Catholic Europe

Catholic Europes national sport is football. Not American football though (proper football  )

I must say that "soccer" is better than "football" -- it is less brutal.

Real football, I mean soccer, and not that twisted rugby of the Northlands, is common to the people.

The Nobles love to hunt with their falcons, hounds and horses...

Cockbill Street

Cricket and handball are the national sports of Cockbill Street. Football (proper version, not helmetball) is a good number three.
NEWI Cefn Druids
27-12-2003, 20:55
NEWI Cefn Druids' national sport is football (or soccer, as some wrongly call it), followed by rugby union and the minority sport of shoe flinging, which involves participants standing in a certain spot and flinging their shoes from their feet over the greatest distance possible. NEWI Cefn Druids shoe flinging team won the S.F. world series, though as they were the only participants, this could explain it.

The Oregonean Rugby Union prides itself on its Super 6 League. When the Dominion is large enough, it will host an invitational tournament that will hopefully be considered a qualification mechanism for the World Cup.

Nowhere else do opposing players beat the hell out of each other for eighty minutes, then buy each other beers afterward. Three cheers for the pitch-warriors and the sport of gentlemen!

Soccer, field hockey and handball (we are the world champions in it) are national sports in Rejistania. None of them are listed in the poll :?

The most practiced sport in my nation is European Football (why don't we just call them European and American Football to differentiate), but my nation is currently going to participate in the 2nd Handball Tournament as its first appearence in Worldwide sports and it will probably have a rise in popularity over the next months.

Football, of course, also known as soccer.

What kind of a sports poll omits the single most popular sport in NationStates?

Finnish Baseball (Not the American one, Finnish version), Amfitheater.

SEBCAG does not condone organized sports, and definitely does not support a particular sport as "national". The most popular competitive recreational activity is debate, and all citizens are encouraged to participate in state-run exercise programs.
