CNN News Brief

Confirmed by the White House and parliment leaders, the Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a new six trillion dollar budget for the Department of Civil Welfare, which is in charge of the nations' education and healthcare systems. Director Edward Presario of the DCW has announced as well that most of the money will go to bolstering Pilot's universal healthcare system as well as over three hundred billion dollars for renovations on hospitals in need. Portion of the budget funding will go to building new schools and improving existing conditions, as per the President Harris' goal to decrease classroom ratios to 10 students for every teacher. Other amounts of the funding go to self-sustainance and assorted subdepartments.

Quick Notes:
1 - The ratio stands currently at fourteen students for every teacher.
2 - In the last fiscal year, the budget for the Department of Civil Welfare stood at 4.2 billion dollars.
3 - The Department of Civil Welfare receives the most annual funding from the federal government, distanced from military funding by almost four trillion dollars.

(OOC: Did you mean 4.2 trillion dollars, since increasing spending from $4.2 billion to $6 trillion is quite a leap. :) )

Mintar applaudes their ally, Pilot, for their increased devotion to civil welfare.
