With war brewing, the Imperial Government has reportedly sent a message the Department of Military to arm some 2 thousands ortillery platforms orbiting around the world.
The each hold anything from 10 to 200 REBs or varying size and power.

It's possible in persent time to have REBs, but I won't use it if you say so. I will still keep them armed if one of your "allies" actually realise it's not impossible.

well it is a bit odd. 2000 is too many. I have only about 6 sats in Space and most are for exploration purposes. Though 2 are equiped with nukes but i never use them and never will, I love to just use them for show.

The are Satellite sized and are pretty cheap.
The REBs themself generally are small since the actual speed of the them crashing to Earth is enough to wipe out a large area. Some are equiped with bombs and explode just above the surface.

This is why my nation has left NS Earth........too dangerous with all these nations having orbital artillery. At least in my new system I only have to worry about natural threats & anything I put up.

So they're mostly an orbit-to-surface kinetic weapon? I hope they have boosters on them, because all their momentum is paralell to the Earth's surface, and the accelleration provided by gravity on the way down ain't going to be that great.
I myself have 144 near-future tech orbital weapons platforms mounting clean nukes of varrious yeilds for surface-strikes and lasers for anti-missile/satalite/etc work. It's a good multirole design, IMO.
