The woman dressed in deep navy blue was walking down the hall, bouncing as she went along. She was confident and proud, for she was Ambassador Nikita Korvana. Her upcoming job at the SCOJAN Summit was an important one, but she was interrupted while she was researching nations that would attend by a speech by Diminix authorities.

As she walked down the hall, the clomping of her heels echoed. She smiled at many as they passed by, and all could tell she was puzzled and very irritable. She came to the Presidential Office and caught President Weston as he was walking out.

"Mr. President," she said quickly as she continued walking towards him. "You might want to see this." Korvana had a strong presence in the Blått Hus, and even the President bended at her will. "Yes Nikita. What is it?" She motioned for them to enter the office, and they did. The cherrywood desk was tidy as usual, and she put a tape into the television across from it. As they watched she looked at him. After it was over, she pulled it out. "So, what do you think," she asked in her usual sassy, proud voice.

He turned to look at her. "I think it looks fishy. Tell your staff to start an investigation immediately. Governments don't release prisoners in bulk like that. Especially quickly or without offering why. Not to mention the police states, which Diminix seems to fashion itself after. I'm not buying it at all."

She smiled proudly. "Neither am I Mr. President. Quite frankly I would send in a special ops squadron, but that would be too risky, especially with the Summit coming up, not to mention your election."

He sighed deeply. "Yes..You are very right. I think I'll just have Minister Moore coordinate our satellites to spy on Diminix. That's the only course of action I can take right now, and I can't have you suggesting more. The Ministry of Defense is so trigger happy, and I have a hard time keeping them intact."

She nodded politely. "Of course. Well, I better get back to research now. Work's over in about an hour." They said their goodbyes and President Weston shut his door. He watched the tape again, and was extremely perplexed. So much for sleep tonight...

"While it is a very daring thing to say, I must confirm my beliefs. Diminix may be operating a high security prison somewhere, inducing mass genocide upon thousands. My administration has confirmed that names of 1,000 people who were supposedly detained. We also have about pictures of 150 of those people. However, I have not discovered any as of yet, and the families have neither. I am deeply concerned at this, and I inquire the Diminix government to offer an explanation.

"If this should prove to be genocide and thousands are being killed, I will of course take some course of action. All Lietuvs should be deeply worried about this current situation, and I urge the international community to look into this situation. If anyone knows more information, Lietuveska is offering $25 million for any leads into the current supposed genocide. Thank you all, and goodnight."

The President then nodded to his aides, who led the way out of the room. Cameras continued clicking, and the reporters in the room began shouting unanswered questions.

The President was thoroughly shocked. He had just gone into his room to rest for the night, and saw the information on the news. Good thing that Lietuveska had been saving $100 million for many months now...

He ran back to his office, and called up his closest ministers. Within thirty minutes, the Defense Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs had arrived, as well as Ambassador Korvana. They discussed the matter in the Presidential Office, staying up late into the night.

Finally, Korvana offered a solution. "Mr. President, I would immediately place sanctions upon Diminix, as well as warn them that further aggression can lead to a war. While it may not be the best decision politically, we have a place in this world. Now is the time to take that place." The others nodded, agreeing with her. President Weston sighed, and said reluctantly, "Okay, okay. Joshua, I want you to get the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to release a statement, immediately. John, raise the military awareness level to High. We need to be ready to defend ourselves in this situation. Nikita, you be ready to ask the EOTED if taking bodyguards to the SCOJAN Summit is alright. I'm going to prepare a speech and make a statement tomorrow. Did all of you get that?" Mutters of "yes" were heard.
-----------------------------

Lietuveska thanks the four men who have been forthcoming with information, and we are very proud that our efforts have led to the truth. However, we are very shocked to find that what we suspected was indeed true, and we will take all necessary steps to end such vile action.

Lietuveska is immediately placing economic sanctions upon Diminix, denying them our yearly potato exports. Also, we are cutting all diplomatic ties with Diminix and demand the following:

1. The closing of all prison camps in Diminix.
2. The banishment of discrimination.
3. Reparations in the form of legal tender to victims and their families, with a minimum payment of $5 milllion USD per person.

With these demands followed, armed conflict can be avoided. However, after 48 hours (Real-time), if these demands are not followed, a state of extreme tensions will be announced. Diminix must comply with our demands or face the consequences.

Vice President Joseph Van Arsden was walking down the large hallway where most of the press relations offices were located. His shiny black shoes resonated against the marble floor as he walked down, smiling mischeviously. He said hello to several people as he walked. He then took a left into the Press Room. Cameras immediately began clicking wildly, and the people in the room went quiet.

"Good evening, my fellow Lietuvs. The President has politely asked that I address the latest message from Diminix. We have obviously broken the Diminix government into shambles. I must admit that we are proud that we have the power to do so."

He then frowned and looked very grave.

"However, the atrocities that have occured are..horrendous. Thousands upon thousands have been murdered. We only know of 30,000, the number could be extremely high. I am very, very concerned, as is the President. I do not even dare to think of how they are killed, as it would hurt too much.

"I believe that this is a calling. We have willed a government to bend its knees, now we must will it to break them. I am demanding that the Diminix government pay five million US dollars to victims and their family members. I am demanding the release of all prisoners and the closure of all prison camps. If these demands are not followed, swift action will take place. I will rally our allies to help, and Ambassador Korvana will ensure that Ma-tek is informed of the situation. While the EOTED may not help us, as it has no obligation to do so, we will make sure that they are informed. Diminix will be given an extra 48 hours to rethink their decision."

"I am utterly shocked and appalled at Diminix. How could a government so heartlessly murder thousands, possibly millions? How on this earth could any sane government enslave innocents into a restricted area because of their religion or ethniticity? Actually, the question is moreso why, not how." His face then showed fury. "I refuse to tolerate such behavior, as does much of the free world. I am hoping that nations will see this as a signal; a signal that people still suffer, people still die needlessly at the hands of maniacs, and that all free humans have a moral obligation to prevent and destroy such behavior.

"I am ready to begin this new fight, are you?"

With that, he walked back out of the Press Room. He looked down the hall, and thought for a moment. This fight has only begun..

[OOC: Both communications are secret, and not known to the outside world unless leaked by the respective governments that the communiques are sent to.]

{Communique to Lietuveska, carried by MI-drone}

We have an idea of how to... deal with this. Ignore any news that you recieve that claims that the Empire supports the genocidal acts in Diminix... it is nothing but smoke and mirrors. The Imperial Executive Council decided in an emergency session last night that action must be taken as quickly (and bloodlessly) as possible.

We suggest respectfully that Lietuveska continue its current policy regarding this situation and give no hint that it has EOTED support in this matter.

We also request that you do not reply to this communication; we have not yet shared encryption codecs for secure communications between our nations, and so we do strongly suggest that this communication be kept secret.

This communique is a one-read message. Once read, the data disc on which it is contained will become useless.

{Communique to Diminix via MI-drone}

The Empire of the Eternal Dawn respectfully requests permission from Diminix to send observers into their camps to observe their great deeds you are achieving in purging the enemies of your state so efficiently. We are interested in methods of termination for a secret proposed program of our own in this direction, and wish to learn from those who so clearly have both the tools and the intellect to carry through such glorious acts.

President Weston looked at the message, and read it carefully. It was then deleted soon thereafter, and he felt sufficiently happy. What was important is that he knew that the EOTED would back Lietuveska..

Ambassador Korvana was preparing to leave for the SCOJAN Summit, but first she stopped by Weston's office. "Hello Mr. President," she said in a happy manner. He divulged the information to her, and she smiled. "I will make it look as formal as possible, so as to not rouse suspicions among other nations." "Thank you Nikita. I'm actually thinking about sending in special forces, or at least intel for right now. I do hope war can be avoided.."

With that he walked her out to the hall, and said goodbye. He pondered the latest message, and was very torn as what to do. Intel, or special operations?
