EOTED comes to you to offer the banner of peace. EOTED comes with olive leaves and white flags, offering apologies. All they are missing are the stalhelm and the jackboots! Oh yes, my friends, many conquerors have come forth from the shadows proclaiming "We come in peace." And how many nations have fallen for that age old lie?

And now you must ask yourself, for the sake of your people, will you fall into that ancient trap? Ma-tek offers apologies for past actions. Are they sincere? I no more believe that those apologies are sincere than I believe that the sun will rise in the west, or that if I drop an apple that it will soar into the sky. Do you believe those lies? I do not, and I hope you do not either.

Some of you might remember this: EOTED placed satellites, malicious satellites, above the Reich. This little feint nearly caused an international inncident. And that is just one occasion! I can't begin to remember all the jabs and thrusts EOTED has made against innocent nations and powers. Now, if EOTED is willing to provoke the Reich - a powerhouse of military might - what do you think EOTED will do to you? If your nation is small, or not sufficiently militarized, you are nothing more than a target of persecution. They will persecute their wars of stupidity against you without justification, withour provokation, and without reason.

Did not Hitler say he had no intentions of violating Belgium neutrality? Did not Hitler say the Reich was a sincere friend of Holland? Did not Hitler occupy Norway for the cause of 'protecting' that nation from Anglican aggression? Lies! And now Ma-tek repeats the same, tried lies.

These apologies are no more than lip service. EOTED is whispering sweet nothings in your ears. If anyone doesn't believe me, merely investigate the history of Ma-tek and her cronies. You will not find an EOTED or Ma-tek that searches for peace, but one that moves violently against innocent nations. Even now as Akilliam resides in the same region as Ma-tek, we will not sheath our swords. We no more trust Ma-tek now than any other dangerous beast of the field. If we, while living in the same region as Ma-tek can not trust that den of liars, can you?

We level these accusations without hesitation. We keep our swords drawn without reservation. We will deny, slander, berate, and denegrate anything Ma-tek does 'in the name of peace'. Look for yourselves. Investigate. You will find nothing of peace. You will find only war. You are now presented with the EOTED Trojan Horse. Turn it away.

EOTED is a nation, composed of several nationstates. Well, I beliebe Ma-Tek will explain it better, if he ever shows up in here :x

Greetings, oh leader of Akilliam,

I write you in reply to your unusually harsh words against the Empire of the Eternal Dawn recently. For a moment, a shudder went down my spine. The rhetoric was that of former Reich days. Days that I had hoped your nation had moved beyond.

You spoke of a Trojan horse. Naturally, this concerned us. At this very moment, their Neynan troops are moving into Knootoss in the name of peace (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106735). However we believe their efforts to be sincere. We have had much contact with the Empire, and if treated with the respect they believe is due, they can be most generous and kind.

Look at the history of your own nation, of both our nations. You are now our SATO allies instead of mortal enemies. It is true, friends can turn enemies, but enemies can also turn friends. EOTED is trying to be a friend.

I ask you, Dictator Aelius, look into your heart for a moment. Have the nenyans done you wrong? Does your nations flag not wave briskly above your abode? Peace there is now, and peace there can still be. I implore you to, to forget the days of yonder and look to the bright future together. Let us civilised nations not quarrel needlessly.

I write you this word of advice, speaking as a loyal friend. And as a friend I remain

I will be brief in this. I would not trust those dogs in my backyard. If you need military assistance there are other sources to turn to. Why not ask for the help of a nation that isn't so blood thirsty? If you had asked, Akilliam would have met your needs.

Instead, you have the devil himself sneaking through your nation. This is a most unfortunate turn of events. Ma-tek, EOTED, or the Empire of the Eternal Dawn - no matter what moniker you choose - they simple can't be trusted. I am taken aback at this flight of fancy on your part.

I pray you listen to reason and demand the removal of all EOTED forces or government employees from your land.

Akilliam attempts to push us to war; we will not have it. We have no intention of violating the sovereignty of that nation, or any other nation.

Der Angst says that we Nenyans 'oppress' our people. How... foolhardy. If we 'oppress' our people, pray tell how is it that there are two Humans on the Executive Council? Pray tell why the vast majority of HMI Government is composed of Humans, and not Nenyans?

The Empire of the Eternal Dawn, a relatively new political and supra-national entity, is built on the bones of the preceding Empire of the Eternal Flame. A former 'leading military' member of SATO, EOTED was once commonly believed to be either a superpower, or as close to said description as can be held. A founding and 'Eternal' member of the now-defunct organisation 'CENNA' along with its long-time former ally Menelmacar, the Empire was once a leading nation on the world stage, having taken central roles in several major international incidents and events. So far having a brief, but illustrious history, the Empire is lead by three branches of government; the executive branch, the Executive Council; the legislative branch, Imperial House; and the constitutional branch, Citizens House. EOTED is composed of three nations, one colony, and one protectorate: the Imperial Dawn City of Ma-Nenya, the Imperial Dawn State of Ma-tek, the Imperial Dawn State of Ax-turath, the Sol Orbital Colony of Vilya Elenosto, and the Imperial Dawn Protectorate of Wolf Ville. Total population is two billion, not counting Wolf Ville. The population would be far higher, but I fixed the population ICly some time ago at two billion - a tad under the actual 'game-engine' population of Ma-tek, currently.

EOTED was originally played by three players, one of which was myself, but the other two quit writing, leaving me to carry on. More information is available at the above link. NOTE: The Factbook is slightly out of date. Trade figures are incorrect, and the overview at the top needs updating (the updated version is the version pasted above); virtually everything else is accurate.]

Considering the size of our aid budget, we are fairly certain that quite enough in the way of reparitions have been paid. And Tahar Joblis recieved a sizeable sum in the way of reparitions following the Amerigon Slaver War.

What nations have we engaged in hostilities with?

Why, that's a short list, relatively speaking; and virtually all are defensive conflicts.

Imperium of Dor Daedoloth (Melkor Unchained) - Fought against in the All Elves Conflict, in defense of All Elves; faced invasion of the Empire by the Imperium soon after; several thousand military casualties, a few units of ten casualties on the IDF side initially - that figure swelled to some five thousand by the end of the war, all of which were at sea; fifty million civilian casualties due to the fall of the Nargothrond Battlestation

Chellis - Fought alongside the Imperium in the invasion of the Empire; Chellis supplied geographic land access to the Empire; Chellis now EOTED-aligned

Wretchengard - Involved in the invasion of the Empire; several thousand casualties during the destruction of the Wretchengard fleet by the IDF N

Brotherhood of Nod - Involved in the invasion of the Empire; casualties unknown

Kalessin - Involved in the invasion of the Empire; casualties unknown; EOTED now in negotiations with Kalessin regarding a trade deal

All those involved in the Amerigon Slaver War - EOTED attempted to seperate the sides in the Amerigon Slaver War, launching non-lethal missile strikes against the mainland and fighting a 'harry and withdraw' war at sea and in the air, with marginal success

Tahar Joblis - Major naval battle with during the Amerigon Slaver War; few casualties on either side, EOTED and Tahar Joblis now military/economic/diplomatic allies

Rukemia - EOTED was allied with Rukemia, but following massive aggression by Rukemia and a resulting invasion by several nations, EOTED enacted a succesful defensive war to protect the People of Rukemia - and then succesfully occupied Rukemia with a surprise attack. Rukemia issued an unconditional surrender within two hours of EOTED troops landing in the capital, Mercia, without either side taking a single casualty. The Rukemian Campaign is considered to be the fastest and most efficient campaign in military history.

AMF and allies - Annexation failed when AMF was 'sunk' by Eru; allied space fleet was decimated by an assault by a combined EOTED/FSP fleet in a single assault; casualty figures unknown, but believed to be several thousand enemy casualties

UTP - Accidental destruction of several dozen warships during the 'When Gods Go To War' incident in a 'friendly fire' incident caused by Orm Embar; no allied casualties, enemy casualties numbered in the hundreds, if not thousands; diplomatic tension remains, EOTED ejected from UTP for reasons unknown

Milantos - Milantos was on the recieving end of a surgical strike by the IDF SN (atmospheric strike, not orbital) due to allegations by EOTED of duplicity by the UTP during the 'When Gods Go To War' incident; EOTED now admits error on the duplicity score, but does not apologize for the surgical strike itself, which caused very few casualties thanks to the extreme efficiency of the forces involved - no civilian casualties: all casualties were military

Russian Forces - Abortive 'defensive' air war fought alongside ADK during the Eurasian War; EOTED suffered three casualties, enemy forces suffered indeterminate number of casualties (over twenty)

Imperial Forces - Enacted a (failed) nuclear assault against the Empire following the Empire's involvement in the Eurasian War; Imperial Forces later paid some US$20trillion in reparitions; EOTED suffered three thousand six hundred casualties

Whispering Voices, Thelas, Dyelli Beybi, GDODAD - Suffered twenty-five thousand IDF casualties in total during the Knootian War whilst fighting alongside Knootoss and SATO, most of which were incurred by Whispering Voices due to acknowledged blunders by the SATO command structure on the ground, and due to overpowering odds against the EOTED naval Battlegroup deployed at sea; EOTED and Whispering Voices later became allies; current EOTED-Whispering Voices relations tense following Menelmacari economic aggression against EOTED

TROUSRS - Launched a failed nuclear/biologic assault against the Empire; issued an unconditional surrender at the demand of the Empire after failing to provide a 'reason' for the attack during the once-extended (originally six hours) allotted twelve hours; no casualties on either side

Wolf Ville - Liberated from the rule of a brutal dictator known as 'Father'; the Wolf Ville Naval Guard suffered 5,000 casualties due to pinpoint orbital assaults; zero ground casualties (civilian or military) due to active engagement by the IDF GF; thousands of POW captures - rehab program in progress, occupation/rebuilding/slow return to autonomy ongoing
