*Eastern Europe.
"Nothing but dirty, red propaganda!" insists Harriet MacAlacaster, founding and leading member of the Widows of Salvador*. "The 'People's Commonwealth' is just a brute police state run by a minority of armed thugs! Everyone knows a true confederation of states, like the Iansislean Commonwealth, is far smarter! After all, we do not succumb to petty dictators, do we?"
One Ms. Boxton, formerly the wife of Leading Rate Gregory Boxton (HIMS Andromache) and now a local leader of the Iansislean Democratic-Socialist Party, attempted to point out to Ms. MacAlacaster that the People's Commonwealth actually was much different than the Sopworth Igo-lead state that killed their husbands. She was quickly shouted down.
In other words: 1,834 in the world and 1st in a weak region.
(* That the Widows of Salvador shares an acronym with leading ally Walmington on Sea has lead to many alarming moments in the already bumbling Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Hehe, small world! And I am impressed to see Iansisle score so highly. Did they only distribute the tests in ..erm..good neighbourhoods?
*Reads a bit*
Ah, sent to random citizens.
..How's the postal service in the slums?
Darn, I sound confrontational. I think I'll just go back to bed for a couple of (dozen) hours.
Oh, and surely the outspoken comrade Graeme Igo is at the head of some sort of movement in The People's Commonwealth looking to ensure that the Iansislian government properly compensates victims of the war. Quite how such actions from Sopworth's father will come across in Iansisle is unclear..
Of course originally the plan was to offer compensation, but Graeme won't have taken long in delivering his "F*** that, let the cappies pay! They came looking for a fight!" and ruining the whole thing..
Good zombi-Jesus, why am I still typing here? Away with me!
Er.. continue, continue!
(Remember, sleep deprivation makes you smart! It may also increase the libido, send you on free trips, and cause your brain to bleed!)
Andaman and Nicobar
07-01-2004, 09:02
Andaman and Nicobar is ranked 17th (of 17) in the region and 105,602nd (of 105962 at time of the rankings being recorded) in the world for Smartest Citizens.
360th least..smart.
We've got them down to the, "show them a picture of a brown cow with a speech bubble reading, 'Taxes are bullcrap!' and by association they'll vote to keep President Brown in power" stage, which is nice.

..How's the postal service in the slums?
Pretty darn unreliable! I think in that story I started writing about life in the Industrial Sector of Ianapalis, the post hadn't been delivered to the hero's tenement house in a month and a half. However, it's pretty darn reliable in the neighborhood around Royal Standard University!
Darn, I sound confrontational. I think I'll just go back to bed for a couple of (dozen) hours.
Pah, I don't take my country (too) seriously. Slander away! It's nothing but the truth ;)

"Vicitms of the war? All two of them?" asked Sir Archibald S. Hughes, the Lord MacIntyre's slightly-more compitent replacement as Foreign Affairs Minister. While he certainly agreed with certain aspects of the Beth Gellern system, even appearing to sympathize with anyone bearing the surname 'Igo' was the same as jumping off a bridge while lighting your hair on fire in political terms.
"Insane, is it not?" agreed his assitant, Edwards, one of the few conservative holdovers in the new liberal government. "Just think, we lost - how many? - more than 2,000 dead at Salvador, and they quibble over one belly-thwopter lost to a lucky 12" shot." He snorted.
Alas for Sir Archibald, who had intended to ignore the situation, the WoS were starting a fresh assualt on the Ministry for payments, and he wasn't quite as good as MacIntyre at being bad at his job.
Goronkoth

Oh man! (I'm still here as I've three times been beaten to the bathroom, damn it!) Sir Archibald? I'm afraid that if I comment on the size of the planet again someone will break out into annoying song, but.. pre-revolution I had a minor character lying around, he never got to do much but he now resides somewhere in Victoria and Salvador and could easily appear again at some point.. name of Sir Archibald Igo (knighted by Prince Llewellyn, now king of V&S).. eccentric who frequently wears a full suit of armour and would be considered the black sheep of the family had Sopworth not taken to ..what he took to.

To what he took to? Shooting missiles at pre-dreadnoughts? ;) Or perhaps you're talking about the whole New Welsh Mountains Re-education Camps? We all remember what's most important to us.
Our Sir Archibald was not really knighted, but rather born into a barontcy in Weshield...after his father died, he proved to be rather rebellious, joined the Democratic-Socialist Party, and has enjoyed a succesful, if unspectacular, career in liberal politics.
Er, best of luck on the whole bathroom thing. Oh, and my apologies to the actual starter of this thread on the hijack.

The whole sordid shindig, of course.
You even remember the (uninspired) name of our primary mountain range. I never remember anyone else's geography and struggle greatly with my own.
Uh, yes, you may have back your thread now. I'm off to chase away assorted school children so that I might brush my teeth at last.. assuming I can remember where the bathroom actually is.
Daistallia
07-01-2004, 09:59
Daistallia is ranked 25th in the region and 35,401st in the world for Smartest Citizens.

It`s frustrating being so good in the world ratings and only second in the region, eh?
Who needs smart people? They're harder to deal with ;)
Slandaria is ranked 119th in the region and 98,159th in the world for Smartest Citizens.
Esamopia is the 3rd in its region and 27,796th in the worldwide rankings,

That would actually mean that your average population is even more stupid since this is an average. ;-)
The Belmore Family

We got 1st in the region and 1625 in the World
Kanuckistan
07-01-2004, 15:16
2nd in the region, 5000th-something in the world.
Not too reliable, however, as we have several privatly-funded part-time orginizations dedicated to screwing with the folks at the UN. The United Nations is seen as something of a joke by most Kanuckistani citizens.
