Requesting Cheap Spacecraft

03-01-2004, 05:13
We here at Maniaca are thinking about really creating a serious space program. To start off, we would like to request a spacecraft, nothing big, just enough to get a few people up and back safely. Can anyone help us?

I wish i could but im in a pich in myself but my nation just getting off its feet. I would also like to inquire for a spaceship of sorts......but of course priority would go to maniaca for she inquired first.

I'm sorry for putting my order in also, please forgive me.
The confederacy would also like to inquire about if you had any need for speacialized cotton that:
1. breath great
2. wind breaker.
3. durable.
4. Even been known to stop bullets
5. and its relatively cheap!
6. Name how much you want, and i can give it to yah, since in the confederacy here we have practicly unlimited amount of supply and workers here.

We're good for cotton right now.

The Republic of Ithuania is in the process of upgrading portions of its Interstellar Defense Force and when spacecraft should become available you will be notified.

Also, several Ithuanian businesses have expressed an interest in finding new sources of cotton. If you wish, the Republic of Ithuania can send an envoy to open up discussions directly between the Confederacy of Lee (or whomever it deems appropriate) and the Ithuanian businessmen.

I am sorry for the gender mix up Maniaca.

I am enthused that Ithuania is interested in the confederacy cotton. I'll send a over to your nation to see if you like it or not. Hopefully we can reach a deal? How about it?....Sorry once again maniaca...i will put an end to my hijacking of this subject.

Don't worry about it.

Would a shuttle utilizing a main (and disposable) rocket for launch suffice?

An envoy has been sent to The Confederacy of Lee. The Ithuanian businessmen await a response.

Certainly. The smallest you could find, though.

(OOC: If you're not Future tech, just ignore this post.)

Why have a mere space program when you could have a space fleet? You're CERTAINLY large enough to have at least a SMALL fleet of powerful Space vessels.

The Klonor-Foe Hammer Custom Vessel Production Company, otherwise known as Klonor-Hammer Customs, will gladly produce an entire fleet of ships for you, all custom deisgned and custom built, with the best technology to offer. Let me fetch the link really quick.

http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110342&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

The waiting list is about a week, though, because KH Customs is being flooded with orders, but Foe Hammer Weapons, in conjunction with Foe Hammer Shipyards, will design a custom fleet, and we can deisgn and build them right away, with no waiting list.

Nah, not future tech. I just want a space colony in a few decades, I think with my research pace I can do that, I just need a jumpstart. Well, maybe longer than a few decades, but we're big, so I think we can get it done quick.

The smallest shuttle model has space for three astronauts, including living area. It has no artificial gravity and utilizes thrust propulsion. The oxygen reserve tanks will last for 14 days, which will be more than enough to take you to the moon and back. An additional lander module will allow you to land on any low-gravity environments.

Since it is an obsolete model for the Dominion, we will sell it for a mere $500,000,000 USD.

My country is space based but we can only provide orbital weaponry at the moment

How much discount is that?

Back when the shuttle technology was researched, designed, and built, the total costs amounted to many billions (adjusted for inflation). $500 million USD is but a small fraction of the cost of the project.

We could provide you with an old 5 man heavy fighter/shuttle, stripped of all weaponry of course. It sports a reusable, though out of date, iondrive.

I can beat all the other nations offers by a landslide!

In the Early years of the Torontonias Space Program, we mass produced a fleet of hundreds of now obsolete rocket models, its slightly more advanced that the standard shuttle in today's modern world, it is also capable of reentering the planets atmosphere.

Anyway, I can offer you these rockets for $200,000, of course since there in the TSP junkyard, the're basically shells, stripped of all machinery and electronics, but we can retrofit them for you, the cost jumps to 5.8 million each though, whichever you prefer.

I will take Rhinara's offer. How soon will it arrive?

The shuttle and the proponents required to get it into space can be shipped to any location within Maniaca via FOB Destination (OOC: title passes to buyer at shipping destination and seller pays for transaction) in one day. Would you be paying in cash or in the form of a note payable for 1 year at 5% interest?
07-01-2004, 01:18
I'll pay it in full on the spot, in a few briefcases full of currency. You can bring it to the spaceport at Funstocky in southeast Maniaca.

Giant transport vessels fly into Maniacan airspace at high speeds, slowing down as they approached the designated spaceport of Funstocky. Once provided with the location for deployment of the rockets and shuttle, Rhinaran ground crews worked with the hovering transports to get all the equipment in place. It did not take long for the advanced Rhinaran technologies to set the anachronistic shuttle and rockets up in the spaceport.

All the necessary information for operating the spacecraft was transmitted to the spaceport in both electronic and paper format, the latter of which was hand-delivered by a Mister Korval, who was also there to pick up the payment.

Sparticus Trowel was on-site to hand over the money.

Thank you very much, pleasure doing business with you.

"And a pleasure doing business with you as well," said Korval. "It is my hope that our nations will continue conducting such mutually beneficial trades. Do not hesitate to check with the Dominion for your future purchases." With a big smile, he prepares to return to his transport.
