Russian Forces has over 3000 fine working T-62's and 2000 T-72's (Early Model). Russia is willing to sell all of these for around 10,000 US dollars for a single T-62 and US 40,000 for a T-72. We are willing to give these away for a cheap price and remember... If its made in Russia it is powerful!

do you have a lay-away plan?
the great nation of pig slappers is kinda low on this weeks funds, but we'll have the money on Thursday...guaranteed!
We'd like to purchase one of them T-62's but first we have a few questions (a little kicking the tires if ya will!):
1.) Do they come with a microwave?
2.) How many people can you fit in one of those things?
3.) Do they come with optional soft-top retractible roofs? If so, could we maybe get it in an off-white Toupeish hue?
4.) What kind of speed can you reach with one of them? How many miles per gallon as well?
5.) Can we get them with 17" rims?
and finally...
6.) How many Club-Z points, roughly, would I be getting for this purchase. I'm about 14,200 away from a free movie ticket.
Thanks for the consideration, your generosity will not be forgotten. If you ever need any pig slapping done, remember who to call!

Well... Russian tanks arn;t known to be comfortable. However our T-62 needs a crew of 4. Gunner,Commander,Driver,Loader. It sucks up plenty of fuel so...

Tank crewman should be able to tolerate the small spaces in a tank.

The commander is most likely standing on a seat. The tank may be somewhat cramped but remember this... it is powerful!

Goverment Check is on its way to Russian Forces. it should arrive by 3:00 pm, 11th of January 2004 Ontario Time. if this darn blizzard clears up soon.
OOC: How the hell can they be powerful if a modern hummer costs 5x as much as the T-55 and 2.5x as much as the T-72? Are they made out of cardboard?
Russian Forces

Can they crush buildings? Can they pierce through the strongest of enemy lines? I don't think so! A T-72 is cheaper and can do those things.

OOC: Perhaps you didn't get my point...........A T-55 costs $1,500,000 and the T-72 costs 3,300,000 in RL. That is like selling a house that costs $300,000 for $30,000.

OOC:You seem not to understand that Russia mass produced these tanks and are willing to get rid of them. They in RL and in this game wish to create better tanks.

OOC: Hell I don't care, if you spend $1,000,000+ to produce it and sell it for $10,000 thats your problem.

I believe it is possible to acquire old T-55/54s for less than $50,000 in reality, but I am not sure that they're in.. fighting order. But that's T-55s for you..
Erm, I'm over-tired, tell me, what remains unsold? I've half a mind to bag some before the fickle Lusakan economy collapses again. I'm sure we can upgrade them (painfully slowly) at a later date.

i think we still have around 1500-1000 T-62's left as well as 1000 T-72's.

(Decisions decisions!)
While military expansion was probably the last thing that the unstable but currently promising Lusakan economy needed President Igomo was shaken by recent disputes with his Commonwealth neighbours. If Lusaka's supply of Olifant L2 tanks could be so easily interrupted the republic would never be the regional power he wanted it to be.
Defence Secretary Colin Olongwe sent a communiqué to the concerned Russian parties stating Lusaka's desire to purchase eight-hundred T-62 tanks from Russian Forces surplus.
Ever keen to avoid denting the fragile economic situation, Secretary Miyanda stipulated that the republic at least offer a supplement to monetary payment for Russia's consideration. Copper, cobalt, zinc, lead, coal, emeralds silver, uranium, tin, phosphates, iron ore, diamonds, gemstones, gold, natural gas, and nickel were all available in significant quantity should Russia be interested in obtaining some to the value of any part of the payment, though refusal would not make the original deal impossible.
