The Empress, having received a request from Villa Toryism, had agreed to send an Ambassador to make the initial meeting. Always willing to improve the Empire’s international standing, Jennifer Fenwick and her aid, Matthew Carmicheal, had been dispatched to aid in the process.

Reading up as much information that could be gained before the trip, Intelligence had been working hard gathering as much as they could about this little known nation. She looked over the dossier, hoping that it was enough to start her off.

As the plane taxied to a stop, Jennifer grabbed her jacket, slipping it on, and watched as Matthew finished the last minute shuffling of documents, throwing them carelessly into his case, clicking the locks shut.

Moments later they were emerging from the plane, getting their first real look at the nation they were hoping to begin international relations with. Smile fixed firmly in place, Jennifer walked down the steps.

A group of men in dark robes have been seen around the area some only miles away from the Villa. They have been communicating via cellular phone, so far only one message has been intercepted.

This was the message.

"We can make a lot of money off this job Fredrick, even more if she lives"
"There are many who deal in the slave trade many indeed." "I hear the device will be armed soon, are they in place?"

The airport was teaming with security teams waiting for the arrival. On the runway itself there waiting a meeting grou headed by foreign minister Lord Randolh Churchill. As they did so the sun shone overhead bright illuminating the white stone neo-classical architecture of the capital and the marble statues that adorned it.

Lord Randolph Churchill moved towards the ambassador,"Please,"he smiled as he moved his hand towards the stretch limousine that awaited them,"We have much to discuss."

Following the direction indictated, Jennifer fell into step with Lord Churchill walking with him to the car. She looked over her shoulder, ensuring that her own people were doing as they should, Matthew a few feet behind her, carrying all relevent documents.

"The Empress Gehenna has high hopes for a successful union between The Empire and Villa Toryism." She took a moment to study his profile as they walked. "She hopes that a mutual understanding can be reached by both our governments that will be of benefit to all involved."

Lord Churchill was a tall, well built man with a neatly trimmed beard. He had piercing green eyes and kept his eyes on the ambassador as she entered the car.

While they drove away he spoke witha deep, gruff voice ,"You know your Empress has many memories from this place both good and bad. If only you knew. We have many things to talk about."

Jennifer carefully got into the car, listening to the man sitting beside her. She was a little puzzled by his statement concerning the Empress. She strained her memory trying to recall a time when Gehenna had ever had any connection with Villa Toryism.

Her smile remained on her lips, though her eyes reflected a little of her confusion. "I am sure that we can clear up everything during my visit."

Jennifer settled back in the seat, straightening her skirt, hand moving over the navy blue material. She looked at Lord Churchill, gazing the gaze of his green eyes.

"I'm sorry to say that I was a little busy during the flight." She smiled at him. "But from what I did see, it's a beautiful country. Of which I am hoping to learn much."

"Indeed."

The car pulled up in front of a magnificent white neo-classical building obviously the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Guards and soldiers surrounded the place and the door was slowly opened. Lord Churchill slowly, gentlemanly helped the young lady out of the car while they were both flanked by rows of heavily armed soldiers. They then entered the ornately decorated ministry filled with marble and white stone.

Following as Lord Churchill lead the way, Jennifer allowed herself a moment to glance at her surroundings. Here was a country that liked to make sure everything looked special. She hoped that the inside reflected the attention that the exterior of the building had.

Stepping onto the marble floor, hearing her tread echoing through the hall, she turns to the man beside her. "This is a very impressive place. Secure." She let her eyes fall upon the rows of security.

"We have to be. We used to be a nation loated by many and feared by many more. We went into seclusion for many years. Rebuilt the entire 'Empire' as it was and the had a change of government. Our army though still relatively large was downsized too."

They arrived in front two elevated large glass and crystal doors which two guards opened as they entered Lord Churchill's study room. Filled with all sorts of exotic dark woods and a cosier look with heat coming from a rather large gold fireplace.

"Please sit down," he said as he went behind his desk.

Jennifer walked into the room, eyes scanning the decor, as she took the offered seat. Making herself comfortable, she looked back at Lord Churchill, as he settled behind his desk.

"The Empire itself is slowly bringing itself out of it's own seclusion." She could feel the heat of the fire, as she turned to stare into the flames, almost mesmorised by the orange glow, as she thought of Tartarus. "It is always good for a nation to re-establish their standing, once they have removed the less desirable parts."

She smiled, returning her face to his. "Although the Empire has not being in any external conflict for many years, so does not have that kind of reputation to lose."

Lord Churchill sighed,"Reputation, what a word. It has plagued the former Empire for many centuries. In any case do you know why you are here? Please tell me what you know about Villa Toryism?"

Jennifer thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Like I said, the Empire has been 'closed' to the outside world for a time." A smile crept over her lips. "And the Empress prefers to learn about nations from a first hand point of view, rather than listen to the rumours of others. Which is my reason for being here."

She interlaces her fingers and rests her hands lightly in her lap. "I am expecting to learn all that we need to know about Villa Toryism from you, then the Empress will decide what happens from there once she has received my full report."

Suddenly, a man enters the room, obviously a servant, he pushed a trolley which revealed a vast array of Tartaran delicacies. Lord Churchill smiled,"Well I hope you find we are a very accomodating and thoughtful people."

Jennifer's attention was momentarily distracted by the arrival of the food, her eyes spotting the array of Tartarian dishes. She continued to watch the trolley as the man wheeled it closer, then turned back to Lord Churchill.

"You do seem to have ensured that we feel most welcome." Her eyes returned to the food. "Very welcome, indeed." She smiled. "Tell me, Lord Churchill, what do you hope to gain from this meeting?"
