The Socialist Republic of Xanthal is inviting new space nations to join them as independent members of the Republic.

Requirements of joining:
-Your nation's laws must follow the Xanthalian constitution, found here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=101823).
-Your nation's government must follow any direct orders given to it by the Xanthalian Senate.
-Xanthalian-affiliated vessels must be allowed free passage through your nation's space.
-Your nation must move to the region of "Xanthal".
-5% of your nation's GNP must be paid annually to the Xanthalian government.

Benefits of joining:
-Your nation will recieve economic assistance from the Xanthalian government.
-Your nation, if attacked without significant provocation, will be entitled to assistance from the Xanthalian Armada and Military.
-Your nation may maintain an independant government as long as that government adheres to the Xanthalian constitution.
-Your nation's government will be entitled to support from the Xanthalian police and Military if a rebellion occurrs.
-Your nation will be entitled to representation in the Xanthalian Senate by the guidelines set forward in the thread linked above.
-In the event of a disaster endangering your nation's people, your nation's population will be entitled to aid and/or evacuation as necessary.

Nations of the Republic may leave the Republic at any time, and may be expelled from the Republic by the Xanthalian Senate in the event of a violation of the requirements for members listed above.

I like to run my system with minimal interferance thankyou, as for defence my region will soon be forming a senate to discuss things like that.

I'd rather not have nations post just to say they're not joining... But whatever. I'm well aware that this is a very limited-appeal offer.

Still, the fact that they can makes it an Empire...not a Republic. As an Imperial by nature myself, I'm not saying I'm against it. I just thought people and nations would be smart enough to see right through this. However, I've been proven wrong thanks to a certain Trasa.
