Dis-armarment of Thelas
Slowly, a massive armada left earth, in side of it were hundreds of ships, fighters, bombers, even the massive battleships that made up the Thelasian fleet. In the center were transports, loaded with K-Mags and other weapons of war.
The massive fleet left earth slowly, the computer EAs (Electronic Awareness) piloting the ships to a point away from Earth. Then, in a flash of blue light, they were gone. In another galaxy, the two massive world ships, Ortheri One and Two were sitting, mining out an asteroid field. Then, in a flash of light, that armada had arrived.
Official Record, Thelasian disarmament:
“At Three AM, Thelasian Central time, Fleet GRT-234 left Earth and engaged Slip-Stream drives, exiting inside the event horizon of a black hole, they were destroyed.”
OOC: Here is what happened, and the reason Menelmacar will not find out about this, the EA programs altered their course, realizing that completing the mission plans would lead to their destruction. Instead they headed towards the farthest non-Menelmacari Thelasian outpost, the Ortheri Bases, where the fleet is now hidden. Even if Menelmacar orders the Ortheri bases back, the fleet will remain hidden. Ready to be called back to Thelas if the need be. Menelmacar, you gave me the OOC hint, so I assumed that you would have told Netari to destroy the ships.

o-Viceroy Netari, Thelas Province
Where is your fleet? You were ordered to bring all Thelasi military assets to Daggerstar Transjovian Fleet Yards for decommissioning, under supervision of MIDF Warlady Naurelin nos Fithurin. The Thelasi fleet is Menelmacari Imperial property; if it is not returned immediately, I will not only take command of the Province and the decommission process myself, but you will be charged with theft of government property, and yourself and probably your descendants will be responsible for making full restitution to the Crown. If the fleet has been dealt with outside Menelmacari supervision, you will likewise be responsible for providing either full restitution or uncontrovertible proof. Of course, if the fleet was destroyed, there would be no logical reason not to have done so at Daggerstar.
Your promotion to viceroy was an expression of trust in you by the Lady Sirithil, trust which had previously been misplaced in General nos Dagnir. I pray that this trust was not once again misplaced. In fact, I am beginning to wonder whether any Thelasi can be trusted with a position of public office.

"We have lost contact with the fleet, as it appears, the fleets EA progams decided that their orders were invalid as given under duress. This appears to be a result of a program deigned to prevent a foreign power from using our ships against us. At the time we did not forsee that we would be decomitioning our entire fleet.
If you doubt what I have said, please come to Thelas and we can have a discusion about what else can be done."

Find them. :x
The fact you are telling me this after having earlier confirmed to me the vessels' destruction, suggests that you are lying. This displeases me; the Lady does not yet know, and she will be even less pleased when she finds out. Therefore, it is in your best interests to comply.
Further, you would not give your ships a form of sentience unless you had means to override it; such is foolish. You will find the fleet, and you will bring it, to the last ship, the last K-MAG, the last rifle, the last thrice-damned MRE, to Daggerstar Transjovian Fleet Yards, on time as scheduled for noon Menelmacari Standard Time on Thursday. If I have to come to you, it will be to remove you from your position, and to take the value of the fleet out of the assets of your family.

Responce,
"The weapons will be there."
Serveral Hours later, a garbled message came through from some place out in space,
"Emergency, this is Ortheri One (static) damage to hull (static), core (static) iminent, (static) lost (static) Ortheri Two (static) Emergency. Slip Generators mal-(static) portal opening (static) WERE BEING PULLED THROUGH (static)"
The message was sent on an ecoded frequency, Menelmacar, having Thelas' code books, would have been able to pick up a de-code this message.

"Please state coordinates."
OOC: Just too lazy to log back in.
IC:
Dead silence echoed through the com channel, on Ortheri One though, the bridge was a whirl wind of activity,
"remember commander, I want full com silence. We are dead, and let us stay that way, I don't want the Menelmacari to start sticking their noses where they do now belong."
"YEs Sir."
In another galaxy, the two massive stations allong with the recently arrived Taiidani fleet began to collect resources, and also, they started to re-build the Thelasian Fleet.
Far out in space, the massive armada started moving again, they engaged Slip-Drives, and arrived hours later at earth. Slowly moving into a position near the ship yards, they waited for Menelmacari tugs to move in and tow them into dock.

Because Siri wants him to. Isn't that enough?

no, no it isn't, but this should be interesting,

Serendis seemed pleased.
She stood in a tower on Daggerstar, perched near the very center of the vast facility, hovering deep in a rare tranquil (and more importantly, breathable) spot in the colorful, turbulent atmosphere of the King of Planets.
She watched the Thelasi ships arrive; she watched dropships transfer skeleton crews on and Thelasi crews off; she watched the vessels dock with Daggerstar, where they would be stripped of any weapons and military-grade equipment and officially decommissioned. Their contents would be offloaded and either scrapped or sold. The fates of the ships themselves were mixed. Some would be broken apart, sold for scrap. Some would be converted to freighters and sold to civilians. Serendis had wanted to mothball some - the Warlords had disagreed, and she had come around to their position. So none would remain in Menelmacari service.
"Big f*ckers, aren't they?" Lady Serendis commented, as Warlady Naurelin came up beside the Prefect.
"Indeed," Naurelin replied. "And crude and inefficient. My recommendation stands - not to integrate them into our forces. They are flying targets, their drives weak and obsolete. And gods, look at those flagships. Who in their right mind would build a warship that massive? They are unworthy of us."
Naurelin paused, and glanced at Serendis, asking, "And what of these 'Ortheri' stations?"
"They're still out there. I'm not sure what to do with them. They are a drain on Thelasi resources as it is. Serindë wonders if we could privatize them as orbital or deep-space colonies, or use them as forward bases for resourcing fleets."
"Those could work. Are you going to call them back?"
"Actually, I already did. They'd best be arriving soon, or I'll be giving Netari another comm. Or just plain sending a fleet."
"You should send a fleet now, milady. These Thelasi are slippery, untrustworthy. Hardly worthy of the name of Quendi. They have already attempted to deceive us."
"Probably a good point. I will send the ships even before I clear it with the Lady. I know she will approve the deployment anyway, and it saves us almost an hour. You will go, and you will take the Sixteenth as well. The Light of Elbereth go with you."
It was, thusly, only about ninety minutes later that sixty Menelmacari warships departed Daggerstar, vanishing in the blue and orange clouds as they rose out of the atmosphere. Once sufficiently free of Jupiter's gruesomely massive gravity well, their tesseract drives tore their holes in spacetime, and the fleet vanished from Jovian space, for parts relatively unknown.
(OOC: I'm going to ignore the living shit out of this 'in another galaxy' crap. It's just plain ridiculous, sorry, and the power requirements of moving two bloody worldships that kind of distance at any feasibly high speed could probably run the universe for a month. At most, it's a few thousand light years.)

Clicky-clicky!
OOC: Okay, have you ever watched the TV show "Andromeda"? The method of transport I use is "Slip-Stream", basicaly, think of space and time as a plane (just hypotheticaly) Slip-Stream assumes that there are "tunnels" below this "plane" these tunnels intersect with our universe near points of high-gravity (star systems, black holes, massive planets, actualy, according to Gene Rodenberry, who invented the idea for Andromeda, the Sol system Slip-Point is near Jupiter). Now, safe (as in, not inside the event horizon of a black-hole) are rare, safe exit points are even rarer.
The Ortheri stations use a powerfull gravitic feild generator to "punch" a hole into a Slip-Route, and then also to "punch" an exit route.
If you still have a problem with this, just assume that the ships are FAR away VERY far away, and are making it their point not to be found, it is highly unlikly that you will find them.
Far out in space, on the other side of the galaxy to be precise, a massive project was under way. Ortheri One, Two, and the five Taiidani Mother ships had gathered in an asteroid belt, not unlike the one around earth. Here, they set up a massive base in a small planetoid. Building living quarters and barracks for their expanding population. Then, on another asteroid, they built research stations, and then, by linking three asteroids together, they built a massive fleet construction station. Each of the asteroid stations was equipped with massive Slip-Stream drives, each of these drives had to have the power to move the massive station in between systems incase of a Menelmacari force arriving. The stations did not have any sort of inter planetary drives, as they would not need any. Moving the stations was a last action, but a necacary one in case Menelmacar arrived to with draw the massive stations, no, it was not only the stations that were important, but in those stations was held the future of the Thelasi fleet.
Soon, resource collectors, and controllers flew out, harvesting the resources needed to construct a new Thelasi fleet. These resistance personnel called themselves, “The Black Legion”, in reference to the force that had comprised the Thelasi Defense Fleet.
Soon, the scientists were given a new directive, a directive to build a powerful fighter. That fighter had to be capable of out-flying the M#s that EOTED used, yet the fighter had to have weapons capable of punching through the armor of the Whispering Voices Wisps, on top of all that, the fighter had to be able to survive a heavy amount of punishment. These directives made the project seem un-conquerable. Yet even then, the scientists got to work, designing what would be called the Zero Fighter.
In another base, designs for the next generation of Capital ships were being drawn up. In the past, a perspective bound to combat in a gravity bound area had limited Thelas. Now, because the researchers were both Thelasians, and Taiidani, these ships would be designed to fight on land and in space. The scientists knew that the Accelerated Projectile cannons were fine for small combat, but, new advances in Mass-Drivers would out strip them. Then came the second question, what can we use for anti-capital ship weapons? Yes, they had the cutting beams, but missiles were becoming obsolete, and mass-drivers could not back the punch needed. The answer came in the research for anti-matter power cores. Anti-Protons. Anti-Protons are a type of anti-matter, they only react with the Protons in normal atoms. By sending a beam of anti-protons at a ship, they could easily do massive amounts of damage. The problem was, that he generators for the new AP guns were massive, meaning that a capital ship could only carry six or so of the powerful new weapons.
The new ships that were being designed were smaller than their old counterparts, even the new Acharn was much smaller. New drive systems were being put into place, new technologies were being developed. New weapons outfitted upon the rebirth of the Grav-fleets.
Some of the small destroyers were being equipped with new shield systems. One of which was somewhat like what was used on the Whispering Voices’ Wisps. In the past, Thelasi ships used a form of shield, not a true shield, but more of a screen. Weapons fire could pass through it, but most of the energy, be it Kenetic, Light, Heat, or Sound, was absorbed, although in the process, the shield was weakened. Now, they experimented with a new shield unit, a magnetic shielding unit, capable of redirecting the Kenetic fire of enemy guns. This used the same force that gave Mass-drivers power, to render the shells of those weapons useless.
In the mean time in Thelas, improvement of a different sort were being made, with out in the past, Thelas used the adage of “A good offence is a good defense” now, with out that offence, Emperor Netari had started the construction of a massive sea wall. Stretching all the way around the continent of Thilis (the continent that Thelas sits on) and some defenses in Saudi Arabia. With out the strain of supporting the massive Grav-Fleets the Thelas military budget could more easily accommodate the construction of the defense chain, with out harming the actually Thelasi economy.
Even with the spending on defense projects, the military budget shrunk, for the first time in Thelasian history. Unfortunately, un-employment skyrocketed, causing many Thelasians to start looking towards Menelmacar for jobs.
Soon, Thelas International Aero-Space was attempting to set up a long-range, high speed, commuter service between Menelmacar and Thelas, using refitted Thelasi invasion transport. These ships had added creature comforts, padded seats replaced the bucket seats, cargo containers replaced K-Mags, ISMs and hover tanks. Turrets were taken off, and the old black color scheme was replaced by white with a gold stripe running in a circle around the body of the plane.
Factories, once making tanks and fighters now switched to producing hover-cars and space planes, grav-ship construction yards started to switch to making cargo transports and long range star-liners. It was true, Thelas was starting to transition to civilian production.
Deep in space, the prototypes of the new Zero Fighters were being tested. The first models, were carrier launched, with out hyper-drives, they were limited to in-system use only. One of these fighters, XM-13, was being taken out for its’ first test runs, in fact, this would be the first run of the Zero Fighter.
Slowly the craft was moved onto the mag-sled that would catapult the fighter into the void of space. “This is fighter XM-13 ready for launch, grav-stabilizers online, weapons online, shields online, fusion rod drives online, all systems go.” “Fighter XM-13, clear for launch, 3… 2… 1… GO!” In an instant the sled lurched forward, small lighting bolts shot between the sled and the fighter as static charge build up, then, the fighter based through the two way force-field.
As soon as the fighter left the docking bay, it turned, speeding around the massive Mother ship. The craft shot around, turning, doing first a barrel roll, then a hard bank to starboard. Then the computer kicked in, automatically redirecting thrust from the engines to increase turning rate.
“Alright 13, cut it out. We are sending a Nova fighter up there to compare.”
Soon the wider and slower Nova came up. The old fighter, once considered the pride of the Thelasi Air and Space forces was easily out maneuvered, and out gunned. Not only that, but the smaller Zero could take more damage than the older fighter. A complete win for the new design.
“All right XM-13, get back into the docking bay. Land, and get ready for a new mission, base OUT.”
[OOC: Sorry to intrude.... is this a spacefleet decomissioning, or does it extend to other Thelasian assets, like gravships on Earth and troop numbers.... the fleet that may/may not be submerged off the coast of the Lyong Penninsula, for example?]
yet the fighter had to have weapons capable of punching through the armor of the Whispering Voices Wisps
The mere fact you think Wisps have armour shows that your utter lack of OOC, let alone IC, research is doomed to failure =p
OOC: Spyr, I posted a while ago about the withdrawal of all THelasi units across the world, you mighit not have seen it, WV, I know the Wisps don't have armor, instead as I remember, they use an Electro-magnetic feild, and some sort of reflective coating on their outer skin. What I meant was that the shells would travvel at such a speed that the sheild would be innefective.
WV, I know the Wisps don't have armor, instead as I remember, they use an Electro-magnetic feild, and some sort of reflective coating on their outer skin. What I meant was that the shells would travvel at such a speed that the sheild would be innefective.
If you thought of the mechanics of that you'd realise speed wouldn't help :P Anyways, enough ooc posting from me. If you want to research Wisps you'd need to capture one :P or be involved in a huge number of fights with one, one of the two
OOC: Actualy, the speed of the round would make a big difference. THe feild will not act instantaniously, remember Neutons Law of motion, "And object in motion stays in motion", the more velocity the round has, the farther it will push into the feild.
