The Emperor is dead!
Emperor Timotheus the 6th was 84 years 7 months 12 days old when he died from a stroke he had suffered two days earlier. He is the Emperor who orchestrated the move to the New Meritocracy, the son of Timotheus the 5th, who had undertaken the Dextremmikan Conflict, and the grandson of Timotheus the 4th, who had begun preparations to go to Sirius; he is also the great-grandson of the Mad Emperor Timotheus the 3rd, who took on the First Paripanan War; the great-great-grandson of Timotheus the 2nd, who had an amazingly long life of 170 years; and the great-great-great-grandson of Timotheus the 1st, Founder of the Republic and the one who won the Norse War.
The Nation is in mourning. His son, Timotheus the 7th has buried him in the Tombs of the Emperors and has succeeded him to the Emperorate.
