SLIPONIA -- A new era has started in the Athletic Paradise of Sliponia. Former President Ross, who had run the nation for as long as anyone can remember, has decided to step down from office. When asked about the loss of his Presidency he had the following to say:
"I had a good run, I pulled the nation out of an economic depression and in a rather impressive fashion if I do say so myself. Many rumors have been circulated that I'm very depressed over not being in charge, but waht many fail to see is that I'm tired. The time we've had with me in office was great, but it's time for me to pass the torch. That is why I will be hand choosing a man named 'Pakelika' to fill my proverbial shoes. I support all of his beliefs, except for one; which is attempting to change the Sliponian flag. His promotional flyer has the flag he likes, but as of last night, I passed legislation preventing the change of our national flag by the President. The only way the flag can be changed is if the people agree on it. And I know from polls that they are happy with our current flag and would never change to the flag proposed by Pakelika. However, despite the happiness with the flag featuring a Jayhawk, our nation has settled for a new flag. It is white with what is called a 'KM Crown' in the center."
Along with a new president, Sliponia will recieve a new group of advisors to be referred to as the KM Committee. More details to come.
