Evil Overlord Enterprises announces the development of a new class of advanced strategic/tactical bomber, the BF-7 Tamerlane.
The new aircraft is designed to augment the capabilities of the BF-6 Subotai, and is primarily designated as an anti-ship missile platform.
The Tamerlane is expected to be CBR and EMP hardened, and constructed of EOE's patented ceramic/carbon-fiber composite material to enhance its low-observable profile. Radar cross-section is expected to be approximately 2 meters.
Unlike its predescessors, the BF-4 Mongol and the BF-6 Subotai, the BF7 is designed to maintain its low-observable profile even when carrying ordnance. The new aircraft is expected to share the earlier aircraft's high speed and maximum altitude, and will possibly exceed the Subotai's 5500 kilometer range. Several conformal fuel cell designs are being developed concurrently to add range to the aircraft without sacrificing its low-observable profile.
A new class of anti-ship missiles (the ASM-9 Cuirassier) designed for deployment aboard the new aircraft has already been developed and is in service aboard EOE's current force of BF-6 and BF-4 bombers.
