I think this would be a good idea for this new forum. Who is the current leader of your nation and how did they get there? My current leader is Tony Yayo. He is the son the first emperor of Diminix. After the death of his father, Tony took over the nation.

Andrew Arif, he was the leader of the independance movment against the Asian Dictatorial Empire. he was selected by his people even before the nation ws born. he was considered the best stratagist on there side, and still is. he was selected for his acheivments years before the Declaration of Esryian Independance was signed by both leaders. here is a timeline of his major acheivments;

1978: Rebellion announced.
1979-1981: small scale warfare on the ground picks up.
1982-1983: Rallying call sent to the capital, ADE Operations Base burned.
1985: Andrew Arif Selected as General.
1987: Declaration of Esryian Independance Written
1988: ADE Troops refuse to stand down, General Arif defeats remaining troops in 13 hours.
1990: Declaration of Esryian Independance Signed and accepted.
1992: Fall of the ADE brought around be the Treaty of Vlut, collapsing the ADE into 19 Indpendant nations.
1994: Official establishment of the Sultanete of Esryia.
2000: First ship built in Esryia for 60 years sets sail after being commisoned by andrew arif himself.

My first President, Monseigneur the Marquis Ste. Evremonde, was popularly elected, though money was involved in a big way. His sucessor, Hu Li, a 25 year old woman, was elected also, but she had "connections," especially with Ste. Evremonde. Sexual connections.

During the Great Civil War, at the very end, Hu Li attached a giant bomb to herself and piloted a spacefighter into a rebel starship, destroying the whole rebel fleet (and Bonstock's hopes of a space empire). In a transmission right before she died, she appointed General Gustavus Adolphus, commander of Government Land forces, to act as President until civil elections could be held. They have not yet been held.

Enodia's leader is His Excellency, Grand Duke Grigory IX Eisenmetz, elector of Enodia and Dependencies, Graf von Schliebel Insel, Baron den Bergenbauer, Patron of the Enodische Lutherische Kirche.

Grand Duke Grigory succeeded to these titles on the death of his father, Grand Duke Dmitriy VI. Following reforms undertaken by Dmitriy VI, the role of the Grand Duke has altered from that of an absolute ruler to a constitutional monarch with - still - wide-ranging powers.

Elected power is vested in the Chamber of Deputies (der Deputenkammer) which is headed by Baron Karlheinz Radzinkovic, often referred to as "der Alter" ("the old man", an affectionate term).

Perhaps this is very boring but Hangila Sede was elected after the independence and did such a good job in balancing the interests of different groups, that the rejistanian parliament even got rid of the term limits for the position of the first lentine.

The curent leader is His Henceness, Holy Emperor Elwood Zev Corran who came to power in 1990 at age 12. His parents, Leo and Bria Corran were killed by a Construction workers Union who protested about the policy prohibiting people to live on the 4 Divine Druidic Religion Islands which had been uninhabited since the last monk left almost 1000 years ago. The islands were getting overpopulated and the Constructionists wanted to build there. A rebellion ensued, but Elwood rounded up support and quelled it fairly quickly.

Recently he abdicated the throne after the LETI war a few months ago, but was voted back in as Holy Emperor in an election overseen by his personal advisor, Luna Althena. Since then he has ruled over the nation, allowing them a decent amount of freedom, but allowing absolutely no political freedom.

Our current leader is Pope Pius XIII. He got there by being elected by our last Pope, Pope Jamie II. He has ruled for over 30 years now.

In a recent scandal, former Committee Chairman Lindsay Demetrius was found overriding parliamentarism by discussing matters of the state privately with foreign dignitaries. Naturally, she was faced with immediate trials for corruption. As the legal process was still underway, a new general election was held.

Using the public excitement about the space program, former Security Forces superior officer Gene Zlotoff squared off against a newcomer in the political arena: Valentin Akagi, an independent journalist.
Surprisingly, Zlotoff's militant stance was rejected by the public as he suffered several defeats in public debate against Akagi. The newspaperman, known as a radical transhumanist, eventually got 65% of the votes.

The start of Akagi's term was marked by several techno-positive strides. The all-seeing EyeDee surveillance system was given access to the public information network and upgraded with artificial intelligence. So far, his policies have caused alarm among even the more techno-tolerant citizens.

Ross Bearman, current prime minister of Kazaakisthan, Tai Pyro cheif of defence and 10 other men trained as special forces for seventeen years, while annarchy took hold of the nation. Then they took power away from anarchy and installed themselves as goverment.

VP to Robert Graystone, who was ending his term. 3 months before the election, the Soverignity Front began an uprising, and Graystone was killed in an attack on his motorcade. Dleroes quickly responded by mobilizing the military and rooting out the rebels. At the election time, she won in a landslide victory for her handling of the conflict.

My current leader Reilock Coratha was a disillusioned millitary official in another nation. After leaving with the remaining members of his squad after a "disagreement " about his resignation, they happened on what was a small series of towns with no defined leadership. Seeing the locals argue over the most petty things and not getting anything done. Reilock stepped up and took charge of these Foolish Pesants, with no argeument as he and his squad were the only ones with guns.

When our contry was first formed the debate arose on how we should choose a leader. One brave stood up and suggested a thumb wrestling contest. A loud roar went up among those present and from that day forth on the third Wentuesday of ever 29 1/2 years, a nation wide contest thumb wrestling contest is held.

Emperor Quimby won the first such contest in a grueling 5 hour match against Willy the Groundskeeper.

Fuhrer Daniel Baker is the current leader of Germany.

Although British decent, the Fuhrer still has German blood in him. His great grandfather moved to Germany in 1921 after the great war.

The current Fuhrer's father was in the Lufftwaffe for thirty nine years. He worked his way up and became second in command of the entire Reich. But in 1960, cancer overan him and Daniel took his place as S.I.C .. When the former Fuhrer, Rudolph Hess died in 1979, Daniel took his place and has been Fuhrer ever since.

Alexi Kriskev -- Prime Minister: Came to power in radical ascention (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=92067&highlight=) on the small island of Gyreinos in the Black Sea, where nearly 5 million people were living with no form of government. Kriskev brought a communist rule to the island, and thought Gyreinos could be the first communist country that was democratic. Unfortunatly, that didn't work, so he made himself dictator. Surprisingly, there was supposed to be an election for Prime Minister only two months later.

Honourable President Gagarin Vansare -- Lead of New Democratic Party

Gagarin Vansare was born to a poor family in 1966 - just when the Omzian Third Civil War was over, and before the Socialism Revolution ended. As he grew up, he worked hard so that he can be an accountant at his local government office, and got graduated from Seavansoa-Yon High School, being the top two with the highest mark in the Year End Exam. As he got an "Reward of Entry" from the Osaria University, he chose to study law instead -- he wanted to be a lawyer.

After he graduated, he was happy with his job as a State Court Jury Team member, until one friend of him suggested, "get involved in politics". he thought about it, and finally joined the Omzian Progressive Democratic Party -- now New Democratic Party -- at the age of 28. As a junior member, nonetheless he stood out in party events, and gained the attention of the leaders as he stepped up the ladder. Years later, during the Party Reform of 2011, he finally gained the role of leader of the Party. During the leadership role, he modernized and improved the party's policies and reputation, in which he fought hard in the 23rd Federal Election, but failed to beat the Socialist Party, although gaining about 22% popularity -- a rare for any party except the famed Socialists.

However, he launched the "Blooming Flowers" campaign 2 years leader, again improving the party's images. He attended several public speeches, gaining the attention of the citizens -- especially in big cities. Although his approach is not to declare an "all out war" with the Socialists or other competitors, he gained many places in people's minds. And on the 24th Federal Election, it succeeded. Winning 39% majority, he finally beat the Socialists, and winning the election. He was sworn in office 2 days later. He ended the domination of the 25-years Socialists Party.

"I just couldn't believe it," he said in a recent interview. "it is a real dream to serve in politics, plus the people as the President."

The current Prime Minister Select of Alsatia is Seamus Marquez-Yoder. He is the first PMS and is the son of the last Parson(leader with full Amish blood). Seamus was the product of a union between Josiah Yoder(the Parson) and a mixed blood Irish-Basque girl(Ava Maria O'Grady-Marquez) who worked for Josiah's house staff. As Josiah never married and Seamus was his only male offspring(he also fathered three daughters both with Ava Maria and Kewanna Erudite(also of mixed blood, Urukhai(mountain people of the Northern Provinceswho had married/interbred with Amish explorers as soon as they arrived in 1703)/Irish(her lineage could be traced back to Erin O'Fallon, the Irish sea captain who had a wee bit too much ale and became lost while looking for North America).
And as was the tradition of "Der Parson" being male and of full Amish blood it came to an end with the ascent of Seamus to the position of Prime Minister Select. Seamus has brought many improvements to Alsatia he has also included his three sisters in the decision making process much to the disdain of The Amish Council(known affectionately as Der Elders) who view some of his improvements and other legislations as radical ideas but they dare not question him as he is the son of Der Parson and he has also garnered the affection of the people in the street.

Beth Gellert hasn't had a national leader since Sopworth Igo was quietly removed from the Premiership shortly after the revolution which birthed The People's Commonwealth.

There does exist the monster bureaucracy of the Commonwealth Professional Civil Service, of course, and the attached Commonwealth Consuls, but most decisions are made through the Local, Regional, and Final Senates.

ASW typically held democratic elections for a time. One of them was rigged so that General D'Armand Shacklar won. Then, a few years ago, the nation was attacked by terrorists in hijacked planes that crashed into their International Trading Outlet (ITO) and Center of Military Intelligence (CMI). The CMI deemed it necessary to inform the president at the time, an ex-general by the name of D'Armand Shacklar that he should declare war on a small Middle Eastern country while the nation was whipped up in a patriotic frenzy, and at the same time sell many mini-ASW flags. So the invasion went underway, and eventually, ASW decided to attack a second Middle Eastern country who they deemed a threat to world security because they possessed a "WMD stock", which was of course, just a lie to the UN so their attack would be justified. Typically, ASW had a SIGNIFICANTLY larger weapons stock but invaded anyways. After overthrowing the native ruler and capturing him close to the next election period so as to assist in rigging the election, they decided to pull away the public's views on what was transpiring by using the excuse and coverup of gay marriage. So what about those gay marriages?

Anyways, off in their provinces, governors who were former actors were being elected strategically through rigged elections to gut the cores out of public education and health care, leaving the poor unequivocally stupid and ill. In the end, the people grew so sheep-like and passive, that they decided that Shacklar could do them no harm, as in vain, a conservative frenzy took over the nation forcing them into the very first stages of fascism; that being conservatism. Slowly and steadily, secret police and military soldiers began roaming the streets of the many ghettos, and people began living their whole lives in factoties. In the end, what was once a proud democratic nation was now a fascist police state controlled by the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief, General, and Dictator D'Armand Shacklar.

Whenever a politically active person reaches the age of 30, s/he is allowed to run for the position of Führer(in) if the position is open. That person is elected for life, or until s/he steps down or is overthrown by the elite Citizen Guard, should the people will it so. Hans Müller happened to win the most recent elections, and so presides as the current Führer.

A Concise Biography of General Liu

Note: Contains theories about the NS world's history through the views of the author. Not too much is know about General Liu.

Introduction:

The leader of the Armed Republic of Sino is General Liu, who heads the Military Junta and is the Supreme Commander of the ARSCF (Armed Republic of Sino Combined Forces). General Liu is in his early 30s and unmarried. He leads a moralistic and ascetic life-style, participates actively in politics, warfare and matters regarding Chinese nationalism.

Childhood (1998-2011):

Born as Liu Tongzhong (meaning Liu who unites China) in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, Liu was born in the PLA Foshan 3rd Hospital in 1998. Son to a father who is a mechanical engineering lecturer of the local university and a mother who had a small management position in an everyday goods manufacturing plant. Both of his grandfathers served in the ROCA (Republic of China Army) during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) but later defected to the communists. Both of his grandfathers were deceased by his age of six.

At the age of five, the Liu family moved to a small English-speaking nation. Liu's father found a new position as professor of a university. Liu had a boyhood of loneliness as he was considered too quiet and seldom spoke. At the best of times, his parents tried not to neglect him. Often they were at work. Leaving the young boy to live and care for himself. Liu had taken an intense interest in natural science (at an early age) from his father and decided to pursue a career in mechanical engineering by the age of ten. In his teens, the young Liu had taken an intense interest of shooting (he was a marksman by the age of sixteen) and from it, an intense interest in weapons and the military (especially the army). He was especially interested in becoming a sniper. He barely knew his veteran grandfathers and therefore became fascinated about their soldering careers throughouut his teenage years.

The Young Militarist (2011-2015):

During his high school years, Liu studied much about history and this made him admire and agree to some of the views of Hitler. The reason for this strange interest was that Liu, under the racism of a white-dominated society, had created and moulded the Chinese nationalist from within. He had felt a paranoia that the Chinese race was dying as many nations were attempting to destroy it and that his compatriots no nothing of this plot. This nationalism, combined with his militarism (the boy had admired the various military powers of the past centuries) made him a militant nationalist. He had admired Hitler's nationalism (not racism) in regards to uniting all speakers of the same language (Hitler believed that all German-speaking peoples should be united, as seen in the Anschluss with Austrian and the annexation of the Sudentenland from Czechoslovakia, both events in 1938. Liu believed that the downtrodden Chinese should also be united). he also admired Hitler's efficiency in rebuilding the damaged Germany. But he was quiet and therefore, never spoke much about his views. Despite his status as a citizen to his new home, Liu remained quiet.

At an early age, Liu had become an atheist and ultimately, loathing religion as he had been a great believer in science and had known about past instances in history where the church purged scientists and denounced them as heretics. His atheism is also a result of coming from a non-religious family. However, being atheist does not mean that he is an unmoralistic swine for he had a high sense of morality and discipline partly because his parents were conservative and he had become alienated by his mostly rebellious peers. He had also become ascetic as he sees pleasure as weakness and has openly declared that he has no favorite food and starting at the age of thirteen has grown to not use the pillow when sleeping. He has become quite emotionless eversince as he does not want others to read his mind.

His conservatism is that of a hatred of liberalism which he believes had corrupted morality and is responsible for much of the decay of decency. He attacked the source of this defilement being the 'hippy' movements of the 1960s ("Hippies are just communists that have turned green from red." quoted Liu in a comment regarding their political status). He had became so conservative that he vowed never to drink, to smoke (although he has never tried) and loathed sex outside of marriage (both pre-marital and extra-marital). he had by the age of sixteen, developed an ideal of 'national discipline' (practiced in today's Sino) where there are high expectations of a people's image and thus, many social evils are wiped out and the offenders heavily punished. He had loathes homosexuals and bisexuals as he did not believe in sexual freedoms and thinks that their practice is subhuman, inferior and unnatural. Liu's conservatism also reflect hsi respect and belief in the importance of education. He had been brought up in an educated family.

Liu was often called a fascist at this age by his peers as his views were ultimately right-winged (although he did believe in market economy) and he was violently anti-communist. Anti-communism was slight in his fathers views (common in many immigrants from China who had been tired of such a rotten system) but the young Liu believe that all leftism is subhuman as he believed that they will ultimately lead to the downfall of the human way. Despite living in a democracy, the boy believed in 'enlightened and benevolent dictatorship', as he saw democracy as inefficient and too arguementative. He believed in drastic measures in emergencies.

Although a conservative, the young Liu had a rude sense of humor and unlike his peers, he listened to classical and orchestral music and loathed modern music. He collects coins and stamps and had an active interest in history, especially in regards to conflict and warfare. He had played numerous realtime strategy games on PC in his youth and had become such a fan that he was often found listening to their soundtracks. Liu was considered a "weirdo", "psycho", "geek" or "nerd" in his teenage years. He was unpopular due to his strange hobbies that were different to the rest of his dullwitted classmates; he participated in class and was bullied often. The constant bullying only made Liu more withdrawn into himself.

University Education and Early Military Career (2015-2019):

Entered university at the age of eighteen, Liu studied mechanical engineering, secretly hoping to join the local army afterwards and become an armory officer. Worked extremely hard in university and had few social contacts. graduated with a bachelor of engineering degree at the age of twenty one and decided to join the army, despite the protest from his parents.

Originally trained as an armory officer, and was commissioned as a lieutenant in 2019. Liu's exceptional marksmanship and skill as an armorer made him a keen target for sniper school and within half a year he was qualified as a sniper. By that time, the world was dancing on the edge of chaos. The age of NationStates dawned. By then, the Chinese were poised to attack the renegade province of Taiwan and the U.S. and other Western countries were in support of the rogue state. Liu at first showed no objection to being deployed to fight his own race. While travelling aboard a frigate to the combat zone, Lt. Liu developed a cunning plan. One night, when the ship was sailing close to China, with his access to the armory on board, he had taken a silenced automatic (H&K MP5 SD3) and murdered all the crewman aboard in their sleep. He had left the captain and skipper alive, to have them forced at gunpoint to sail to Zhanjiang, China (a major PLA naval port). He was planning his defection. Upon arrival, he had shot his 'hostages'. Liu had shown his true image.

Total War (2019-2026):

At first the Chinese did not trust him and he was imprisoned and was forced to undergo a crash course in re-education. His former superiors at first thought he was a spy. This is the first time in years that he had set foot again on the soil of his Motherland but as he had expected, there will be no welcoming party. However, his nationalism was too extreme and thus, he was accepted. What followed was a non-stop period of seven years of endless war. His parents were killed by an angry mob as they were left behind, due hostile reprisals towards the Chinese community over his defection.

Liu received the rank of Captain soon after his acceptance when he volunteered for a dangerous mission. When Taiwanese spec-ops hijacked an MRBM TEL (nuclear armed) and planned to use them, it was Liu who sniped the guards nearby and lased the enemy SAMs for MRLS bombardment, then pathing the way the the nuclear weapons to be recovered. He had acted alone and was rewarded.

At the rank of captain, he had retained it for almost a year before he was promoted to major, after having assasinated (sniped) several of the enemy's field commanders. During this time, sometimes at a lack of personnel, Liu worked numerous positions in the PLA. odd jobs had included MBT gunner, helicopter machingunner, translator, interrogator, executioner, recon scout, armoury officer, and comedian (although a very serious and rude one).

He had also aided and directed guerilla groups in areas of China under enemy occupation. During this period, he had sniped, bombed, commanded, sabotaged, assassinated (at close range with pistols and used poisons) and gathered intelligence. Close brushs with death in this period has wiped his mind off the fear of death. He had almost been roasted by napalm and the back of his BDUs were singed, counter-sniper activities were often close calls. He had received much light injuries durign this period. There is still a scar in this left arm when a bullet from an enemy sniper grazed him.

By the time he was promoted to Lt. Col., Liu had eversince commanded victorious battles with the vast Chinese arsenal at his disposal. His career suddenly took a fateful turn when in the summer of 2024, the newly promoted Col. Liu was to take part in an attack (a massive amphibious landing) on what is now today's Sino (formerly a terraforming project that secretly began by an American-based comapny over the 175 lattitude). Landing on a foreign shore slightly smaller than half the size of Utah, Liu's command made sure that by 2026, Liu defeats whatever of the enemy was left on today's Sino. However, yet again, a surprising outcome made him what he is today.

Path to Power (2026-2027):

A total military collapse of the PLA in late 2025, meant that a defeat has occured but the defiant Liu pressed on with the campaign. A shocking blow to the structure came when Liu's superiors were killed in a bombing by the enemy (no too long prior to the PLA collapse). With his competence, Liu's subordinates quickly proclaimed him to the rank of General (at an age of twenty-eight, that is talentedly young) and in return, General Liu, promoted some of his senoir officers that are worthy and experienced in this critical time. General Liu and his troops fought on, refusing to capitulate (his propaganda of nationalism has revived the instinct to fight on).

March 18th, 2026, General Liu's forces seized a city that is today's Junjing, Sino and the Armed Republic of Sino (and its military Junta) was established. At such a young age for a politician, the General did not allow the heavy burden on his shoulders to crush him.

The Benevolent Warlord (2026-):

With the hatred of war still fuelling the flames of Chinese nationalism, General Liu quickly set about building his own nation. Within five years, through his policies of market economy, corporate welfare and national discipline. General Liu has made Sino what it is today. He had wiped the nation clean of the negative social vices (drugs, gambling, sex and pornography), urbanized the islands that makes up Sino, produced a strong economy, controlled crime and wiped Sino off the disease of the sexually incorrect (homosexuals and bisexuals). He has also set about rebuilding his military force for which he has deemed as the ultimate struggle of uniting all Chinese-speaking peoples and repatrition of Zhongguo*. Hating the usual national animal of the Chinese- the panda, General Liu made the national animal of Sino the fictional Chinese dragon (he said "The panda is timid and unintelligent, the Chinese dragon symbolizes power and strength. General Liu's shoulder slides (representing his position as Supreme Commander), shows a paid of golden Chinese dragons.

Liu quickly attracted fellow overseas Chinese to immigrate Sino. In order to prepare for the ultimate struggle, General Liu maintains a very good personal image of himself. He does not demand personal worship (he does not even see himself as great but rather as "a Chinese serving his people."), dislikes being photographed, let alone publically displaying glorious effigies of himself. he dislikes personal worship. But instead, he has set up many flag parks in Sino (with numerous flag poles flying the Chinese flag), he promotes militant Chinese nationalism. The Chinese flag is considered as a piece of sacred clothwork. Wielding dictatorial powers, he rarely abuses such and often donates much of his annual income to the major construction and research projects in Sino. General Liu dislikes and loathes communism very much. Many communists that had tried to gain a toehold in Sino were swiftly executed. Liu believed that communism is also responsible for the downfall of the Chinese culture.

With much of the world disintergrating into tiny fractions in this period of NationStates, General Liu sees that all Chinese speaking peoples must be united- through peace or war.

Socially, General Liu dies not condone racism (despite Sino having an 88% Chinese majority and the rest being mostly white), but does allow Sino to be billingual (U.S. English and Chinese).

General Liu is a known workaholic. Often sleeping on the sofa in his office (in a classified bunker deep underground, also housing the office and conference areas of the military junta). He is unmarried, once said that he "takes pleasure in power, not sex." Still maintains the same morality of no smoking or drinking and certainly, no pre-marital sex. Being regarded as somewhat of psychopath, General Liu can be seen executing some of the nation's criminals on national television. At the age of thirty-three, he is still a capable and active sniper in the ARSA (Armed Republic of Sino Army).

Having admired Hitler's eloquence, General Liu speaks in the same volume nad vigour when it comes to speeches (despite being ever so emotionless at other times). Periodical nationalistic rallies (at scales grand enough to match Hitler's Nuremberg rallies), the General is a fiery speaker (complete with the Hitler-style hand movements), despite being a rather quiet man in his private life and enjoys burning enemy effigies.

Most of his spare time from work is spent either visiting his scientists, and troops, volunteering to help (hands on approach) with some major contruction projects and exercising (practising the old art of sniping and exercising with his troops). His hobbies besides the above include philatelics, numismatics and all things military.

History of Kyotian Prime Minister Hikaro Hakashi's career

1978: Hakashi, started civil service, by enlisting in the Kyotian Special Forces. He serves in the Pacifica Campaign, where he helped free the people there, from Fascist regime. Those fascists were responsible for the biggest terrorist attack in Kyotia to date, in 1977, in which, 1/4 of Cetius was beaten to rubble, by multiple bombings.

1980: Hakashi spends most of 1980 in Pacifica to help reconstruction of the insland, and assistance in policing the region.

1981:Hakashi's father is killed, in Kyotia, by a terrorist attack, by the hands of Communists

1982:Hakashi returns to Kyotia, with two promotions, and three medals, given by Prime Minister Keneth Jenikson. Hakashi, is now working at a miliary base in Kensitik, with a desk job, under the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

1983: Hakashi, returns to Pacifica in a Military Base, there to help quell terrorists there, and destroy the organization there, he no linger works at a desk. Then two months after arriving he is hospitalized when he was captured and tortured by Fascist terrorists. He was hospitalized, and rehabilitated for about 16 months.

1985:Hakashi is released from a Kyotian hospital, and then retires, from the military, and instead works for the Cetius police force, as Assistant Chief of Cetius.

1987: Hakashi is then promoted to Police Chief, when the former Police Chief, retired.

1991: When Hakashi's first term of being Police Chief is over, he then runs for office of Grand Minister of Cetius Province. Then in the last part of the year, he gains the office.

1994: Then after his first term as Grand Governor, he then is required to leave that office because of the Province's strict term laws. He then decides to run for the office of Prime Minister.

1995: Hikaro Hakashi is elected by the Grand Parliament as Prime Minister of Kyotia. He has five-terms, at a maximum of 6 terms. ( He is the youngest PM to enter office)

That is correct. With its strong protection of civil rights - and libertarian state - there is nothing to stand in the way of same-sex unions. In Todler's first Presidential election, his relationship with Steven wasn't even an issue.

Aequatio's longest ruling leader, a man known only as Bomfy, came to power in a coup at the nation's founding and has managed to keep control of the nation despite many changes with internal politics. Crowned Emperor for the entire time Aequatio was a vast Imperialist Empire, then became Premier when the Socialist Revolution swept over and took hold of the nation, Bomfy has been democratically elected Premier in all of the elections within the Republic since October 2003.

Rumors of his retirement have arisen, but in a statement given by the Premier, the only way he'll retire is "if someone comes in and takes this great nation of mine out of my cold, dead hands!" A great patriot, statesman and military strategist, it is said that Bomfy plans to hold power within the Republic long after the nation's 1st anniversary in the coming year.

The nation's second in command is Deputy Premier Kate Juno, Bomfy's running partner in the last election when the constitution was amended to distribute executive responsibilities by creating the office of the deputy premier.

Originally a navy fighter pilot, she was introduced to politics by the famous Aequatian Politician, the late Krist Heart, by being a government intern and aide to the Premier. After a short run as an aide, she joined the People's Social Party and viciously climbed the ranks to now stand at the side of Bomfy.

Always one to resort to military action before anything else, she has been known to become over zealous and ordered the destruction of entire cities, cost reaching the hundreds of millions for the Aequatian Military and the human cost in tens of thousands in civilian lives on the other side.

Just yesterday PMS Seamus Marquez-Yoder sgned a bill that prohibits anyone of Welsh or Kiwi desecent from living in any areas where sheep are being raised. It was done to protect the sheeps virtue from the vile, wicked and immoral Welsh, the Kiwis were add just because they tend to foam at the mouth when they see a young lamb.

President Charles Nixon. Served as Secretary of State for 10 years until Preident Jimmer died of heart-attack. He was elected soon after.

A group of learned citizens (drunken students) came up with a plan to take over Eony using chickens and robots. After they sobered up a little they refined their plans and, eventually, gained control of the country. All this was happening behind the scenes, the students where forcing the president to lower university rates, increase education funding, lower the drinking age and all sorts of useful things like that.

Rosalind, being the most highly qualified and emotionally detached was put into power by the Council with the support of the general public (now made up mostly of students). Eony was changed to ‘The Black New World’ to celebrate the quirky sense of humour of the new Queen and her council.

Well, the Empress of Naori is currently in Galdania on trial for slaughtering people or something like that. She got the job by marrying the Emperor, and after Galdania blew his palace up with a cruise missile, she took over.

Our Shogun was elected by a council of 18 prominant aristocrats, and he is currently in Tarasaki, Naori, hoping that Galdanian tanks don't run him over. :cry:

President Hector Westaz came to power after a rather quick "liberation campaign" by his unified guerilla forces over a decade ago, however The people's republic of Santo Hermando has pretty much stayed in the dark until now.

Generals, ministers, cabinet members, and party officials might come and go, but President Westaz will stay in his "beloved" position forever!

Ravea is led by Emporer Oripher Alexander (Usally called Emporer Oripher.)

Oripher is a Raven, a slur for the half-bird peoples that were native to Ravea. The Ravens lived in peace for an age with humans. Suddenly, the government decided that the Ravens were a threat to society, and started a secret police that killed Ravens. Most Ravens went underground or undercover during this time. It was diring this purge Oripher was born. His parents put him in a foster home in hopes that he wouldnt have to live in one of the sub-standard homes most Ravens lived in. His parents have not been seen since.

For 18 years, Oripher lived prosperously in his new parents home, not knowing of his liniege as one of the Ravens. Eventually, a rift began to grow between his foster parents. It eventually led to a brutal fight where Oripher defended his Foster Mother from his "Father." Oripher ended up killing him with the streanth and agility of a Raven. He located and fled to an underground Raven refuge. He was not seen or heard from for 10 years.

Oripher was succsessful in Raven society, quickly rising to the power of a warchief. Although his atempts to locate his parents were in vain, he was able to ally the 3 most powerful clans of Ravens into one large clan. With this he, against all odds, overran the royal palace and, in a climatic battle, managed to kill the Emperor.

Since then, Oripher was crowned emporer and returned the Raven's rightful social status. He is not biased, and an equal number of Ravens and humans hold top jobs in the Government. Knowing the stratgical atvantage of Ravens, Emperor Oripher formed a battallion of Crack Ravens. These people act as both Royal Gaurds and Elite Soldiers. Oripher's rule is absolute, but he has a board of advisors that influince decisions. Although he is over 50, he is still a skilled warrior and has seen the front lines of battle many times since becoming emperor. Even now he still participates is combat.

Well, the official national government leader is Lord President Heinrid Abadas. But, he happens to be Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PrattCo Conglomerate, which is still run by Bob Pratt.

Bob Pratt was given the keys to PrattCo, so to speak, when his father Billybob died. At that time, PrattCo was just a small farming and real estate company, but oil was discovered on PrattCo holdings, and in a crisis where Santa Barbaran oil imports was reaching an all-time high, PrattCo found itself rapidly becoming the nation's top oil company.

This wasn't due to the finding of oil, of course, but rather the excellent management of Bob Pratt, who had to fight against the oppressive socialist government for every inch of profit and monopoly. He was aided by his sister Suzy Jo, who was often seen as the real brains of their father's company. Together, they used every trick, some legal and others definitely not, to bring PrattCo to the forefront of the megacorporations over the course of twenty years.

With the increasingly weak United Socialist States, it was no surprise when Bob Pratt was "elected" it's President by the United Socialist Council, and his sister managed to wind up as Foreign Minister. Meanwhile, his brother Toby had long served in the USSSB armed forces, and had risen to the rank of Colonel.

However, his rise to power had not gone unnoticed or unchallenged. Patriots of the People's Republic of Isla Vista (PRIV) and the People's Republic of Montecito gave scathing criticism to what they referred to as "United Socialist States, Inc" or the 'corporate nationalism' of Bob's policies.

At that time, the backwards subcontinental state of Isla Vista had an underfunded military and serious economic hardships caused by increasing trade restrictions with Santa Barbara. Tensions only increased when funding and size for the Santa Barbaran military jumped up by 50%, and when a small Isla Vistan patrol vessel launched a short-range cruise missile from the Channel, the Isla Vistan War was initiated.

The war would later be referred to as the "Nine Hours War," since from the first shot to the surrender of the PRIV government, only nine hours passed.

Santa Barbara, just a few hundred kilometers south, had been prepositioning supplies and units for an invasion of Isla Vista. The Isla Vistan Navy, almost nonexistant, had concentrated on placement of obstacles and mines as a deterrant, and land-based naval aircraft to foil any invasion.

However, the air war was brutally short; the Isla Vistan airforce, although relatively well-funded and with experienced pilots, was outnumbered 9:1 in the initial battles by Santa Barbaran "Bullwhip" superiority fighters. The Isla Vistan short range missiles in particular had an inability to lock-on to the Bullwhips, owing to the more advanced ECM technological capabilites of the latter. The precision bombardment suppressed antiaircraft batteries on the main island, while the combined submarinal and naval vessels of the SBN swept away the Isla Vistan naval assets. In six hours almost a hundred thousand Santa Barbaran airborne and marine troops, operating from Carvajal and Cabrillo, landed within a hundred kilometers of Trigo, the capital of Isla Vista. It was over.

Casualties for the war had been relatively light, and the SBAF had been ordered to use precision weaponry for a minimum of property damage. With the official surrender of the PRIV, it would then on be known as a Federal Protectorate.

The war had produced a hero- Toby Pratt, who, having organized and lead the picture-perfect combined arms assault, was elevated to the rank of General and, again not too surprisingly, found his way by his brother's and sister's side in the government.

The three were sometimes referred to as the "founding three" of the Conglomerate.

After a period of reformation of the federal government, growth and consolidation marked the beginnings of what would later be called "the Conglomerate," or the PrattCo Conglomerate. Bob Pratt met and formed the initial charter with the executives of Cathedral Capital, Ortega Arms Company, GladBurger, Inc, State Company, and eventually hundreds of comparitively smaller megacorps, and the PCC was born.

This happened at about the same time the USC was dissolved and Santa Barbara was withdrawn from GDODAD (RL=April or so). Former detractors could now literally refer to the concept of 'corporate nationalism,' or as the confusing idealogy of the time also called 'national corporatism.' In any case, the government had been subsidized by the Conglomerate, as part of the Public Assets Department. At the same time, it's funding had been dropped. Later, the Santa Barbaran military would become the military arm of the Conglomerate alone, with the birth of the Integrated Theater Defense Organization.

The corporate nationalist movement was reinforced by the "all-pervasive police force:" the Internal Intelligence Agency and it's sub-branches. With crime reduced to almost nothing with the omnipresent corporations able and requiring to monitor the habits and preferences of the population, the IIA, lead by Gonzalo Tzu, a former member of the USSSB government, was right off the bat more responsible for high-priority, strategic cases, as well as enforcing the rule of Bob Pratt and the Board of Directors. In the end it earned a reputation of 'secret' or 'corporate police.'

The current Conglomerate is largely as it was then, but with the deaths of first Suzy Jo and later Toby, more dictatorially run than before. In addition, with the Territorial Assets Act, land has been parcelled and leased to the various Conglomerate sub-megacorps in a feudal hiearchy, making local (corporate and Federal) governments more visible and important than before. In return for the land and power, the ITDO continues to be operated and funded by the Conglomerate, and lately the military spending of which has increased to previously unheard-of levels...

[All I feel like writing now, but there's more.]

A simple story really, jiggady is the first ruler of our nation having formed it himself and named it after him. He has ruled for two years, after uniting the chain of islands that had grown distant from each other over the past hundred or so years. There was no real leader during that time, just a collection of communitites somewhat isolated from each other on the islands. All are desended of pirates who used the islands as a hideaway in the 1600's and 1700's.

Prime Secretary A. Endor was democratically elected; those elections marked the nation's transition to communism. He has been re-elected ever since.
