First off I'm new to this thread (sort off obviose :? ) and I am not sure where this sort of thread goes.
Now to bussiness, I got this sort of idea (an effect of to much free time) and I decided to see what people would think of it...
Basicly it would be a mix of fantasy and science fiction (though thats not really original) meaning that elves though possesing high tech, in terms of looks they would be fantasy as so...

Though the armor would be capable of protecting the wearer from laser weapons (for example) while their own weapons would be capable of doing serius harm
examples: swords and spears in energy fields,long bow looking weapons shooting lasers.
