Foe Hammer lays claim to NGC253

*{A message is transmitted to all nations from the Intergalactic Capitol of Foe Hammer}*

About one month ago (Edit: I'm f*cking the story up. I'm trying to do 4 things at once - Make custom ships for numerous people, create TMDG's, populate Systems and build up my nation. Forgive the typos), the Second Magellan Fleet was diverted from it's course to immediatly claim the Silver Coin Galaxy NGC253, a Galaxy in the Sculptor cluster. Data on stellar bodies will be released within the next couple of months.

The Intergallactic Space Empire of Foe Hammer hereby claims this Galaxy, and all it's systems, in the name of the Empress herself., and such claims shall not be overridden through the course of time itself. All those who are amicable are free to traverse this Galaxy, but the settling of any planet of any system by those who are not of Foe Hammer citizenship, or those who lack acquiescence shall be dealt with, whether it be through diplomacy or war.

The Star Kingdom of Slagkattunger refuses to recongnise your claim of an entire galaxy and the million plus stars within this galaxy. We will only recongnise those systems that are home to sustainable colonys of 5 million or more.

ooc:- Seriously it's not possible.

OOC: That's not how Foe Hammer works. We claim a galaxy, find the best star systems, claim THEM, and then open up the galaxy to others. (It's the first galactic claim, but I've got it all worked out. Go in, SAY you claim it, reap the cream of the crop, then let other nations have the leftovers. Of course we're not going to claim an entire Galaxy!) For instance, we're only claiming 4 systems. The Colony ship is about to arrive at the first system, and will drop off a sixth of the people onboard to begin colonizing the system, move to the second, drop 1/6th, etc. Since there are millions living on the Colony ship, there is still a considerable amount of people (2/6th of the orginal population of about 36 million) onboard the ship to help run the ship, repair it, keep the onboard economy going, etc.

Question Response: Keep in mind, before being resurrected in late November, I've been absent for about 3 months. What the hell is is RepProdMkVI, and why would you sick him on me?

Godmod accusation response: Yes, is there?

Give the man a gold ring! The Reploid Productions I.G.N.O.R.E. Cannon Mark VI (http://rpstudios.ian-justman.com/junk/CGgoods/IGNOREMK-VI-2.JPG) is a ludicrously vast probability weapon with predictable results.

Trust me, this just formalizes what I've been thinking ever since FH pulled a Praetor and said "oh, guess what, I'm back and I now have everything nifty that I never RP'd out." Again, just my personal opinion; FH is free to play as he likes but I'm also free not to listen to 'im.

Anyhoo, the link is to a picture; I don't want to break any borders. Lessee... eh, just to keep things succinct, add Xanthal (officially) onto this firing as well. Thus ends my hijacking; carry on.

Question Response: Keep in mind, before being resurrected in late November, I've been absent for about 3 months. During which time you have extrapolated the continuance of your nation despite not existing. Just an explanation of motive, even if flawed; as said previous, this is really more of an opportunity to make it official. Now ceases the hijacking and all... besides, it's not like we do anything together anyway. Ever. (and before the Ascension of Angelus thing is pulled up... note how I never directly addressed FH forces? There's a reason to that.)

I didn't do anything to extrapolate the existance. The only thing I did when I got back was announce that I was going to build more ships, but add some laser cannons and some X-wing style wings.

Even with our slipstream tech, it'll take you decades to survey the entire the entire galaxy accurately (since scanning is very difficult at high speed). Then it'll be years while you pick your systems, then years to plan them, then years to populate them. And what do you do about existing claims of native sentient species? I'm not IC objecting to your methods, but it's a horribly inefficient way to go about expanding. Besides, with a population of only 1.5 billion sentients why expand on an intergalactic scale? We're almost as big as you, and our entire territory is contained within a few hundred thousand lightyears. Spreading out just leaves you vulnerable. We could expand into other galaxies, or even other dimensions; but what would be the point?

We don't do shit for that, actually. Again, the most we do is SAY we claim the system, take the best systems for ourselves, and then let the others take the rest. No real defenes is involved, just fear of force. 'Tis better to rule with fear of force.

Foe Hammer hereby withdraws our claim to NGC253, but claim four of it's systems, Wraith, Halcyon, Hell's Fury and Exodus.

Other nations may now explore this Galaxy, and claim it's contents.

umm.. question... this is a whole galaxy... why wouldn't there be other life and species there? Wouldn't someone have laid claim to it a LONG time ago?

The Republic of Ithuania does not recognize national claims of extraterrestrial sovereignty, and is currently deploying its Fifth Interstellar Defense Fleet to the region to counter any aggression that might be initiated by Foe Hammer against the private exploration mission launched by Ithuanian citizens that is known to be enroute to the area.

Upon learning of these latest developments, Ithuania is taking its Fifth Interstellar Defense Fleet off of alert. However, the forces will remain in the region for the forseeable future to protect against any possible deceptive action on the part of Foe Hammer.

In related news, the beloved local mad scientist - Dr. Stupendous Exploratous Inventionous Ridonkidiculous, has claimed to discover a mini-glaxay in his back pocket. Apparent, by some freak of time-space quatum slipstream continuality, this "galaxy" materialized from a little understood phenomenon called "nothingness". The good doctor continued to elaborate, but frankly, the reporter on scene couldn't stop laughing enough to get the rest of it.

When asked to comment on the new "discovery", Sketchain officials simply stated that they refuse to acknowledge such claims and the procceded to ignore any more questions related to the matter.

NGC253 is a real galaxy, smart one. If you're going to do nothing but start shit, I believe the following is in order -

Feck off.

Yes, NGC 253 is an actual galazy in the constellation Sculptor, magnitude 7.1, approximately 25.0x5.0 arc-minutes in size.

ooc: I'm not "starting shit", I am announcing my intentions as far as this particular claim goes - in an quasi IC, on topic manner. Last time I checked, such an action was not illegal, nor particularily looked down upon. As such, you are more than welcome to return that gesture. Besides...such claims as "owning" a galaxy warrents such derision from my peoples. Sketch doesn't claim to own one, so how could Foe Hammer? (for those humor impaired......what I'm trying to say is the NSvesre obviously revolves around Sketch)

The Fifth Interstellar Defense Fleet has just reported that it has been fired upon. Preliminary investigations have determined the source of the aggression to be from a Foe Hammer vessel, indicating that Ithuanian concerns of deception on the part of Foe Hammer were justified.

The Ithuanian Relations Council is currently in session with Ithuanian Grand Master Kurt Weber in the capital city of Retzin pending a decision on the proper course of action to take regarding this act of naked aggression and deception from Foe Hammer.

All Foe Hammer vessels are currently stationed on Emergency Alert. A Fleet Rolecall was taken, and every single Foe Hammer Naval Vessel is present and accounted for in our home system.

Two words. Cascading Hyperspace Fold Drives. Okay, maybe four words.

And added to that, manage to not spot these hostile, powerful natives while you were at it?
Lack of sufficient Sensor readings. The research ship didn't take enough time to stop, look over the data and tell the rest of the fleet, "Guys, something's seriously f*cked up."

Perhaps someone who WAS in the area had got ahold of your weapon specs and manufactured their weapons to your specs, either because they liked them or for more subversive purposes.

Grand Master of Ithuania: The weapons that fired upon our fleet matched in every respect specifications of weapons known to be on board Foe Hammer attack vessels. Quite simply, if you did not fire them, then who did?

At any rate, the Republic of Ithuania is withholding all military action pending a diplomatic solution to this escalating crisis, but would like to see for itself the accounting of all Foe Hammer Naval Vessels.
