OOC: the joys of broadband in the hotel room let me bring new posts to you at lightning fast T3 speed.

IC: In a joint venture with the Imperial Air Force and the Imperial Navy(Belems largest and most powerful branch of the service), the military has announced plans to develop two new fighter jets to replace the F-14, F-18, F-16, and F-15.

Numerous companies designs have been submitted to the joint commitee for review. The most promising designs have beeb submitted by Imperial Air Defense inc.(a subsidary of Lombardi corp. owned by the royal family), Belem aviation corp and Trinsic weapons systems(owned by the Grand Inquisitors family). The most likely outcome will to create a central subsidary company of all the approved designs and take the most promising features from each design and include them in the final project.

basic designs so far(OOC: I dont have any of my resources on my laptop so no final specs just basic ideas I have, final specs will come saturday night or sunday morning.)

Notable technological improvements
Imperial Aviation targeting and tracking network: The new tracking computers avalible to Belem pilots will let each aircraft individually track 20 incoming air targets for immediate missile launch. The computer will also feed the pilot prority on all incoming contacts relevant to the the pre programmed MOs with anything taking hostile action against the aircraft recieving top priority unless it is overridden by MOs i.e. in a situation where bombers are inbound and in range with WMDs to strike Belem Mainland.
When the aircrafts targetting system is linked with the rest of his squadrons the plane and the pilot will be able to track everything the rest of his squadron can see in order to better coordinate attacks. There is a selector switch in the cockpit to allow the pilot to switch between viewing fewer choices.
If a nearbly detection station, fleet or AWAC is present all nearbly fighters can link in to there squadron and into the main system and will be able to track a near unlimited number of incoming targets if they choose so.

The amount of ground targets the computer can track is still being decided on.
