A frigate came under attack earlier today from pirate raiders. Thanks to Fighter support however, the pirates were routed and then destroyed. Although the attack was twarted, this has been the first pirate attack in almost 50 years. The Parliament has met to discuss the new problem, and aggree on tactics. It is most likely that Assault Frigates will be used to escort convoys from now on.

Scouting vessels have spent the last 60 years searching for new planets to conlonise, and support our massive population. 2 Days ago, the scout vessel Helix discovered a new, unihabited planet, capable of supporting Imperial life. The planet has been named Vargon Prime, and scientists are currently testing the possibilities of 5 other planets in this system. A colony ship is already being prepped to depart for the Tydus hyperspace gate, to colonise Vargon Prime.

Ships of unknown origin have been sighted near Imperial Space lately, and colonies have been demanding action form the military. Assumed to be alien, these craft have been found to be heavily armed, very manuverable, and have been scanning cargo transports. The military has promised to increase patrols, but unfortunatly, this has not eased the colonists nerves. We'll keep you posted on this story.
