I work on a detailed tech-RP for new technology... no comments.

I title something "i n00kz j00!!!!111" and throw up garbage, and there's fifty replies.

Yet people insist that I should do the first. Playing by the rules gets no reaction. Perhaps I should devolve into 1337speak and broad generalizations. I might get more responses.

I have one suggestion for you, don't expect to get attention unless people know who you are. Nation like Slagkattunger can start an RP about cherrios and have 100s of replies. The best stragedy is to get involved in other people OPEN role plays and do it well. That way you cna make a name for yourself as someone worth rping with. Also, many nations ignore future tech.

Hope that helps.

...and yet you neither put the title of the thread you were refering to or a link to it in order to generate some action... Also, if you started the thread in the last week or so many RPers may not have been about as much as they usually are, it being the holidays and all.

One of the reasons daft threads get so many replies is that people are trying to convince n00bs that they need to hone their RPing skills. Aside from that you may as well wonder why things like Pop Idol and reality TV shows get huge ratings while the small amount of decent programming gets a minimal number of viewers... it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

Since Reality TV is so popular, then why is there a low response to signing up for my NationsStates Survivor (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109024)?

Maybe the right target audience isn't here?

If you post at the "dead hours" time period where most NSers are asleep, expect to bump more.

Or you just formulated the signup thread as 'No-one outside the US may participate'. I don't know the US-american TV shows.

Back to topic: I normally read tech-thread but don't answer because I simply don't know how to answer right.

I've gotten used to the fact that I have the RP touch of death, but I'm not gonna stop playing by the rules, so to speak. However, I do tend to assume that my various techs I've developed, no one has a problem with, and nobody ICly knows about it. Yet. Which is just how it should be, buahaha.
