Introduction

Background

A proud and fiercly militaristic society, the Takians have nearly six thousand years of history behind them, and one of the largest and most well equiped and well trained militaries in Proxima. Its people enjoy a high standard of living, and every civilian in the “vollenteer” reserves is garenteed a job, while those who aren’t are turned down from all but the worse of jobs. It has nearly 100% of its population in the military, though that is in name only, as a mear 0.8% of its population is combat personel, and less than 5% will do anything even remotly connected with supplying the army, most serving in industrial jobs creating civilian goods. It should be noted though, that from school age *5 years of age* till they are legaly adults *16 years of age*, Takians are drilled martial arts, both empty hand and fencing. The age of concent is 16 for native borns, and 18 for forgieners, and a two year stint in the military is expected, though not legaly enforced.

Under the command of A’Grol, the other Clans quickly fell to the Mizu, but rather than enslave them, then leader of the Mizu clan brough them into his clan, forming the outline of the Mizu Empire.
