gravity field was unfortunately strong enough to suck in all EM wavelengths, including sensors as well.
ADK had effective sealed of the Federation Battle Fleet from everything outside it, trapped inside its own bubble.
The precisely balanced sphere of gravity fields, of course, cancelled each other out, causing no damage to the Federation Fleet. As long as they stayed in the exact center, anyway.
Farragut stared at the plot, fuming. The Khrisitans could get away now, they could run. If they fled in small enough groups, went to ground, and were never heard from again, they would survive. Menelmacar and its tesseract-drive equipped battle fleets would not track them down to obliterate them. Nearly every ADK ship and space colony was liberally coated with the small ansible devices that allowed them to be tracked real time over theoretically infinite distance. But some would probably survive even still.
It wasn't like the Federation had wanted this conflict, after all. The attack on the Anglachel had started it. But the Federation had finished it, or at least, would finish it. Though Farragut hoped the Khristians ran for it. He did not want any more of his people to die today. He did not want to order more death today.
Quickly and silently conversing with Capella, the flagship's EI, he arrived at his decision. "Alrighty then. Since we're locked in this field for the moment, let's make the most of the time. Full damage reports, as many emergency repairs as possible. Capella, I want all the EI to compute the firing pattern that lets us destroy the drones as quickly as possible. A single shot should do it, the gravity should suck it right on target. Grasers and kinetics are probably the best bet. Communications, order by FleetNet Ansible any fighters not caught by the gravity field to run for home, the stations can probably protect them. Let's do it, people."
Then the messages from the Empire of the Eternal Dawn arrived. Farragut stared down at them, disbelievingly. Relocate the battle? He read it again. He then grinned as he read the second message. By FNA, he sent the messages back to the Federation. Home would decide what to do with them.
And so the battle, fierce up until this point, suddenly stopped. The same gravity field that prevented Battle Fleet from attacking and communicating (except by ansible) also kept them safe, for the Khristian's weapons were as trapped outside it as the Federation's were within.

A small, crimson New ArAreBeen ship slowly floated a safe distance from the battle. The reporters had found out about this conflict a tad late, and so the every precious first conflict shots we're probably lost. However, the inevitability of the war expanding was ever present. Therefore, the dropped their cargo of autorecs in the general vicinity of the battle, laser links and superluminal manifold buses bringing down the lag for the television viewer down to a minute or so.

ADK Mars

The remaining Khristian vessels, about 250 of the 800 that entered battle, jumped into hyperspace and left the solar system abandoning all hopeof ever returning. All within the solar systemwas lost, but there were endless possibilities within the depths of space.

A number of hours passed, and repairs were completed as best they could be. Now it was time to see if the ADK Fleet had stuck around to fight. The firing pattern was already computed.
"Fire."
The missile launchers lanced out their lethal ordanance, and then, the energy weapons spoke.
Then they did it again.
And again. And again, until every single graviton emitting drone was dead. The shots, fortunately, couldn't miss, as they pulled the weapons on target with their strong gravity fields.
And sensors came back up...
And there was nothing there but a slowly expanding debris field.
"Let's go home."
...But eyes had watched the cowardly ADK fleet flee. Eyes that could see better than any mere organic; eyes that could see in a great many more wavelengths. She reached out with her eyes, zooming on the tantalizingly small, fibrous tears on the small, cushion-like surface of the filament. Tiny strands waivered gently, twitching as they expelled the final vestiges of the wasted kinetic energy; the ADK ships may have escaped...
...but Tatya knew where they were going. Or, to be more specific and accurate, although she was not capable of figuring out where they were going, by passing the data on to those who were, she was sure the information would be valued.
And if it wasn't, there was sure to be some scientific boon from the examination of the tear... She fired off the data. Duly, she noted, it was immediately passed onto the relevant FSP agency via NIOUA, who also sent a CC to IDFI and the SNISI (Space Navy Imperial Science Institute).
