Wu Jiang Shang glanced at the small digital clock she had next to her computer. It was 3:55 P.M., in another five minutes she )and the entire Department of Marketing would be (in theory) off work and free to go home. Of course if you were in Commercial Art like Jiang was you were lucky if you didn't have to take your work home with you. This was her lucky day, the poster design that she was told to do was complete and had been sent on along to the Print Department a few minutes ago, Jiang took a slight glance at the poster she had done (it was a promo for the new PopPop Magazine) before saving it on one of her many floppy disks.
Jiang then turned her computer off and grabbed her coat, it was best to leave the cubicals a minute early to reach the elevator the rush. Jiang was the first person to reach the elevator when the usual crowd of people who were total clockwatchers began to nearly run to the elevators. The end result being that several people tripped and had a few bruises before they all made it, of course Jiang had to put up with being cramped in the back of the elevator for several minutes before they reached the ground floor.
Jiang flowed with the growing crowds of people as they all made for the doors to leave the I-Matro Corporation to the night shift. Jiang walked down the sidewalk of Beijing for a bit before signaling a cab to take her home, a glance in the taxi-window showed a woman over 20 with deep sepia eyes hidden behind giant glasses, dry skin, oily hair, and an aura of a person who could use a vacation. "I need sleep." Jiang thought as she got into the cab and told the driver to take her to Sleepy Hollow Apartments.
