[OOC] I believe there was another origins thread, however I couldn't find it, so I've created a new one. Hopefully no one minds, and people join in.
Preferably, people will come here and post the origins of their countries, and so we can see where people are coming from when they express views, or, at the very least, we can laugh at their antics.

Akuma no Ie's current landscape is very little like what it was, ten years ago. Whereas now the grass has a slight tint to it that makes it look like it is dying, and the air is slightly sulfurous, it was once a lively country known as Kantor. Back in those days, the leader was a hopeful president who was a nice man, to a fault, you could say. He allowed many freedoms, lowered taxes, and had programs put in place to rehabilitate the poor and needy, and get them back on their feet.
However, for as much as the people loved him, there were those that did not. A slight underground had formed, of people with the mindset that he was slowly killing the industry, weakening the nation, and choosing to help the homeless instead of rewarding the hard-working. This underground gained more and more power, as those who had power sought to keep it, before the land was turned into a 'happy-go-lucky' sort of communism, where everyone is equal and free to do what they want.
Kusanagi Noakusei was part of this movement. While not the obvious choice for a leader, he had a strong motivation, a calm and calculating manner, and was fully committed to the country's survival, no matter the cost.
And so it happened thet one night, in a random visit to the President, a group of the underground gained power. The next morning, a national broadcast was given over every major news station worth its salt, saying that there was to be a dramatic change in policy. The new plan was to have everyone earn their keep, everyone work to become productive members of society. Gone were the people wasting away the day, gone are the people who did nothing but play all day. The nation was now to be known as Akuma no Ie, and this new nation would become a self-reliant, slightly-religious country that allowed no weakness.
While the rights of citizens were strictly regulated and reduced a great deal, the industry was no longer dying, research was increasing and going faster than ever before, and every person in the nation was either productive or forcibly productive. People who merely leeched from society changed, or disappeared. While many people complained(privately) about the tyranny of Kusanagi Noakusei, no one could argue that the country was better off now, than it was in the previous stagnant leadership.

"Anyhoo, some Scolopendran history. Way back when, in our own timeline about a hundred years ago, the Mediterranean basin was basically controlled by a series of aligned European megacorporations who used strategic control of Mediterranean ports to control southern European and Middle Eastern trade to the West. When the USA and Canada merged into the United American Conglomerate ubercorporation and its subsequent disruption of European Union and Confederate Southern Asia markets, the Mediterranean corps began to fracture in trying to control trade to the UAC. As the UAC turned into what was basically a capitalist dystopia, there was a major insurge of what little idealism remained from there to Turkey, which was generally neutral in the economic wars between the EU, CSA, and UAC.

"Seeing how all these Mediterranean corps had adopted both English and Arabic as trading language, their employees were united by language and a mutual hatred of the people they worked for. When the Second Soviet Revolution occured, those employees were caught between the infighting of the fragmenting EU and the new Soviet threat. Led primarily by the American-Turkish idealists, popular uprisings started from Morocco to Gibraltar and the employees overthrew their corporations. The governments involved were joined at the carotid to the corperations and were too weak to prevent their coastlines from basically seceeding. Realizing that unity is strength, the remnant pseudostates formed the Federated Segments of Scolopendra... picking the Latin for 'centipede' because that's kind of what the nation looked like and no one could really be offended by it.

"The EU tried to stop Neocommunism before it ran rampant again by devastating the Ukranian and Russian economies, but they did it too well. Those cultures completely destabilized and turned into collections of petty warlord-states similar to Holy Roman Germany, and some obviously had a few nuts. They launched missiles at EU economic sectors and a EU already weakened by internal disagreements finally ruptured. This is when we started pulling extraction campaigns to save innocents, especially in the Crimea and central-to-western Europe. Then the Economic Alliance of Africa started up, and began pushing our southern borders.

"Once the nukes started flying, all bets were off. The UAC and CSA started to press on the Republic of Karmabaijan in Japan and the Southern Pacific, trying to make it another economic imperial holding, and the nation of Suunto in Siberia and Kamchatka started getting pressure from both them and the more powerful Russian warlords once they started successfully extracting resources from the tundra.

"We invented a gravitic drive but didn't have enough resources to implement it properly, so Karmabaijan, Suunto, and us formed an alliance of necessity called the Triumvirate of Yut. Using Suunto's resources, Karmabaijan's ability to pull strings between the UAC and CSA, and our own know-how, we decided to implement a plan to colonize Titan and get the hell off a destabilizing Earth.

"We launched our first colony fleets of five million fleets, and then reality... broke. I was a kid on the colony ships at the time, and I remember feeling distinctly different. The UAC, CSA, EU, EAA, all of 'em, and even our mother countries themselves, just up and disappeared. They were replaced with whatever the hell this multiverse Earth is, with Lodoss, Arda, layer after layer of conflicting reality piled on top of each other. We were stranded on self-sufficient colony ships with no home to return to. It was either colonize Titan or die.

"That was thirty-five years ago... we think, based on our aging. Still, look at the Ring. We couldn't have built that in so short a time, no matter how much help we got. Our technology has advanced in leaps and bounds, all logically progressing. Our only real explanation is that reality is horribly bent, and so is time--we've both been out here for a mere thirty-five years and several hundred. It's difficult to explain, but you can see it every day--hundreds of nations seeming to run at different speeds, hundreds of nations claiming the same land even but not conflicting. Lodoss is both an island chain in the Atlantic and it is no more than ocean simultaneously; Arda is a whole continent the same. Earth is the size of Jupiter, a ringworld, or a hyper-tesseract world depending on who you ask.

"Ugh. I'm rambling." The major shakes her head. "Sorry, but we're a rational people stuck into what, in total, is an irrational situation. Call it a national madness."

---History---
The Aztec civilization goes back to around the year 1200 AD. This is when an aliance of 3 tribes banded together and moved south. In a little less than 100 years, the small tribe grew into a bussling empire of 20 million and became scientificaly advanced and was close to Europe in terms of technology. The hieght of their civilization came inbetween the years of 1400-1520 AD, in which they controled from where modern day border of Texas is down to lower Central America. However, in 1521, the Aztec capital was destroyed by maruading Spanish forces hungry for gold and the Empire fell. While most of the people were enslaved, several people escaped into the wilderness, took several ancient artifacts and remained silent until the 2nd Aztec Empire was established in an area called the West Pacific. This empire was a failure, and was quickly taken over by the Tomez Milita, an imperialistic, militant organization that enslaved the people in the harshest of conditions. This led to 100 more years of subjegation until another revolt of the Aztec people took place, which resulted in a fourteen year war. The Aztec National League was formed after the Battle of Veracruz, in which Quetzalcoatl led his forces in a winner-take all 8-day battle against the Tomez Milita where the monument "Plaza of The Aztec Fight for Independence" is today.

After the battle, Quetzalcoatl became the leader of the country and pledged that he will never conduct a war again, "unless there is a direct threat to the soverignity, integrity and people of the Aztec Nation League." Shortly there after, the ANL Parlament passed the "Articles of Confederation" and established an confeditory government. Soon afterwards, the confederacy's ideals became too bothersome and interefering with political agendas. The parlament, giving into public demand, voted to disovle the confederation and establish a "communist" government. The nation is growing rapidly and has begun to create several diplomatic relations with various nations. Today, the Aztec National League is an major producer of chocolate, electronics, computers, conventional weapons and MiGs.

History Of Nikea
Brief Description

Tri Kingdom Era:
The earliest recorded information about the founding of Nikea dates back 1,500 years, to the Tri-Kingdom Era. During this time, three kingdoms within the land now known as Nikea; the Kingdom of Queldirien, the Queendom of Interirien, and the Kingdom of Straediakil, all vied for control of the lands of their counterparts. Queldirien, which was based in the northwest mountainous lands, gained a slight edge over the two kingdoms. This advantage was soon lost, as at the Battle of Marseno, King Marelius of Straediakil defeated the forces of Queldirien. Queldirien King Relirius was killed in the battle.
The son of Relirius, Nikelus, took control of the kingdom. Knowing that his kingdom was in a quality defensive position, yet unable to strike out with a sufficient force, he arranged for his marriage to Princess Monica of Interirien. The marriage solidified an alliance between the two kingdoms, and it was only a matter of time before Straediakil was defeated. Straediakil officially surrendered five years after the marriage of the two royals, when King Markeno, the son of King Marelius, signed the surrender treaty. Queldirien controlled three kingdoms, and soon absorbed more land into the growing Empire.

Elven Involvement in Queldirien:
After the relative peace formed under Nikelus, Queldirien explorers explored the region later known as the Mithriandim Forest, which was previously unknown. Explorers found a new people, who spoke a different language. Nikelus was fascinated by this find and personally visited the new people. A delegation of these people, who called themselves Edhil in their tongue, accompanied Nikelus back to the capital. The Edhil soon impressed Nikelus and his subjects, and they soon became integrated into Queldirien society. Their language (which the Edhil called Sindarin), which was much smoother and easier on the ears than the harsh tongue shared by Queldirien and Interirien, soon integrated itself into the language of Queldirien, creating a very elvish sounding language, spoken by predominantly humans. The empire’s name also changed: it became known as Nikeael locally, translated into English as Nikea, after the king who united the three kingdoms. To this day, the Edhil still live in Nikean lands, and are as important to Nikea today as they were in the past.

From Empire to Republic:
There was stability in the nation of Nikea for 1300 years following the Edhil involvement and the end of the Tri-Kingdom Wars. Towards the end of this period, however, some of the lower classes and the wealthy merchant classes wanted a greater say in what took place in the nation. Upon the advice of the Edhil, Emperor Lesinen V began to slowly introduce political reforms, with hope of eventually forming a republic. This included the establishment of the Keristelir, which consisted of elected commoners, under the watchful eye of the Emperor. The Nikean Senate, and Cabinet was set up, and in 1795, Emperor Lesinen V declared an end of the Imperial line of Emperors, and made the Empire of Nikea into the People’s Republic of Nikea.
Elections for a President were soon held. Queldasian merchant Torsenin Mortethel was quite popular, and received 57% of the votes to become the first president of the People’s Republic.

Nikean Civil War, Establishment of a Dominion:
The People’s Republic was at peace for 300 years. A group of individuals, who were discontent with the Edhil and foreign involvement in Nikean society, formed the Rentiriu Nikeaeleth Sorinisti (The Nikean Preservation Society), in order to covertly undermine foreign involvement in Nikean matters. When they gained military allies, they launched an assault on the government, laying siege to the capital of Queldas. Loyalist forces soon ended the siege, and a standoff ensued. Outside help in the form of forces from the Dominion of Rhinara aided the government forces, which ended the war with a covert operation designed to arrest the NPS leaders. The civil war soon ended, and President Solarin Tinuviethel realized the need for a tighter control over the everyday politics of the nation. The People’s Republic became a Dominion, and the President maintains control until a period of peace has passed.

HISTORY

In 1949, the KMT withdrew to Taiwan and formed the Republic of China, then known as Formosa after losing the mainland to Mao Tse Tung's People's Liberation Army. Chiang Kei Shek led the ROC under martial law for the next ten years and masterminded an economic boom, with GDP per capita reaching $35,000. For the next half a century, the ROC remained under martial law under various leaders.

In 1995, martial law was lifted by the KMT and held it's first election. The KMT retained a massive majority on the back on economic success. In 1998, Pro-independence Chen Shui Bian of the DPP took advantage of KMT infighting and led his party to a landslide victory, winning over 54% of the vote and forming a one-party government.

Three months after Chen's victory, The ROC declared independence from the mainland and changed its name to Republic of Taiwan. A nuclear showdown followed, with China eventually backing down after widespread international condemnation. Both sides are working towards the normalising of relations.

Kianti's history is only a nebulous memory for Kianti and her denizens. Poor records and isolation have finally caught up to today's modernism, disadvantageous for historians craving a complete historical jigsaw, with Kianti usually being the missing piece.
- Ancient Kianti -
The earliest, and one of the rarest records existing today about the formation of Kianti dates back to approximately 3000 B.C. Scattered among what is today known as Kianti, tribes co-existed and prospered greatly amongst themselves. Advance for their area, neighboring tribes went from envious to jealous. In approximately 1337 B.C., foreign unrest, although unorganized and unconcentrated, began besetting the Kiantian region. Animosity flourished on the foreign lands, therefore, the Kiantian tribes [not known as Kianti(an) until mid 1500s] united as one, some reluctantly, and isolated themselves from the rest of the world.
- Stagnant Kianti -
With isolation being governmentally popular year after year, Kianti's outside neighbors were altogether a mystery. Even the Kiantians didnt know their country all too well! Ignorance among Kianti and her neighbors always ran rampant, and their affinities were usually concentrated on trade - prosperity and affluence was the main goal, even if it were to be isolated. Isolationalism began to be assuaged in the late 1700s, leaving Kianti a vast mystery for the outside world to explore, akin for the Kiantians and their outside world.
- Bursting Borders Galore -
With isolationalism decreasing, the borders of Kianti began to be open, "liberated" as it was named. The homogeneous Kiantians started to be influenced greatly, especially by her immediate neighbor, Alapumpaleya (Their creator and I are friends in real life). With such ideas flowing swiftly everywhere, differences grew. Month by month, hatred among Alapumpaleya and Kianti increased.
- War -
Finally, after many years of a stagnant relationship, Alapumpaleya and Kianti declared war. Unfortunately, the records from this period were destroyed, but we do know that the war lasted for 33 years.
- Post-war Life-
After the 33 year war, of which most of it was minor pillaging, diplomatic name-calling, and miserable hatred, Kiantian and Alapumpaleyan ties were "redone." Enmity was high though. By now, we think the year is 1877. Life in Kianti was pretty how it was 100 years before - slow and poor. WW1 and WW2 both ravaged the country, internally and somewhat externally. Borders were constant, redrawn moderately. By now, its mid 20th century. Life slowly began to modernize, yet remained behind much of the world.

Xanthal's origin in a nutshell:
People mostly from east Asia migrated to the continent of Zithal. They lived in feudal states there until the late ninteenth century, when the state of Shi'in Ra united them all by way of conquering them. In 1960 the country was officially named Xanthal and it's first real government was constructed by Zeke Zabertini; the nation's founder and national hero.

The origins of the hell bovinian race can be traced back to the Diablo 2 world, where, according to hell bovinian legends, their race was created by Lord Diablo.
One day, 600 years ago, the world of Diablo 2 collapsed and the hell bovines were miracously teleported to the nationstates world, where they created a kingdom.
They lived happily for many years, until the arrival of the European colonists. English and Spanish battled for the control of the hell bovinian territory, until the Spaniards won, effectively turning Hell Bovines into an Spanish colony.
For the years that followed, the hell bovinian race lots its culture and its desire to live, and the europeans used them as cattle, despite the fact that they were sentient. Hell bovinian meat was exported to all the world, and the talking cows just gave up all hope of independence.

But, from this period of darkness, a light of hope appeared. A young hell bovine named Mooo Blackhooves made the other bovines realise that they should fight to achieve freedom. A guerrilla movement was established under his leadership and the hell bovines managed to kick out the spaniards from their country, in the bovine revolution, achieveing independence as a marxist, enviromentalist and democratic grand duchy.

After Blackhooves death, he was recognised as our biggest national hero.
400 years later, the grand duchy broke its political isolation and became a respected member of the international community, an activist for human and non-human rights, a member of the Non-Human Union and a great participant of the Third World conferences.

What is sure to be a long read (and hopefully interesting) when it is finished, should give everyone an overview of my nation. A small teaser of sorts to get started. I will need some time to complete it as I wish to give my wonderful nation the attention it deserves, and hopefully educate all on this lost piece of history, of my wonderful peoples, and their very ancient beginnings.

Bariloche started out by it's independence from the Argentinian Republic and starting a self-supporting community. With the passing of time, nearby regions joined and recently a central government has become necesary for the well being of the population. In the near future Bariloche is espected to start having bi-lateral relations with other States.

Part I Origin

Manifest Destiny and The American and Foreign Agency

The history of Patoxia began in 1848 when Aaron Haight Palmer presented a plan to President Polk to establish an American presence in the orient by seizing the island of Sakhalin. President Polk however rejected this plan, and an undeterred Palmer decide to push for the seizure of Sakhalin through The American and Foreign Agency.

Using his personal fortune he organized an settlement expedition in 1852 to Sakhalin and dispatched a number of passenger ships containing settlers and private soldiers along with three steamers outfitted with cannons. Leading the way was the “Serapis”christened after the vessel that John Paul Jones had captured in 1779.

Tensions Rise

The settlers landed and began to settle down, a number of them died during the first horrible winter on Sakhalin, but The American and Foreign Agency continued to bring more and more settlers to Sakhalin.

In the Spring, an expedition led by Lieutenant Voronin came to the early settlements and declared that Sakhalin was now Russian Territory and Incensed by the developments unfolding on Sakhalin, Japan begun to send soldiers to their territory of Karafuto (Southern Sakhalin) to reinforce the area.

War with Russia

In the August of 1853, The Russians acted, Gennadii Nevelskoi set out to capture the island for Russia. Russian troops under the command of D.I. Oriov landed on the western coast of Sakhalin and established an outpost called 'Ilinskii Post'. Upon hearing of this the settlers took vote and decided to attack the Russian outpost. Under the leadership of Gen. Joseph Taylor Ives, the settlers attacked Ilinskii Post on September 1st, 1853. After a pitched fight, the Russians surrendered. Nevelskoi was not done however, and in October he landed a force under Major Busse which routed the small Japanese force that had been stationed there and begun building 'Muravievskii Post'.

Refugees begun fleeing the area including some officials who ran into the American Settlers. In exchange for helping repulse the Russians the officials promised to allow the settlers to stay on the land that they had occupied in the North. However the winter had started, so the settlers and refugees hunkered down until March 5th 1854 when a joint Settler-Japanese Force attacked Muravievskii Post and captured it in a bloody battle which resulted in Nevelskoi retreating to his mainland headquarters at the mouth of the Amur river.

Victory and the Birth of the Confederacy

The settlers decided to stop the Russians once and for all and in a daring attack in late May of 1854, they crossed the Tatary Strait and attacked the remnants of Russia's forces and captured the outpost. Gennadii Nevelskoi formally surrendered to Gen. Ives on May 31st 1854, by this time however, Russia was busy fighting the Crimean War and was forced to recognize the settler's claims. The settlers soon organized themselves in a confederation and on November 2nd 1855 they officially became the Confederacy of Patoxia.

INTRODUCTION

This history has been handed down to us by a few tattered historical records that have been saved from various archives, in particular the Secret Archives of the Vatican, oral history as remembered by our forefathers, and alot of research by our minister of antiquities. Most of our early history was lost due to ancient disasters and has been reconstructed from the above sources. Thought to be a fairly accurate accounting of our timeline in world history, alot of dates are specultive at best. Each day though, through archeological digs of the ancient mideast, research by eminent world scholars, and a unending quest to learn of our heritege and birthright, we are learning more and more. This will allow us to expand on our majestic origins and thus help our nation take its place in the great timeline of history. Happy reading.

ANCIENT BEGINNINGS

The universe is a big place and as such, it is foolish to think that the peoples of Earth are the only intelligent beings in such a big and wonderous space. The beginnings of the peoples of Lumuria started long long ago in another part of the Milky Way Galaxy on the far right spiral arm of the cluster. Two planets in that solar system had life seeded into their primordial oceans by an even more ancient race from a different galaxy many millions of years ago.These beings are thought to have been the lifegivers of the universe and as such we have no ability to comprehend what and who they are and we do not even dare fathom these questions as there is just no way to answer them at this time with our current understanding of things. Not much at all is known about this time in history but oral thoughts and rememberences have been passed down through the family lines of the nobility of what is to eventually become Lumuria. One of these two planets would eventually be called NIBIRU and this is the home planet of our ancestors (and possibly yours).

A WONDEROUS WORLD

The planet of NIBIRU evolved from this primordial "soup" and through benevolent interactions of other, more ancient races of the universe, came a species of humanoid with intelligent abilities, bipedal locomotion and and ability to increase the size of their brains without limit. (The model for these humanoids were in the image of their creator and thoug much bigger in size, look pretty much like present earth humans).
-Civilization eventually evolved (faster than on earth) and a system of rule came about which we will call a monarchy for simple reference. This probably happened about 1.9million B.C., speeded along with the help of the "lifegivers"of the universe. (These "lifegivers-Gods" maintained a detached and Godlike relationship and were never seen but by a very few, tough they were very often heard by the people. Think Moses and the ten commandments).
-With this help and the amazing intellectual abilities of these "lifegivers",who were thought of as Gods, a wonderous world developed on this planet which, if seen from space, had droplets of naturally occuring gold particles that hung in the upper atmosphere that kept the planet warm (and amazingly pleasing to the eye) as the planet was about as far away from its sun as Uranus is to its sun.

-One ruler for the whole planet was all there was in the beginning and everyone existed in peace and harmony and life was what can only be called "Utter Utopia". Buildings were gilded in Gold leaf and statues of the "lifegivers" were in every public and private courtyard and in all homes and goverment institutions. Technology and science became highly evolved thanks to the "lifegivers" and all the knowledge of the universe and almost all of its wonders were given to these people at a very early time in their growth. Highly advanced would be an understatement to say the least. The life span of these Nibiruns by the way is much much longer than earth life spans. A reference of sorts would be for every one year on NIBIRU, 3,600 years would pass on the Planet Earth. So for all intense and purpose, these beings are immortal to the people of earth, though they eventually do perish and the longest age told about was 150 years or "Sars" inNIBIRU time. (Later, on earth, the ancient Sumerian culure would use this as the term for one elliptical orbit of this home planet of these great people). The kingdom of this planet flourished for many a millinia and succession was handed down via blood lines from what was called the "house of AN" and all kings would have this prefix as part of their name for the rest of time.

-We now jump to 450,000 B.C. and this is the time of royal family conflict. (The first recorded at least). Brothers fought for control, sexual relations between the royal house produced many "bastard heirs" to the throne, sons fought with fathers, wifes conspired against husbands and on and on. This turmoil within the royal house went on for 50,000 years and amazingly through it all, the house held together.

-400,000 B.C. now and peace has been reestablished throughout the world thanks to the current ruler, ANU of NIBIRU. A man dedicated to peace and diplomacy, he heraled in a new Era for the planet and society proceeded to prosper once again. During the previous 1000 years, technology and science had progressed to the point that interstellar space travel was possible and the peoples of NIBIRU explored the heavens, encountering many other primitive worlds with "humanoid beings" going through their processes of evolution. They were carefull not to interfere with these planets unless they had obtained simalar levels of technological advancement and in particular, the ability to travel in an interstellar fashion, which none had even come close to. This edict which is called "Rules of First Contact" had been given to the NIBIRUN's by the "lifegivers" in a vision to one of the ancient scientists many years ago, just as they had disocvered how to breach the confines of their solar system. The reason for this edict seems complicated, but if one looks at the bylaws that it contains, it becomes clear that the "lifegivers" intended for each species of a planet to evolve without undue and unneeded outside influence. (At this point in history, the "lifegivers" had abstained from interacting with NIBIRU as to let them evolve and grow on their own without outside influence, and with the ability of the Nibirun's to travel in space, in particular, outside of their solar system, the lifegivers felt that a race this advanced would soon begin to question the concept of Gods and try to seek them out and THIS would surly not be allowed to happen. Better to stay hidden and mysterious for the betterment of these people).

DISASTER LOOMS- 400,000 YEARS AGO

-Around the same time, the "gold particle rings" around the planet and the "gold particles" in the atmosphere started to mysteriously dissapear. The effect on the planet was immense. Steadily decreasing surface tempuratures on the surface and horrible storms were starting to take place on a daily basis. The tempuratures at nightfall sometimes dropped down to 100 degrees below zero (Farenheit).The scientists were at a loss to explain what was happening. One theory was that the planet had shifted on its axis and was loosing its magetic field, as the "gold particles" in the atmosphere and in the rings around the planet seemed to be drifting away from the planet and scattering in space, but no one was sure as there was nothing in their knowledge bases that even remotely related to what was happening.
Surly though, something needed to be done, as the storms were having distaserous effects on just about everything. Buildings, though very sturdy, were beginning to show stress, excpet for the wonderous pyramids that dotted the landscape, the thermal heating systems that were an important part of the infrastrucure of all structures were becoming unreliable and the solar power generating plants were beginning to break down, people were freezing to death when they went outdoors without proper protection from the elements and vegetation was dying which was causing a horrible food shortage. The panet's space ports, due to the weather, were often unusable and when they were, spacecraft often crashed back down to the surface after entering the ionosphere and encountering unexpected turbulance. The fleet of crafts which numbered in the thousands, was steadily dwindling because of this and the spacecraft enginners could not build new crafts fast enough to replace the lost ones. Many Nibirunauts were killed in these crashes and the younger generations had not yet been fully versed in the operations of the crafts. King ANU was at his lowest and the stress was beginning to show on his face and in his voice. He feared a total collapse of his mighty civilization if something was not done to find a cause for this tragic disaster and poured all of his planet's efforts into finding a solution.

A PLAN FOR SURVIVAL

ANU sent for his most brilliant scientist, E.A., who had discovered a planet in a far off solar system a few years ago, to his palace. This planet showed signs of "gold" and if E.A. could figure out why the particles were dissapearning from the confines of the planet, and if he could figure out a way to stabilize the atmosphere, with what was left of the gold on the planet and in the atmosphere and rings(which was not much), then maybe a mission to this far off planet could be commenced to retreive more gold to infuse into the dwindling atmosphere of NIBIRU. E.A. finally figured out that the planet had indeed shifted, but not on it's axis as thought, but out of its orbit around their star. With a series of artificially induced planetquakes, the orbit eventually returned to normal. But the "gold particles" were all but gone and the protection that they afforded the planet ceased to exist. A mission of fifty scientists, led by E.A., was commenced at once to leave for this far off planet to try and retreive the gold that was so needed to infuse the atmosphere.

As a newly incorporated entity the Incorporated States of Whyzardia has a short and mostly uninteresting history. Our roots extend back to 1865 when our first homesteader, Isa Whyzard, refused to admit defeat after the subjugation of the Confederate States of America. Returning to his ranch near Crawdad, Texas he rounded up his family and his cattle, stole a lightly defended troop transport ship, and sailed off into the Gulf of Mexico to seek a new home. Eventually he found a small, uninhabited tropical island and began clearing off the rain forest to establish a new cattle ranch. Finding life on the island good he sent secret messages back to many of his friends across the old South inviting them to join him in his new island paradise.

For nearly 100 years the ranchers and their descendents lived in peace and secrecy, terrified that the United States government would discover their hidden land and try to force them back into the Union. Eventually it dawned on them that nobody was interested in annexing their now totally deforested island since it smelled to high heaven thanks to a century of accumulated cow dung. Relieved, the homesteaders raised their veil of secrecy and began to export their beef products to raise money to import lumber and build actual houses instead of the rock huts they had been forced to dwell in since the last trees were cut down in the 1930s.

Thanks to the recent world-wide Mad Cow Disease scare the islanders have found that beef products from a nation that has forbidden any imports of new stock or feed products for over a century can command premium prices on the world market. In order to capitalize on this huge advantage over other cattle producing nations the island's top citizens decided to form a single nationwide corporation to control all trade in and out of the country. And so it evolved that I, the only surviving descendent of the original Whyzard, have been elected to lifetime tenure as CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Incorporated States of Whyzardia.
