Holy Empire on Religious Quest

30-12-2003, 18:13
The Honorable King Neron and Queen Lilith of the Holy Empire of Excelsioria have a small problem. Even though they are supreme rulers of a Holy Empire, almost everyone in their country is worshipping some different deity. There must only be one religion. Now the question is... which one? Buddhism? Christianity? Judaism? Islam? Hinduism? Satanism? Please, bring forward your suggestions.

Anyone? Hrm. No one.

Just do what Xrobb did, destory all churches and make the nation offically Agnostic.

You mean as in an official, state-sponsored religion?

OOC: Simple, pick the faith with the largest number of believers, and force everyone else to believe in it or become slaves!

Your government will not sponser any religion. We will destroy you if you persecute those of different/no religion(s) than the 'state sponsered' one.

Don't threaten me. If you think that me persecuting my own people is wrong, then you certainly can't persecute ME for doing what I believe is right, especially considering I'm not one of your people. I'm trying to make the afterlife (if there is one) better for my people, by having them follow the right religion. State-sponsored religions keep the nation pretty much devoid of chaos. If I go about giving people rights, it only starts confusion. For example:
All the Christian people, who aren't harming anyone, are being killed off by another religion that hates Christians. But it isn't the other religion that's killing the Christians, it's the members. But is it right to allow people to be members of a religion that exists only to hate the other? How many people will I kill by letting them live? They can be whatever they want, but that interferes with the Christians being who they want to be. By the way, which religion are you? I want to avoid it.

What's your religious make-up? We encourage the choice of Catholism of course, but it's really up to you.

The anti-religious nations are aggressive, aren't they?

Most Christians are close minded to every other religion but their own.

Don't be bullied into a pre-mature decision or backing out of making an official religion. An official religion does not mean automatic persecution of other religions, but an affirmation to the religious direction of your nation. We will respect your decision whatever you do (unless you choose Scientology, then we'll be amused!)

God bless.

Galdania has no religion. Doing so would violate our constitution.

In fact, all politicians in Galdania MUST be atheists, to avoid leaning to their religion's 'beliefs'.

We will allow a state-religion, so long as no one is forced to adhear to it, and it is not put out in schools or government places.

I feel that being an Atheist would be a very bad idea. If the other religions are wrong, big deal- but if you're wrong, you burn in Hell! Or get reincarnated as an insect, or never attain enlightenment, or are forced to walk the Earth forever, or something like that. Be careful.
