Edmund Dantes, a 25 year-old Ruler of a Nation, and numerous colonies, had been plagued by many dreams. (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103154&highlight=)

His title was Executor, one who performs an action, he had been considering his latest one very carefully. All around him his world seemed to be under attack,...Drakonia, his sister nation, had lost millions of innocent citizens to a Nuclear Attack from the former Tzar of Dyelli Beybi.

Melkor seemed on the verge of attacking and perhaps annihilating all of the Nusquam Esse Continent.

And now a Dragon that was the Deity of his people plagued his mind at night, telling him that he was of his bloodline, and that he must become the incarnate for him.

Edmund was on the verge of insanity, be it his love for Alyssa Drake who shared a bloodline with Maelstryx, the Dragon-God of Drakonia, or the stress of a the last few weeks,....the time was now.

He layed on his bed in the Office of the Executor, tossing and turning. Yet he felt that he was supposed to be here more than any other place in his life.

He jumped up from the bed and ran to his balcony the night air made his feet cold, and the cool wind blew through his dark hair, he looked up at the stars so bright in the sky.....

"ALL RIGHT! KUNGSHAO! DRAGON GOD OF WAR! COME TO ME! HAVE YOUR INCARNATE! LEAD YOUR PEOPLE! I HAVE MADE MY CHOICE!" He screamed, breaking the peace of the gardens, making several Guards look at him, though he had acted so strangely these last few days, it did'nt suprise them too much.

At first, like anyone would expect, nothing happened. Than suddenly, the wind began too pick up...slightly at first, than it began to pick up too an almost hurricane speed, shaking the branches out of trees, and bending those trees in same. Clouds, massive dark clouds, came in, and rainstorms suddenly sprang up..Lighting began to crash lighting up the city for miles.

Several Guards began to run inside, and sidings from the building broke off, hitting one guard, and windowpanes broke all over the building. Suddenly, Edmund began to levitiate in mid-air, his mind being drawn further from the surrounding enviroment, and he drifted easily into the infinite white void that he had seen Kungshao in so many times...

"Dantes...."

"I hear you..."

"Dantes...."

"I hear you...Lord."

"Dantes!"

"I hear you,....FATHER!"

Suddenly Edmunds mind became Kungshao's, he felt the memory and Experience of thousands upon thousands of years of life, melting away any notion that his limited mind had. The memory of the first contact with humans thousands of years ago, came to his minds eye, and the dozens of years spent with them, each lifespan taking only seconds.

This continued for what seemed like years, until Edmund felt as if his body was suddenly hundreds upon hundreds of feet long...he was a dragon....he felt evey scale and talon that Kungshao had, he felt the overwhelming power that Kungshao had...for a split second, Edmund felt what it was to be a God.

Than as the minds and bodies of Kungshao and Edmund Dantes began to merge, a state of perfect union was suddenly broken by both the Dragon and Man feeling the Enormous body shrink, and mutate, back into Edmund.

Talons became hands, and Eyes the size of an eighteen wheeler became the size of pebbles....And whatever those who may have seen Edmund on the physical plane, would only have seen him levitiate, and scream.

Suddenly Edmund fell to the ground....and collapsed in a shreiking hulk, as the Weather Phenomena passed, and seemingly so did Edmund, laying in a fetal position for several minutes, until three of his guards rushed in to check up on him.

"Executor! Are you all right?" said one.

"Call a Medic!" said another

"Hes all right! Hes getting up!" Said the third.

And true too the Statement, Edmund....if he was Edmund stood up slowly.

There was an undeniable aura of sheer energy emanating from him, the guards,...hell...the whole capitol could feel it....this was not Edmund Dantes that they once knew.

"M-m-m-m Lord?" asked one of the Templar Guards, all of whom were Kungshaoists.

ANd in a voice that seemed to transcend all layers of reality, soul and mind:

"....I am well, loyal Templar,.....know that this day, Kungshao,.....has returned!" said Kungshao/Edmund Dantes.

The Templar Guards looked at him increduously, he must have been insane, surely!

Than Edmund turned and looked to the horizon, and a deep grumbling began to well deep within his abdomen, it rose slowly, but surely to mouth, and than suddenly, in deafening tones and volume that no human could possibly produce came a great roar, that shook the very foundations of the Earth, several birds fell dead from the surrounding trees, and perhaps half, if not all of Tersanctus, heard the Dragonscream, that heralded the Return of their deity.

Kungshao had indeed returned.

Somewhere. Somewhere far off, the one known only to mortals as the Watcher, listened. He felt the trembling, he heard the Dragon's scream, and he knew. Kungshao, had returned.

Melkor, had returned. Eris, had returned. And there were others.

The Pact. The treaty was broken, or so it seemed. Some still honored that which was agreed fifty thousand years ago, but not all. Not all had then, either. The greatest did not. Maelstryx, had fallen into oblivion before the agreement as had Kungshao, or so it was thought.

For thousands of years, the Watcher had roamed the world. Waiting. Waiting for this, yet was this what he had been waiting for. Only time would tell. Time that was running out.

Wow. What a post! Even better than my own dragon awakening!

Meanwhile, seismographs have detect a strange rumbling of the Earth, as if the very planet itself decided to roar. Then the rumbling faded, and scientists looked at each other in confusion. The one question thay are all asking:
What the hell is going on here?

Morgoth raged. The False Dragon had returned, somehow. A resident of his dungeons for many years, the deity had obviously slipped from beyond the Melkor's reach. This much he could sense without leaving his throne room in the bowels of the earth.

The Lord brooded for days, never sleeping, until an order was issued at last to set a watch on Tersanctus and monitor Kungshao's return. A cloud of birds migrated across the ocean to roost somewhere in Tersanctus--they would report back to their Lord with their findings in a few weeks.

In order to act, he had to be absolutely sure first. He'd captured Kungshao once, and reckoned he could do it again. This sort of morale boost is not what he wanted his enemies to have.

Edmund/Kungshao's mind raged with a million new thoughts every millisecond, in these few moments of return on the physical plane, Kungshao was quite disoriented, here he might not be able to perform all of his abilities, not to mention he wasnt a Giant Dragon for the moment. Yet he still was in his dimensional prison as one.

He stepped around lightly for a few moments, the Memory of the last time he had too incarnate himself, 1300 years ago, coming back to him slowly. The limitations, the fears, the lack of raw power. But he still managed.

He stepped over to Edmunds desk, with his Guards still behind him, they remebered the teachings from the temple, of the last incarnate, and that Kungshao would return as many times as need be. But to be here when he actually came! It was an honor beyond anything, and they would be remebered for this.

Kungshao sat on the Chair that was Edmunds. The walk over seemed to take forever, but there was still many things too get used to. He saw a pack of ciggarettes and ashtray on the desk...and a sense of something came to him...familiarity he would have to describe it as.

Than memories and knowledge that was Edmunds came too Kungshao. He....wanted one. Kungshao lit one up...and summarily wheezed out the smoke.

One of the Guards laughed, and immedeatley shut up when Edmund looked over at him. The stare was a blank one. Kungshao wasnt offended in the least, in fact Kungshao probably could not feel offended in the small-talk, polite-sort-of-way. He was far beyond such things.

"Bring to me, the one named....Khas." Kungshao/Edmund ordered one of the Guards, followed by an immedeate rushing to the door.

Khas....it had been so long...Khas was three thousand years old, and the greatest Templar to ever live, Khas was also Kungshao's greatest friend when he was here on earth in Dragon Form. He had granted Khas eternal life by a request, not necessarily eternal, but the choice to die when Khas deemed fit. Now he couldnt even begin to perform such a feat....humans had there limitations...and he produce only so much energy through this vessel,..or magic as some might call it.

And in a few minutes, clad in his usual white hooded robes, and pupiless eyes, came Khas. For the first time anyone had seen Khas had some reaction on his face. He immedeatley bowed before Edmund.

"My lord! You HAVE returned!....I know not what to say...." stuttered Khas.

"Say nothing my friend, I am Kungshao Returned, it bids my heart glad to see your face again precious one. You have beared the burden of counteless centuries, to serve as my liason here on this plane. I should bow too you,...now....please rise before me, Khas the Templari!"

Khas arose before his God. His eyes seeing more han anyones could.

"Leave ths room, leave Khas and I too ourselves." sais Edmund/Kungshao.

The guards left the room in somber quietness.

"My return this time, will no dought alert him." Stated Kungsaho/Edmund blankly. Kungshao's voice beggining to morph in with Edmunds, as the Incarnation became more settled.

Khas nodded. He remebered, the great battle so many centuries ago...Melkor.

"You are too immdeatley gather and lead all Templar, Soon, chaos and blood will stain our shores. Tell them, tell them I have returned. Tell them,....to Rule the Waves, Rule the Skies, Rule the Land, for Kungshao Hungers."

Khas nodded. Melkor would undoughtedly send some spies of some sort, so movement would have to take place on a secret scale....that was the problem with deities,...they had so many resources at hand that most mortals could never fathom.

"And when the time comes, I will lead my people, lead them against the onslaught, Sword in hand, Fury in heart, and Blood on face, I will lead them."

Khas nodded again.

Edmund/Kungshao's eyes fluttered for a second.

"Yes, he knows,....even now I feel him....his anger grows tenfold with every passing second...." Kungshaos Raspy voice taking over even more now..."Soon Khas.....soon..." Kungshao trailed off.

He came. No one knew how he had arrived or where he had come from. They only knew that he was there.

The dark emerald green cloak billowed behind him as he strode quickly through the Palace of the Executor. Hood pulled over his face, none could see who he was. A emerald green staff was grasp in his hand ending at the top in a great taloned claw gripping a globe of swirling mist.

The Templar started to challenge this uninvited guest, but his mere pressence seeped of untold power. They knew they could do nothing against him.

With a little effort the Watcher threw open the twin door to the room where Kungshao and Khas confered with one another. Heads turned and then the figure spoke in a voice that was deep with hidden power and authority.

"Kungshao!" The Watcher addressed the Dragon-God as an equal. "How often must you defy that which was established fifty thousand years ago!"

Edmund/Kungshao looked at him. The Watcher stormed in, and he was unsuprised by the fact that he was here, but suprised by the fact he couldnt sense him sooner, his powers would still take some time to return. In theory, He may actually be more powerful than Kungshao at his current state. Khas stood fast, ready to defend the Vessel, Edmund. But even he wasnt stupid enough to strike.

Edmund/Kungshao arose, he looked at him straight in the eyes, unflinching, his two voices beggining to speak in unison.

"We agreed not to interfere,...yes. But there is a difference between watching and participating, you of all should know this." he looked challengingly into his eyes.

"I am here to lead my people. I have returned for the land of my brother Maelstryx, has felt the fire of man, I have returned, for the one whom imprisons me, wishes to bring his aggresion to MY people!" stated Kungshao, with growling undertones growing stonger. He even began to growl slightly the bass reverberating through the floors.

"Now ask me again to hold fast to my agreement, when I am needed. It is not a matter of honor, but which is the matter of greater honor." stated Kungshao his voice taking over more of Edmunds.

On a cliff in Tersanctus, a strange ethereal being sat, grimacing at the bad news. Without the approval of the Council of Elders, Kungshao, the Dragon God of War had returned to the mortal plane and taken control of the ruler of Tersanctus. Joining the two together and violating a law that had lasted for millions of years without change.

This strange being was Talisk, the Wolf God of the Hunt, Kungshao's younger brother. When they were chosen to become beings blessed with immortality and power, Kungshao choose to assume the body of the magnificent dragon, Talisk had chosen the body of the wolf, a deceitful, social creature. Now Talisk was tasked by the Council of Elders to hunt Kungshao and bring him back before the Council to pay for his crimes.

Kungshao, my brother, why did you do this... Why!?! You knew what the Council of Elders would do, why!?!

Still shocked by his task to hunt down Kungshao, Talisk did not know where to start...

Talisk did not want to hurt his elder brother, but he knew that he was swiftly running out of both time and options. As he mulled over his options, he discovered one that had remained elusive. The option of joining Kungshao in this new life. But as soon as he discovered this option, Talisk discarded the idea as too unrealistic. How could the Wolf God of Hunt and the Dragon God of War go against the power of the Council? This was mad... Everyone and everything was mad...

Sighing, Talisk slung onto his back, his bow and arrows and disappeared into the growing mist...

Two hours later, Talisk appeared like a nightmare on a mission of revenge in the Terscantus capital, bound to find and question his brother on his actions and if needed to bring him to justice...

Stopping at the gate of the royal fortress, Talisk stared at Templars who blocked his path.

Out of my way, you pathetic templars... I am here to see my elder brother, your master, Kungshao. Let me pass or you will never see the lights of day ever again...

The Watcher seemed not to move, but a clench of his hand was visible on his staff. A hand that seem to have almost greenish skin. It was likely that, that could be attributed to the emerald cloak and staff, but still it seemed to have an almost green hue.

"My Queen is not pleased with you," the Watcher hissed. "You would challenge the Titans, to violate the treaty as well, for your own motives. The land of Draconigenia does not need your return. The Bloodlines are strong. This is the Time of Mortals, not ours."

The massive doors to the throne room was thrown open as three templar were flew into the room and landed with crunch on the floor. Behind the flying templars, a dark cloaked man stalked into the room. From beneath the hood, the eyes shone with a deep crimson light.

Pulling back his hood, the man spoke five simple words...

"How have you been, brother?"

Kungshao, now completely inhabiting Edmund with the suprise of the unexpected guests. Returned the the hostility of the Watcher.

"Yes, the bloodlines are strong.....expcept for mine....should this one, Edmund Dantes fall, I am forever lost to this world. And while I agree that this is their time, ones whom hunt them, is not one of them. Thusly my prescence,...is justified. The Queen and Titans be damned...." said Kungshao snarlingly.

"If they have qualms with my actions, let them take it up with me....and not send their lackeys, (Kungshao looked at him daringly, his power growing) to do their work for them."

Suddenly the guards whom were standing outside, flew in through the door.

"How have you been, brother?"

Kungshao laughed, deep reverberating tones shaked the floors.

"Greetings Talisk! Many millenia has separated our kinship! And though I sense your true purpose here....it does my heart good too see you nonetheless."

"It seems my prescence here has alerted more, than I could have Imagined....." Kungshao said to Khas.

Talisk bowed politely to his elder brother.

"The feeling is mutual brother. Yet unfortunately I am not here to pay a mere brotherly visit. I wish we wouldn't meet in such a situation, but I have no choice."

Talisk crouched in a defensive fighting position drawing his sword.

"Kungshao, your possession of Dante's body has caused a torn asunder the goals of the Council of Elders and has thrown the heavenly plane into turmoil. I have been tasked to bring you back to where you belong. My loyalty to the Council of Elders insists that I complete this task. But my loyalty to you, my brother and my honor insist that I must learn what you are doing..."

Talisk's eyes became tiny slits...

"Now brother, you must convince what you are doing is worth it..."
Tersanctus
30-01-2004, 12:10
Kungshao looked at his younger brother. So like him in his lust for battle, yet greater sense of honor to control it.

"You may try.....but as in centuries past, you will fail. My purpose here, is to protect the people I have watched over, for so long. Mellkor himself knows I am here, and the agencies that run this administration, have had....unfortunate run-ins with him." Kungshao's deep, raspy voice reverberated.

He than picked up a gleaming Katana, with dual silver dragons on the hilt. He slowly pulled it out of the sheath, admiring its sharpness and inherent qualities.

He held it ahigh towards the wall behind him, and faced it, suddenly a flame encompassed it, lighting everything in the room, and Edmund/Kungshao turned and looked at the Watcher, and Talisk.

"Dantes is of MY bloodline, therefore I am he, and he, I. There is no in-between. What I left here on Earth thousands of years, is rightfully mine, and Dantes made a choice, only by the choice he made could I be here now." said Kungshao.

"Therefore, I need no justification in that matter. As for the discord in the heavens, let those whom are eternal, suffer a discord, for to them it is but a passing nusiance, what is a mortal lifetime to those such as we? A flash of lightening. Thusly you now know, and the time comes for you,..make your choice!" said Kungshao pointing the flaming Katana at Talisk.

Talisk roared, breaking the windows.

"Brother, why must we be enemies? We have always been close, but for the past two millenia, we have been separated, because of your imprisonment in the prisons of Melkor. Why can't we return to what we have been before?"

Talisk straightened from his crouch. Staring at Kungshao, Talisk sheathed his finely carved blue obsidian sword.

"Kungshao, come kill me... For me to fight you will dishonor me greatly. I would rather you run me through than fight you..."

With great difficulty, Talisk continued.

"Kungshao, kill me if you do not consider me as your brother. Honor is all I have now and I shall cling to it..."

Emdund/Kungshao smiled.

"I would not do this, any more than I know you to I." his voice loosening up. The katana whooshing out of flame to a normal state.

"You were charged with a task you know you could not complete, as fierce your stance is with me, I see you as you are, the Gods and Titans foresaw this, and perhaps they charged you, only too forsake you. As often as I have come here, the Gods have never been successful in retrieving me, try as they may, I would stand against them, and stand victorious. Think of it brother....what are their true motivations? You are my kin, my blood, I would never decieve you. I am here, yet in Melkors prison, what could you do, but kill the shell of Edmund Dantes?" Kungshao looked upon his Brother lovingly.

(OOC: This is turning out to be a very good RP... Good job everyone!!!)

Talisk sat down on the ground and began to cry pitifully...

"Brother, life is so confusing. I would rather spend my life in the wilderness wandering, than being one of the Gods. I wish nothing of this sort would have come to pass..."

Talisk raised his head. His crimson eyes connected with Kungshao's eyes.

"Brother... What should I do!?! I have two paths to follow, both difficult in choice. What should I choose?"

30-01-2004, 12:43
Edmund/Kungshao looked at him, and attempted to impart as much wisdom as he could.

With clarity, Talisk realized the only course of action he could take.

"There is only one path that will allow me to preserve my honor... My loyalty to you brother and my loyalty to the Council of Elders cannot be compromised. Therefore I choose to be loyal to both, but helping neither..."

With a fluid motion, Talisk drew a wakizashi from a scabbard attached to his belt. He steeled himself as he prepared to perform hari kari.

"Know that I am no lackey, I am Emmisary of my people, our people," the Watcher voice roared through the room.

Then the doors were thrown open and Talisk.
The Watcher was not so much surprised, as annoyed. He fell silent while the "brothers" talked.

"Council of Elders...Pantheon," the Watcher snarled to himself. The interference and argument annoyed him. More interference in the world of Mortals was not what he wanted. He had seen this world grow from the destruction brought upon it by the...Gods, by the Titans, by the Draco. He did not want to see it destroyed again, yet he had been given the task of watching by his Queen, the Dreamer, and by his people.

"Titan," he roared addressing Talisk, stopping him before he could do anything. "These are not the affairs of your kind. These are the affairs of the Draco, and we will take care of it. There is no need for more death. You do not know the effect you death could have. I would not risk the Return, over it."

OOC: A quick lesson in the past of Drakonian and the continent of Nusquam Esse. Note, that much of this comes from an RP of this Ancient Past, Several others (Tersanctus among them obviously) and myself are currently developing.

First, a quick lesson in Latin, the Language of Ancient Drakonia or Draconigenia.

"Draconigena" is Latin for Dragon-Born, it refers to the first human followers of the Dragons and Dragon-Gods.

"Draco" is Latin for Snake or Serpent, but also refers to Dragons. The Draco are the group of Gods or Demi-Gods that were the dominant power on the Ancient World along with the Titans, or Gods that did not chose the form of Dragons.

"Antiqui" is Latin for Old or Ancient People, it refers to the pre-Imperium peoples that create one of the first civilization (on Nusquam Esse) not controlled by the Draco, after the Pact between the Draco and Titans when both groups "pulled away" from the world, leaving it to Mortals.

Second, a quick background on the Titans.

The Titans were less numerous than the Dragons in the Ancient World, but in most cases more powerful, excepting the few Dragon-Gods (like Maelstryx, Kungshao, and the Queen or Dreamer as she is more often called). One of the more noted Titans is Eris, also known as Kallisti or Discordia. She is God of Chaos, Discord, and Strife.

Another one is Melkor (as in Melkor Unchained), the arguably most powerful of their number he is God of Evil, Death, and Destruction. Melkor created his own race of Dragons, which are not to be confused with the Draco. Melkor leads a faction of the Titans, which did not agree to or honor the Pact.

Talisk, would be considered a Titan by the Watcher, because "Talisk had chosen the body of the wolf" (not a Dragon), which would set him apart from the Draco.

Finally, a little background on the Dragon-Gods and the Pact.

The Dragon-Gods tend to be independent, while most honor the Pact, that has them either hibernating or looking on and not interfering in the world. There are a few who do not honor it, Kungshao for example only takes it as a...guideline.

Maelstryx, Kungshao's twin-brother, is thought to have been destroyed by Melkor, even though there power was thought equal. This there is a question as to his fate. It was thought that Maelstryx's defeat was due to his attacking Melkor alone and not with the support of his twin. While Maelstryx and Kungshao are twin-brothers, they are not alike in body or in spirit, but were great friends during their time.

Note: This is all from the point of view at my end (pretty much).

More to come, now back to the Movie.

Beyond the Veil, and beyond and yet perhaps within the realms of the gods, existed the Strangeness. It has always been and yet few could perceive it, fewer still know about it, and fewer than that worshipped it.

Why is this so? Perhaps we'll never know.

Within the Strangeness dwelt the Aspects, and the Aspects represented, for even perhaps they weren't sure, a Real Example of the Reality that dwelt everywhere. Or perhaps they were even the Originators of some of the Reality, having a hand in the Fashioning.

The Cantaloupe rested...

Why is this so? Perhaps we'll never know.

"ALL RIGHT! KUNGSHAO! DRAGON GOD OF WAR! COME TO ME! HAVE YOUR INCARNATE! LEAD YOUR PEOPLE! I HAVE MADE MY CHOICE!"

The Cantaloupe stirred. The other Aspects dreamed. Time, if such a concept could even be applied to this place, rolled on...

"....I am well, loyal Templar,.....know that this day, Kungshao,.....has returned!"

The Cantaloupe shook...

...heard the Dragonscream, that heralded the Return of their deity. Kungshao had indeed returned.

Why is this so? Perhaps we'll never know.

From its pedestal, the Cantaloupe rolled downwards. It bumped into the Octopus which, after such an Event, wrapped one of its tentacles around It. With another slithery appendage, it rapped the nearby Clam once.

The massive mantles of the Clam opened up, revealing Wonders that have yet to be even perceived, let alone seen and understood by any. Then, the Clam snapped shut on the flipper that always resided within it.

The flipper, of course, belonged to the Walrus. One of It's great eyes opened up - peace, serenity, insanity, and malevolence could perhaps be discerned. Or not. It was hard to tell in the Strangeness. The Walrus looked and perceived the Event and all of its ramifications.

"Grrrupt!" said the Octopus.
"Wheeeeeeeeeraak!" exclaimed the Clam.
"Oooooooorrraaaa!" assured the Walrus.

The Cataloupe was placed back on its pedestal, while the Aspects dreamed the Dreams. Neaby, a Spirit Fish jumped our of the Waters.

Why is this so? Perhaps we'll never know.
