OOC: Do any nations remember the Q Virus? ATTN EARTH

Ah the Q-Virus...the ever-mutating, ever-evolving, near godmod virus. It killed its victims in 10 minutes by forcing massive internal bleeding and rapid decomposition of organs. It ravaged my earth colony (St. Petersburg/Moscow area for those interested...or living there today  ) and forced me to depart the Sol system for good.

The RP, which never had an ending yet is so important in SB history, has since been purged...however...the virus cannot be. The Q Virus, described in some notes here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2268229), was not engineered, but a naturally occuring virus. It destroyed my earth colony by killing all the people, and other nations posted that it infected their nations in the thousands. I'm guessing that with all those infected dead, the virus is "dead" or at least no one on earth has it. However, there is a cure...but you can't have it. You may read about it though in the above link. Perhaps events in the story or ongoing saga will let the cure go public.

I'm merely wondering if anyone remembers it, has people with it (locked up I sure hope), or has anything to say about it. My leaders escaped it by going to my moon colony and I know others followed. Any one remember this?

All Foe Hammer citizens that were infected were immediatly locked up in a contamination room, if they had not yet died, and were immediatly executed.

If anyone remembers anyone involved, post their nation's names here as well. Many nations posted losses.

We the fleetworlds have made many expeditions to planet Earth and have found trace elements of a virus in the soil around St petersberg which would clearly mean that the virus has not been contained

Would I be godmoding if I said that many Tu'lîmû and people with partly Tu'lîmû ancestry had an immunity to this virus?

Q-Virus... It sounds pretty familiar. Was it da one which turned people into frogs? No? Oh, what was it then?

no, I don't remember. It might have been before my time

I don't remember the Q Virus. It hasn't spread to my country though. Would be a shame if trace elements of the virus in soil around St. Petersburg made it's way into my country, providing excellent RP material.....

Okay. I guess that the Q virus would be sorta like the T virus from Resident Evil.

based off of...not a direct copy. The T virus...was too "underpowered" - it had a cure.

Actually...now that I think of it the Q virus originally had little to do with Resident Evil. Now it's beginning to take that shape, many months after I originally came up with it.

[snip]

Almost definately. You'd have to say something like those people don't have DNA or don't have body fluids and don't breath or something.
