Princess Arvanel looked out onto Elandor as her maid combed her dark, thin hair. "My lady, are you sure you are rested? I can inform Lord Aranon to stall the ceremony until the morrow." Arvanel looked back into the mirror, and said to the maid's reflection, "No, Marie. It is just that I have been feeling rather awkward of late.." She then realized something shocking, and her jaw dropped to the floor. She turned quickly, yanking the comb to the floor. "Marie! Do you still have that pregnacy test box?!"

Marie widened her eyes and began joyously laughing. "Yes, yes my lady! It's in the cupboard in the bathroom!" Arvanel jumped up and ran to the bathroom across the marble white floor. Ten minutes later, she walked out, smiling and crying tears of joy.

"Marie. We now have a House of Sosgordin."

OOC: I am slightly confused... is this a story, or an RP?

OOC: Sorry. It's more of an RP I suppose. *Runs off to add that to title*

LATER THE SAME DAY...

The white streets of Elandor were covered with rose petals scattered across them. The scarlet red against the pure white looked truly heavenly, and Princess Arvanel was riding beside Prince Thaseldan. They both had black horses with silver reigns. Cheers and fanfare sounded as the two rode down Lossegon Avenue. Lord Aranon, brother of Thaseldan, rode behind them with his wife, Lady Nauswen. They were the highest of the Arnima, which was the ruling council of Isla de Penguinata.

They finally approached the White Tower of Elandor, and the four of the Arnima jumped off their horses gracefully. Princess Arvanel led the way into the Tower. As they climbed to the top, they could hear the cheers outside. The people were thrilled, and most had accepted that they were of elven ancestry, leading them to be half-elves. Most of them would bear elven children, as half and half equals one whole. :P

Princess Arvanel approached the top first, and looked out onto the city, were millions were lined up against the streets. She spoke into the microphone, and all could hear here, as there were speakers scattered throughout the city. "Good day, my friends! Today is a day that is very special. Not only because of the official beginning of the Laniia Kingdom, but something else, far more important!" The crowds went silent at this statement. What could be more important than the leap into a new era?

"My friends and people, I must announce that I bear a child within me." The crowds were stunned, and suddenly realized what this meant. Some began muttering "The House of Sosgordin has begun!" With this, the ten million people gathered around the city on the streets began cheering. Even the ones who had stayed in their homes had heard, and began throwing rose petals out of their windows. Eventually, they all began chatning "Heil the House of Sosgordin!" Princess Arvanel smiled and waved to them cheerfully, as did Prince Thaseldan. They looked at each other, and hugged a very long hug.

ooc: I am also confused. Is this going to be a happy no plot story or is it going to have conflict? I would join but I do not know what type of character i should be.

OOC: It's a good story with no plot. I guess I just want people to pass their praises and stuff. :?

If you really feel so desperately emotional about this whole matter then I would be happy to include another generic little response to another generic little thread. No real effort on my part. I would ask, however, that you cease your bawlings of "No talent of his own" without bothering to research in the slightest, savy?

How was the comment redundant? The comment commented on the fact that there was nothing really worth RPing. I said that the thread wouldn't last and that Isla should throw in something that people would lke to join. I don't see how you can call that redundant, considering it relates directly to success of the thread. Scratch one.

It would be a shame if you cut it short at this stage, though ... I added my bit, just to add a bit of spice to the mix and was hoping that you, or someone esle, would develop it with time ... I had no idea beyond the little I said of what would then happen and was looking forward to seeing it develop

Nah ... that was meant to be a quoted response to our penis-waving friend, but I hit the wrong button and then posted before I realised what had happened ... I'm not used to NS updating that quickly and usually have time to correct errors before they happen ... Sorry for any confusion/offence caused

As you said, I tried to introduce a bit of conflict into the thead ... with the intention of making the story last longer than you suggested ... but this has all turned out to be, rather disappointingly, simply yet another unnecessary flame-war going nowhere fast

I was here for the story ... but there just doesn't seem to be any opportunity for Isla to develop it here ... So I think I'll leave now and pop in, a bit later, to see if there's any room for story-telling here

It was a comment. It doesn't have to. Beause it isn't part of the RP. The whole point is to tell him that the RP would be better if he would add some conflict. Hence it is not redundant.

I respond becuase you are (a) Intentionally insulting to my writing styile and person without good reason and (b) Because I am trying to make you realise that points other than your own are valid. And once again, this is Nationstates, not real life. My Nation is bigger and older than yours. Therefore I may use as many patronising terms as I like.
